Obi Kenobi respecting that bro code..
Hey, Star Wars Theory, I know that a lot of people may not be all that concerned with the way things have been going, but could you maybe make a video about your thoughts on Maul being alive in Solo? Thanks, and looking forward to Episode II!
And yeah, O-B-1 was a bro.
Star Wars Theory SWT liking my comment and reposting about it Im honored! 😍
I think that Obi-Wan was ultimately trying to protect Anakin by remaining silent about Anakin's relationship with Padmé, due to his brotherly love for him. ("I loved you, Anakin! You were my brother!")
Time to make a video about Disney’s Star Wars Edge.
Anakin and padme: get married against the rules.
Obi-Wan: “I’m gonna pretend I didn’t see that.”
I'm... going to allow that
Obi-Wan: I hate it when he does that
Even Palpatine knew about that, granted he was the Supreme Chancellor at the time and was from Naboo, but still.
@@EchthelionII I don't know if I'd say _"even"_ Palpatine knew. It's not like everyone on Coruscant knew, Palpatine was just as close to Anakin as Obi-wan was, he was Anakin's father figure. That would have been part of the difference if Qui-gon had trained Anakin rather than Obi-wan, he would have been more like a father rather than an older brother.

The real question is:
Did Obi-Wan know they were actually married or did he think it was just a little relationship?
If I had to guess, he most likely thought that it was some sort of “shore leave” relationship. The Clone Wars started right after Geonosis and they were both generals on top of being Jedi. That eats up a lot of time. At most Anakin could only spend a couple days to a week once every few months.
Obi-Wan probably thought their relationship was either purely sexual, with very little true affection (which is actually allowed by the Jedi), or it was still in the “more than friends” stage that we saw in AotC, and with the war on, they had no real opportunity to truly move past it yet.
In my point of view I always thought he knew they were married.
Theo Heiland in my point of view, I feel like he knew about the relationship but didn’t know if they were married
Ashlynn Smith i mean he knew about the baby so I don’t think he thought it was only sexual... but probably didn’t know that they were married.
CJ 442 Sexual relationships were allowed by the Jedi...?

Of course he knows abiut satine cause obi wan told him😂 so isnt that even more of a reason that anakin speaks with obi wan about his visions?
That's why the Satine story line is so important. It allows Obi-wan to empathize instead of judge as most other Jedi might.
Obi Wan would have stayed loyal to Anakin; if he ever confronted him about it, cause he understood what it meant to be in love with someone romantically. To betray him like that would possibly push Anakin to the Dark Side.
Anakin drubbing his toe would push him to the darkside
Bingo he was trying to be cautious. He's a Jedi not Professor X. He knew Anakin's feelings left him in a vulnerable state of conflict with the strict rules of the Jedi. Anakin's nose was wide open. Obi Wan wasn't as sharp as Brother Jinn or Brother Windu. Mace wouldve expelled him straight up or put his foot up his ass. Obi Wan shouldn't have been his Master because you can't be best friends. That's the conflict right there. He was suppose to be his teacher dammit not his bro homie or best friend. It's like that my son or my daughter is my best friend bullshit. Um no,,,,,it's your mother and your father...you don't hang out and smoke weed and drink beer and have threeaomes together with your parents...well some people do lol. He should've been more like a father to Anakin not no damn bro or a best friend. He was a child in age compared to Obi Wan. Mace would've done a better job because of his mental discipline straddles the fence between the light and dark. There are no grey areas with Mace he would've checked him, rejected him or die trying. Jedi Knights are selfless and sacrifice for the greater good, not endulge and make bad choices..... not for a piece of ass. This is why Yoda was telling them about age makes a difference when it comes to training. Get um young before they get stupid. Some still go bad but only a few do if it's within their nature. Me personally I would've have embarked down that road, I don't have that kind of discipline...nope can't do it....
it's one thing to let him know that he knows and it's another to rat him out
Mr. Man exactly. People try to hold the Jedi order in such high esteem, but they were general practitioners of brainwashing children at a young age to not feel emotion. Sooooo fucking stupid. People wonder why the sith were more powerful than them too 😂 if the sith draw power from negative emotions, it would only make sense for Jedi to draw power from positive emotions right? Not according to the Jedi! Hahahaha that’s why Luke was the best version of a Jedi the galaxy had ever seen. He wasn’t beholden to some dumbass set of rules and was taught to CONTROL his emotions instead of IGNORE them. Anakin would have been a MUCH more powerful Jedi had he been taught this way...if only qui gon didn’t die. They likely wouldn’t have had anything to do with the Jedi order and qui gon would have likely taught him in isolation.
Obi-Wan would've turned him over. Mostly outta spite and him being as big a boy scout as Superman. You think he'd wanna lose his Master seat? Pff
I understand Obi-Wan's predicament - he didn't want to go against the Jedi Order but he also didn't want Anakin to get in trouble. He was afraid he might have to pick a side so he turned a blind eye, which in the end probably wasn't a good call. I think a lot of Anakin's turn to the Dark side had to do with the fact that he bore his burden alone. Not only was he worrying about his wife dying but on top of that he had no-one to turn to and had to hide his feelings of fear as well as his relationship. That is *a lot* for one person to deal with alone.
I think had Obi-Wan properly confronted Anakin about his relationship with Padmé, Anakin might have not turned because while Obi-Wan definitely would have disapproved of their relationship, I seriously doubt he would have ever ratted them out. I think he would have tried to help Anakin or at least provided emotional support. Sidious played heavily on Anakin's isolation and feelings of desperation. At the very least, Obi-Wan would have made manipulating Anakin significantly harder for him. That's my take on it.

