LOL! Thanks Bro! I flipped it at 85 right before this run and the motor shifted. Big dummy me didn't realize it and the shaft was rubbing the tube and melted the plastic stuffing tube holder a little. That's what the smoke was from. On a positive note I should clock a little more mph next time without that drag. 😎👊

Hi Mr Mad ! Awesome pass !!!...did you upgrade the flex shaft ? I understand it comes with a 4 mm flex shaft..does it handle that kind of power without braking ?
Thanks. I use the upgraded veles shaft OSE sells. It's.3/16 shaft.

Just got a hull only from a friend. I made a new top cover, quite a bit lighter than the original. I removed the battery boxes to get the battery weight lower in the water ( veles have a habit of flipping when racing) . I have a racing , extra thin ruddr with dual picks up , someplace around here . may use regular mounts and not have the motor on top of that rail making it lower in the boat. I havent decided yet. a work in progress.

I saw the smoke coming out when removing the cover,I bet your running 5-6s and different motor and esc.I question why your are not using dual rudder pickup cooling.
The flexcable was rubbing the stuffing tube and got the stuffing tube plastic holder hot and melted a little. The motor wasn't very hot. I flipped it the rrun before around 85 and the motor shifted causing mis alignment between the tube and shaft.
