    The glacier burst in Uttarakhand has brought back murmurs that the tragedy could possibly be linked to a nuclear device a joint Indian IB-CIA operation left behind and lost close to Nanda Devi peak. In episode 683 of #CutTheClutter, Shekhar Gupta talks about this fascinating story of espionage, subterfuge, and mystery in the Cold War.

    • @user-bm9fo5kr1l
      @user-bm9fo5kr1l Před 3 lety +25

      The only clutter in the "toolkit saga" is that Indians have no idea how large scale protests work or are organized.
      I was actually surprised to learn how it was such a big deal that Greta Thunberg shared a toolkit.
      Lemme state it again, a toolkit is MEANT TO BE SHARED.
      That's exactly how many of the protests are coordinated, planned or organized. At the time George Floyd murder & other blm protests, numerous toolkits were shared with details ranging from contact details of the local representative, Congress people, DA, Mayor, etc. to hashtags, talking points, email, tweet formats for social media.
      Not to mention, protection gear, DOs & DON'Ts & a lot more stuff for the protests.
      You can probably still find most of them online easily.
      It's no big deal.
      Idk why Indians have made it such a big deal or breaking news issue.
      If anyone even dared to talk about arresting someone for a toolkit, the judge, the defense & everyone else would shred that person for tramping or daring to tramp on someone's 1A rights.

    I am happy that in ctc episode both wings of our country are giving there points in comments, which is a good rather than just being abusive and it can only be sloved by seeing aspects of both the side 🙂.

    A very insightful story on the nuclear powered monitoring device left at nanda devi biosphere reserve... But a bit more on declaration of reason biosphere reserve and its fallout on local people, who were not able to take cattle there as they used to do for centuries

    My friends and I have trekked quite a bit in and around that area ...Bagini Roopkhand, Pangarchula. Have noticed big slice of some of the mountains missing ... presumably they have slid under the force of the glaciers...that must have happened some time in the past. There is denudation along some of big rivers and the mountain slopes have crumbled.
    At the foothill of some of the mountains like Pangarchula ...the approach in Oct is built on huge rocks (3 ft by 4ft) piled up like a lego.
    Unlikely such disasters are triggered by some device !!!
