Kayaking down the best river in the UK!

- Of all the great places to kayak in the UK, I think North Wales might be my favourite. Home to several classic sections, many gnarly waterfalls that where descended back in the day by some old school savages. There are maybe a few waterfalls here that I would want to go for but I always end up lapping the beautiful classic sections here rather than hucking ditches. One day I hope to spend enough time here to feel satisfied with the amount of laps I have on the Fairy Glen to go exploring. In the meantime, we tried to show David as many of the classics we could.
To get the chance to show him down the Mawdach was incredible, this is arguably our best joy lap river. It's not that hard but it's fall of nice moves, home to a couple of waterfalls and just plain fun to kayak down!
Sadly this is probably one of the last edits from this trip as the water levels dry up and David has to leave for work. Huge thanks to everyone that looked after us and took us kayaking, I think David is impressed with the UK kayaking scene!

Hey Bren! Gotta say the audio / intros / cuts / music work and most importantly storyline are nearly perfect. It is enormous amounts of work trying to master each one of these areas and I just wanted to acknowledge how “clean” this short film truly is and behind it is a mountain of work few will appreciate. I love how you focused on David and his personality… we were on the Futa with him and Aniol and he really is a spectacular human to hang out with!!
Lastly, what Microphone do you use to record voiceovers? Do you record and edit within your video eating program or outside and pull in?

i always wonder with kayaking down rivers what do u do once u get to the end or where ever u stop as then dont u have to carry your kayak all the way back to the start where your car is
Sometimes we leave a friends car a the bottom, sometimes I jog back up or in some places get on the local bus and sometimes someone drives our car for us

@Senders no not yet but it runs through my home town Bethesda. I live in Ireland now but I go back to visit and really want to get a run on it at a nice medium to high level. Do you know of any local people in the area that run it?

Great pictures, clearly taken by someone who knows how to get good whitewater action shots!
However, I think they look even better with your face showing (now there seemed to be an arm or paddle in front, or you just happened to bow your head down).
Having kayaked with a bunch of Czech paddlers, it's funny to see that David isn't the one driving a Czech built Skoda Octavia stationwagon, but the British kayaker in front of him is (I also drive one)!
Hahaha, David was a big fan of Joe's Skoda Octavia!
