I've been married for 15yrs and I thought I was one. I said it in front of my wife, kids, and some friends I had over and they laughed hysterically at me. Apparently (according to them) I'm far from "basic".

I miss my dad. He had shirts (long and short sleeve) like the blue one. I think they're golf shirts. And when my dad fell asleep, he called it a sinking spell. He taught me how to mow a yard and lots more.

My husband is definitely the mower guy 😂 every spring I think he gets a little broken hearted that the cheapie mower we have still works great and he doesn’t get to go shop for a new one.
As a joke for my husbands bday this year, since im pregnant with #1, i got him a pair of white reebok sneakers like his dad always wears. Well he thought it was pretty funny but he ended up switching to them immediately. Haha 😆 no more cool sneaks, dad shoes all the way!

When I mart my husband In his 20s, he said lawns were stupid and stuck goats in them to keep down the grass. Now in his mid 30s, he is about to upgrade to his dream zero turn driving lawn mower and our yard gets bigger every year.

Stage 4 is literally my alcoholic uncle when I was a kid. Not much changed except he quit drinking and is less of a jerk since becoming Basic Granddad.

I realized I have full arrived into adulthood when I get excited about new lawn equipment, especially when it is electric. I want to mow the lawn now, instead of dreading "breaking my back" trying to start a old push mower. I am just basic adult now, sans kids.

I'm a gen x only child and i live next door to my boomer parents in a rural setting. I bought a riding mower last year so my dad could take a break, Wrong! He mows his yard, my yard, and if the neighbors would let him, their yard. He told us to bury him on his mower. I now have a twice used riding mower for sale.

I am 35 and I have achieved some of these.
I give it a good 5 years and I will make it to the New Balance.
