I'm new to Photoshop Elements and stumbled across this old video. Thankfully, the technique is still relevant and I was able to easily do this. I've been struggling with centering and this is a great help! I'm subscribing to this channel because not only are the instructions easy to follow, I totally appreciate the detailed additional information given as to why we're doing this and that... So many videos are just mechanical steps to follow. With this, I really understood what I was doing. Great job and THANK YOU!

So Rick, if we want to take a very large ad image we've created (say 4.5 feet x 4.5 feet) and print just one portion of the ad image at 100% on an 8.5 inch x 11 inch sheet of paper to see how large the final ad print will be from a distance, how do we accomplish this? (just want to print one portion of the large ad at 100% on a small sheet of paper and look at it from a distance of 20 to 30 feet to see if the ad size needs to be adjusted) Thank you!

Hello Rick. Here from Holland a grandma learning a lot of your lessons. Awesome lessons I already learned from you. Helped me a lot. But now I have a problem, which I can't find a solution. I work with Photoshop Elements 2020. I can't get a rectangle with sharp corners with the rectangle marquee tool. They're always round and sometimes I get an oval. I have already clicked on "Reset Preference", but even the letters in that box remain grey. Can you please help me? Thank you in advance

Thank you for this Rick. I have a problem with my Elements 2022 in that the foreground square is half white (top part) and half is black (bottom half). I cannot find any instructions on how to fill this square with only black. This is now the default and cannot change the foreground to be all black. I would appreciate any help you can give. How do you make text on the lower half of the circle to not be upside down, or to curve upward?

I appreciate all your videos as I transition from Photoshop to Photoshop Elements. Do you have a video explaining how to put a large (20 px +) stroke on a square or rectangle without winding up with rounded corners on the stroke?

Exactly what I needed and more. I'm surprised there is no option for the lines to be dotted or dashed. That would have solved the contrast problem with the circle on the b & w photo. But your solution is genius. It never occurred to me to do it that way. Just randomly found you today but your clear teaching style and your video effects on screen absolutely help. I appreciate the time you put into making your content top notch. You just earned another follow.

Hi Rick, I know you produced this video quite a few years go, but I just watched it recently to brush up on putting a circle around part of an image. It's a great video and you are a great presenter.
