Use Photoshop Elements to Clone objects and/or people out of your photos. This video shows you exactly how to use the Clone Stamp Tool in Photoshop Elements and which settings to use and why.
Not everyone is able to explain photoshop so clearly, and usefully. I just came across this video - I had thought that I knew how to use the clone tool, but I was completely unaware of the nuances (align setting) you explain...and was sometimes frustrated because of this. thank you so much Rick.
Thank you so much for this video. I have been so so frustrated over how to use the clone tool. Other sites would just say to hold down the ALT key but did not explain alignment. You are my hero !!
I'm slowly going through all of your videos. I've used PSE for years, but you're teaching me little tips I never knew and making me branch out and try new techniques. Thanks so much!
Rick, I appreciate you taking the time to show both how to get the best results and also what some of the pitfalls are too! I have done everything wrong that you mentioned, it is a great help to understand the logic behind how to fix these things. I love that clone stamp tool but was not very proficient at it till tonight! Thanks again! Rich
Thanks Rick! Even when I think I have mastered a skill in Photoshop Elements, I still learn something new from your videos! They are so clearly explained and just the right amount of detail. Greatly appreciated!
Hi Rick, Many thanks for sharing the How to use the Clone Stamp tool in Photoshop Elements. Having used the Clone Stamp many times I could never understand why the Tool didn't default to a soft edge brush as it easier to blend the surrounding area. Now having seen how the Hard Edged brush CAN and should be used on areas such as grass with better results I thank you.
Hi David - You're welcome. I'm very happy to hear that you found the video helpful. I really struggled putting this together. I wanted to cover as much about the Clone Stamp tool as I could and still make it easy to understand, without making the video too long. Thanks for the feedback! - Rick
Hi Rick, Thank you very much for the lovely tutorial which has been extremely helpful. I wanted to ask another question on cloning.... can I clone on to another photo other than the original where the clone was taken from. Thanks Anjee
hi rick -you are a good speaker and you are vary good explaining what you are doing - i have a question for you = on left side where the tools are there is some 22 different tools in 4 or 5 boxes - and the boxes all have a name on top of the tools - when i first downloaded elements i had them too but a day or 2 i lode the name of the boxes -- is this normal or can i get them back and if so how??? thank you