On the real I kinda think even Yoda knew as well... because technically he pointed Obi Wan in Padme’s direction when he told him to “search your feelings and find him you will.”
Also remember when Anakin went to Yoda for advice on how to deal with his premonitions of Padme dying? I think Yoda caught a hint of Anakin’s relationship there.

@Solas O'Dimm tbh, beside Qui-Gon Jinn, Mace Windu is the only Jedi Master that able to trained Anakin Skywalker, Mace Windu are unique as he's trained to tapped into the Dark Side of the Force without falling into it and used it to his advantages. if he had trained Anakin, this could have prevented him from falling further to the Dark Side

Obi wan absolutely knew, he raised Anakin as much as anyone could, Masters and Padawans are surrogate family. He did not Push the issue, as Qui-Gon, Himself, and at least 1 Master on the council havr had romantic interests in conflict with the Jedi-Code. As Qui-Gon showed, the Order had it's gaping flaws in logic. love whether, platonic, or romantic, can be a Great source of inner strength.
Obi wan's loyalty was definitely anakin, i don't think he would have ever told the council, he basically knew of it anyway but never confronted him about it. As obi says at the end of the ROTS he loves him

Before watching this video I was automatically thinking “Duchess Satine” being the reason lol.
I love how Episode 2 of the new Clone Wars Season 7 very strongly suggests (to the point of basically confirming) that Obi-Wan knew about Anakin and Padme's relationship. Such a cool little worldbuilding detail in an otherwise rather disconnected Star Wars arc.
I almost feel like if the two were honest about it before Satine's death, Obi wan might have started his own thing with her back up. I can only imagine how much stronger the brotherhood between the two would have been if they both had secret wives only they knew about.

Should of known, should I have.
um you said 'i should have should have known'. It shud be just "have known, i should."
"I hope you at least told Padmé I said hello..."
The ROTS novelization said it the best:
"Anakin has loved you since the day you met, in that horrible
junk shop on Tatooine. He's never even tried to hide it, though we
do not speak of it. We... pretend that I don't know. And I was happy to, because it made him happy. You made him happy when
nothing else ever truly could." He sighed, his brows drawing together. "And you, Padme, skilled as you are on the Senate floor, cannot hide the light that comes to your eyes when anyone so much as mentions his name."
Obi Wan knew but chose to pretend he was oblivious for Anakin's sake, because Padme made Anakin truly happy.
I love this channel. I just hope his theories, like this aren't seen as canon by the fans, as I've seen before.
Well, season 7 of the clone wars pretty much confirms that Obi-Wan knew all along, as did Captain Rex
I think Obi-wan could have offered a compromise, that he hoild off on his relationship with Padme until the end of the war where he could leave the order if he wished and be with her.
Who’s here after Star Wars the clone wars season 7 episode 2

