Grown up on the banks of the White Nile, Sadat Kawawa quickly fell in love with Kayaking - a sport rarely pursued by his fellow compatriots. Swapping various services in exchange for Kayaking lessons from tourists, Sadat quickly realises his potential on the water. Going from strength to strength, it isn’t long before Sadat qualifies to test himself against world’s best when they come to compete in his home country of Uganda.

Red Bull -- sick movie but bummed you didn't touch on the threats to all of the whitewater shown in this video. All of these rapids and waves shown will be underwater very soon as the dam downstream is completed.
That is only partly true. The dead Dutchman is still looking just as scary. I just rafted by it in February.

I went white water rafting on the Nile. It's intense, but so much fun! The Dead Dutchman was the first rapid we went down. And I stayed at the same hotel they showed in the beginning!

Fantastic! Sadat you are awesome! . But what I don't understand is why are they using playboats in the race runs? The bigger boats (river runners) surly are faster and would punch the holes and waves easier.
Because it's a mixed style race. Freestyling also gives points.
ugljen 4 races, 2 freestyle and 2 downriver races. Freestyle and downriver were two separate events

He shouldn't have tried to ferry onto the wave, but did what Dane's dad (Eric Jackson) says to do: pull yourself onto the wave with a draw stroke. It works.
