- My 1st lure fishing session in ages, I head out to the iconic London docklands to see if I can catch some perch. Jigging for perch in the London docks is a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Gday mate . Here in Australia we actually measure the perch or Aussie bass we catch . We don't weigh them usually . ✔👍🎣

Im thinking about lure fishing docklands canary wharf area. Do you need one of those permits? I had a look and they were about 230 quid. Does anyone stop you?

Fair play for getting out there mate, I blanked 3 out of 4 times on the Lea and the Docks on lures! Those days rarely make the videos though. Keep trying mate, Bow was always a reasonable prospect for small perch 😃🤞

Anyone know if there is a close season on the docks? A bit bored of the canals and looking to try something different before the river season starts off.

I am surprised you never encountered any "karens" cos the last time i fished limehouse cut an anti threatened to call police on
me i said go ahead i was fully licensed and had a booklet from EA listing free fishing in the East End of london

If I visit London from the US in the near future, I'm fishing River Thames. Got something that'll nail the perch
Nice one! If you fish the thames for perch you'll have much better luck towards the west side of the city 👍 good bass to be had in the tidal thames though 🙂
@@TheBudgetAngler If I fish the Thames within the city like near Tower Bridge, what will I catch? From some I heard coarse fish and from others I heard eels and flatties.
I've only ever heard of people trying for sea fish in really, thebodd person tells me you can catch Dace on coarse methods. This summer saw a lot of bass coming out. You get eels and flatties, and probably whiting too on sea fishing baits 👍 let me know how you get on!

Thanks Pete, just a rod licence, there used to be a club, but it folded. The security guards will let you know of it's not a place for fishing! 😅
