I've been a fan since 1997. I was 15 when I started and now I'm 42. That's 27 years. I been to one concert on September 13 2000 at the York Fair in York Pennsylvania. Which is hard to believe will be 25 years next year. I've always loved this song.

The 90s era was perhaps one of the best era the human civilization ever experienced. Everything was perfect back then, i wish i could go back in those days when exchanging letter was the only medium of communication for high schooler. Talking hours and hours over corded telephone, sitting with dad, mom and brother for dinner at night gossiping about the future plans.... It was really fun back then.

I’m 35 and I’ve loved Hanson since I was 9 years old in 1997 - Zac Hanson was my first crush ever! Their music is so good though that I love it to this day. While I have nostalgia for Backstreet Boys and NSYNC, Hanson are the true artists and musicians and their music and style evolved and grew as they did. 💕

Tenía 12 años cuando está canción salió hace 20 años, veia el video en MTV y siempre pasaban en el mismo orden los videos, asi que después de tal video sabia que pasaria el de Penny and me, cuando volvia de la escuela era la hora que pasaba el video y era la hora de comer, mi mamá nos gritaba a mi hermana y a mi para que fuéramos a la mesa y no queriamos por esperar a que pasara el video, desde el comedor se veia la puerta de mi habitación y la tele estaba en un base pegada a la pared que podia girar, entonces mi hermana y yo, girabamos la tv de forma que la viéramos desde el comedor y poniamos silencio por qué mamá se enojaba de que no ns concentrabamos en comer. Obvio que se daba cuenta de que estabamos viendo la tv por qué no dejabamos de ver hacia la habitación y porque nos emocionabamos cuando iniciaba el video y así era todos los dias.

Algunos dias iba una señora a ayudarnos con la limpieza y entonces poniamos algun disco de Hanson a todo volumen, la señora ya sabia que canciones eran 😂, se emocionaba con nosotras 😅.

Love the song. Cannot believe it is 20 years since I heard it first!! I have been a massive fan since I was 15 in 1998. They have been one of my favourites bands throughout my teens and to now. I am in my 40s and have loved introducing their music to my kids!!
Still remember when I discovered this song. I grew up a big fan, and actually got into drumming because of Zac. "Middle of Nowhere" was the first CD my parents ever bought me when I was eight years old. Saw them live in 2000 at the Embassy Theater in Fort Wayne, IN. I remember suddenly not hearing anything about them after like Summer 2001, being too young to know or realize all the label stuff that was going on with them at the time. Suddenly, in like late 2004, I was on a download spree after getting a new PC. I looked up Hanson on LimeWire and among the results was "Hanson - Penny & Me (NEW!!).mp3" A few weeks later, I saw the Underneath CD on sale at Walmart, picked it up, and of course, this song was played a ton. Still one my favorite songs by them.

I remember back in 2005 when i was only 5 yrs old, I always play this on repeat in my dads car
All I had to do was hum the melody and I got the song. When I first heard the song was on radio many years ago, but didn't know it was the same Hanson that sang the "mmmbop" hit. Now I understand it's "penny and me" and not "plenty of me" 😂
