      Perfect for clubbing ! Will always be crowd pleasing. I used Le male for my go to club scent at the jersey shore all the time but this made its way in a few times lol

  • @aquamanvonfloozerhoffen5067

    I bought Perry Ellis Red 360 because everyone was saying it is a pretty perfect clone of ADG. It is not! It is like Lemon Pledge, lacking the smooth, crisp, natural, effortless smell of ADG. Personally I would go for an ADG flanker to boost performance; four hours isn't good enough for a fragrance at this price point.

    • @ScentsOfSouthJersey
      @ScentsOfSouthJersey  Před 3 lety

      Yeah I really only enjoy 2 Perry Ellis scents and 360 red is not one of them. I don’t mind reapplying it, the flankers are even more money and from what I have tried I didn’t love them enough to buy. Plus the originals are usually always the best. Good to hear your thoughts on 360 red though everyone says it’s dead on but I believe what you are saying about it. Thank you for watching and commenting dude

    This is the fragrance that really got me obsessed and launched me onto the trajectory of my current collection (along with the fragrance review community). Shame it's longevity is completely shit and it loses the fresh punch of the open so quickly. What I would give to have a vintage bottle of this, or even just a bottle of Essenza...

    Awesome video!!! I do have a question though we always hear about cologne companies doing you know reformulation on certain colognes has there been any proof of any colognes that I’ve been reformulated have any companies ever admitted to it?

    • @ScentsOfSouthJersey
      @ScentsOfSouthJersey  Před 3 lety

      Yes as years pass and restrictions on fragrance ingredients increase companies reformulation scents to abide by new regulations also companies get bought out and reformulate scents to use maybe less expensive ingredients to get the same result for the most part. It can be frustrating but I don’t worry about only a few scents I really think having the vintage is worth it most of them whatever is currently available is just fine. Thank you for watching and commenting dude!

    • @oceansoflorewi
      @oceansoflorewi Před 3 lety

      Oh man the proof is highly apparent when you compare vintages to modern day! ADG, Le Male, Cool Water, D&G PH, Terre D'Hermes (They took out the oakmoss), Burberry London (Took out the oakmoss), Pure Havane (More cherry in org), Eros (Original had more candy apple top) Hell even Sauvage EDP was ALREADY reformulated!!! COMPANIES WILL NEVER ADMIT TO THIS! THEY WANT YOU TO BUY THEIR WATERED DOWN CRAP ON THE SHELVES! I made the mistake of going to Macys early in my fragrance journey in 2019- thinking I was smart to avoid potential fakes- and of course- I purchased modern day ADG, Eros and BOTH were watered down at that point! When I found the grail original formulas I had to sell them for dirt cheap just to get rid of the reformulation versions I spend 100+ on what a waste. Learned the hard way. Unless its the launch year- you wont see me step one damn toe into a Macys or retail store to buy fragrances.

    about the oakmoss lol....other people feel free to agree or disagree but wayyyy back when i was a young teen buying ADG, it did actually use to have a denser base with the moss. it never felt 80s style, nor did the moss really seem similar, but adg did sort of feel alot more like a transitional fragrance between 80s and 2000s in retrospect with a fuzzy base

    To be honest , not the most unique scent but it really spawned a whole different freshies back then in 1996. A legend , but unfortunately the current formulation it’s really lacking in performance and synthetic notes up the wazoo haha , the drydown on my skin from the 2020 get a little feel of a dried banana 😂 with citrus 🍊. Directly from the local retail tester haha , but I do remember back in 2003 (my first approach) was powerful! Good review bro ! Might be grabbing a vintage, who knows .

    Thought I would share a modern powerhouse with you. Equipage Geranium. Hermes is usually a disappointment to me in performance but great in scent. Equipage Geranium is aromatic, well blended from the start with bright and green citruses and then soapy geranium and spices and then oakmoss. It lasts and pushes out very well. A little pricier than some of your offerings but very masculine in an era of unisex scents.

Smelled exactly the same, lasted until the next day, and projected enough that our son in the back of the house asked who just sprayed on cologne. These reformulated myths come from people who either hate Armani as a brand in general, or from people who have received a bottle that was subjected to extreme heat or cold like in a fragrancenet or fragranceX warehouse for example. Or simply the person has horrific hygiene, or is just flat out anosmic to the scent in general. @@ScentsOfSouthJersey It's the closest to the original out of all of the flankers. It's a denser version of the OG with much better performance. If you like the OG you will love Essenza. Perry Ellis 360 Red is also very similar to it.

    Aroma di Jean by Milton Lloyd is a clone of Acqua Di Gio. Might be a good video if you ever get your nose on it.

    Not a fan to powdery or floral! The black one smells like they dumped a pepper jar in it! Just not a fan of the house.🤭

    You are NOT reviewing the original formulation! You HAVE to get the COSMAIR! (Sparkly font, cosmair sticker, yellow juice, slightly less frosted bottle). The original vintage is still unique despite many flankers that smell like the dna. The 90s/early 00's Cosmairs have a mystical sweet powdery floral oakmossy base that none of the others have captured. Find a vintage cosmair for your collection- its well worth it! Its a shame the cosmair vintages are so underrated now. Even if its Cosmair it seems people write this off like its obsolete now. And its not! The modern day is absolute water! Trash!