Man there is something so satisfying to hear "Invoke the wrath of Anakin"
Because i have the high ground!
Here is the thing. I feel like Anakin should have left the order. He needed the training and he got it. He could have left the order and still stayed friends.
If Anakin told the council about his relationship with Padme:
Yoda: something to tell us you do?
Anakin: I have a relationship ship with the Naboo senator, Padme Amidala.
Yoda: Common knowledge that is.
Yoda had to much Pride and should have brought Obi-Wan to help him with the Emperor .
Obi-Wan had to deal with Darth Vader. Yoda did what he had to do.
Obi-Wan ignored Anakin and Padmé’s marriage because he was secretly hoping that Anakin would let him smash in honor of the Jedi Bro Code. 💯
Is this a sexual reference?
That really was an incredible scene from season 6 of the clone wars and "Anakin is the father, isn't he?" is such a heartbreaking line.
Why is it heartbreaking?Because he was going to kill him and the baby was going to be orphan from father?
That quote is from Episode III Revenge of the Sith not Clone Wars season 6...
Tragic because if it all ended with him killing Anakin, he was at some point and time gonna tell Luke and Leia about how their father died, that is if things turned out differently, which it unfortunately turned out far worse than that
Darth Kenobi was the apprentice of darth jar jar. When they failed to overthrow Darth Sideous, he flipped back to good and was like... guess I'll move to Tatooine so I can listen to my favorite band every weekend at the Cantina.
I feel that Anakin's fall to the dark side was due to his visions of Padme's death. Then Palpatine planted a seed in Anakin's head (metaphorically speaking) that only Sith Lord could heal. Palpatine was manipulative and he manipulated Anakin to this thought. I believe Palpatine gave him those dreams.
I always wondered about this!!! Thanks for the reveal with even more questions than I started!! Qui Gon has a relationship?? Did not know that!! Wow! I’ve got some possible future clone wars ‘what if’ requests if you’re willing to take them into consideration
-First (and most obvious) what if Fives revealed order 66 to Rex and Anakin successfully
-What if Krell escaped Umbara
-What if Padme refused the Grievous-Anakin prisoner exchange in that one episode where Captain Tarpals dies
-(Don’t know if it’s been done) what if Ashoka never left the Jedi
-What if Pre Viszla and Maul never turned on each other
Also the what if’s have always been my favourite part of this channel and keep up the great work.
Tecnically,in a removed scene Obi-Wan says to Padmè that he always knew, but he says that Anakin have never been so happy, and Obi-Wan was happy at the first place to see his best friend so happy, then the bro code is real,AND THEN,don'tcha think that when teen Kenobi went to Mandalore for protecting Satine, and visibly fell in love, don't you think that Qui-Gon noticed? If Qui-Gon(his master) didn't care so much about the Jedi code, and Obi-Wan always wanted to listen to the council, that means he's in a half-way

Great pionts!
But why is Obiwan in Annakin's dream of Padme in labor, telling her "save your strength?"
Sandra Grace could be three reasons.
One, if it were a real premonition, Obi-Wan was at her side when she died. So that was accurate.
Two, if Palpatine were manipulating Anakin’s visions he may have added Obi-Wan to the vision to make Anakin insecure (about Obi-Wan finding out about their marriage, etc)
Three, Obi-Wan may not have been a true premonition in Anakin’s vision, it may have been a manifestation of Anakin’s insecurity of Obi-wan discovering his marriage etc.

It's really interesting how you link attachment to Obi-Wan because I never grasped that but it makes perfect sense when followed with the eventual line 'you were my brother Anakin. I loved you'. This reinforces his attachment IMO.
