I'm 40 now when I listen to this song 🎵 😭 I realize that I had a wonderful childhood. Hanson was one of my favorite bands.
I thought one was a girl,,I can’t believe I’m telling you that,, I got some stick I’ll tell ya that. Great time tho,,,,back then no one never seemed be down for long. That’s why I am here actually just listening to nineties radio and this song came on so just wanted to listen to it again. But yes I couldn’t agree more lad I’m 43 later this year. I don’t feel old and I never will think I am. Anyway all the best in this ever changing world man. Peace out. Oh and I was gonna watch this tonight so thought I’d mention it as it was such a great film Suburban Commando with Hulk hogan in as a dude from out of space and the undertaker in it too. Just don’t ask him to rescue a cat tho,,,lol. Go check it out if ya miss the good old days. I have a tone of the old classics,,as things just ain’t the same,,,damn now I sound old. Haha.

I'm 35 years old and have a masters degree in music performance. That said, Hanson was responsible for some of the most beautiful, catchy music of the twenty-first century. My hat comes off for these talented boys. The chord progressions, lyrical content, and charm is the stuff of legends. This is about as good as pop music can get. Love.

This song is now going to have a special place in my heart! grew up listening to this album on repeat because my sister was a huge fan! This song in particular was played non stop and I slowly grew to like some of their songs. This one was, in my opinion, their best release! Then I got a call 2 weeks ago saying that my younger sister had died from a heart attack ... at 36! Hours later, when my thoughts came back to me, this song was the first thing that I thought of! Every time I hear it, memories of our teenage years come to me and it's still bitter-sweet! I will come to you my sister, but until then, I'll always cherish the memories I have!

They were our neighbors in Tulsa. I used to drive my pre-teen girls by their house so they could get a glimpse of them playing basketball in their yard. My friend called me to say the boys were scheduled for paintball and invited my girls to play! It was one of the most beautiful memories I have of being a mom! The girls were so excited and happy and talked about it for years…

They are my fave band during my childhood and never realize that this song is about God. I love them because of their talents and good looks and very catchy pop songs but never crossed my mind the deepness of the meaning of their songs. “When you have no light to guide you, and no one to walk beside you, I will come to you, when the night is dark and stormy, you won’t have to reach out for me, I will come to you” and if you observe the music video.. will give you goosebumps. It seems unclear to me that it's about Jesus, as it is written in the first person. Also, when the singer says "even if we can't be together, we'll be friends now and forever", I would say it's not about Jesus.
I don't know what they were thinking when they wrote it. All three of them are Christians, but Hanson isn't a "Christian band". Of course it has to influence them. I'm a Christian and I never thought about it until about a month ago, that I could interpret it as a "Christian song". Especially the part about not being together. Because Jesus left physically but promised to sent His Spirit(The Holy Spirit). It says that "He will come to comfort you". I don't know if Hanson originally meant it that way, but that the things about music, it can often mean different things to different people.
I am so happy that I lived through a time of quality music. This is my childhood right here. This was the very first album I've ever owned...and every song is a good song.
