  • In this video I’m going to show you how to remove the upper and lower ball joints . I also give you the socket sizes and show you my supersecret tips on getting things to come apart without destroying them. There are several videos that show you how to remove these ball joints. Except mine shows you a way to remove them without costing yourself more money $ by destroying other things while doing this job. hopefully find a video to be helpful and informative send me your nice comments and give me 👍 ,also I have the “C” roll at the bottom of my videos so that’s fun. If you need to remove your lower control arm . there is also a video of that up on my CZcams page.

    • @sharpcarco
      @sharpcarco  Před 3 lety

      Depends on If they’re no good I don’t replace parts unless it’s necessary I’m very cheap like that

    dont be fooled by your local part store, there is a difference,most of them are marked-l -left-r-right.

  • @JacksonGuitarsPlayer03

    Are the ball joints and front drive shaft greaseable? I appreciate it if someone lets me know... also I’d like to know all the grease points. 03 ram 1500. Be cool if someone know. 👍🏼

    • @noidontthinksolol
      @noidontthinksolol Před 7 měsíci

      yes, ball joints are greasable. the drive shaft is greasable too but you have to undo the rubber which nobody does. you should only regrease it when you had a torn rubber

    ive been beating on my upper for the better part of a day and still dont have the stupid thing out.... you give it two whacks and it pops out like butter.

    • @sharpcarco
      @sharpcarco  Před 3 lety

      It’s not that you’re hitting it it’s the way that you’re hitting it…… Trust me when you get it every time they will pop right out and you can’t hit it like a little girl

    • @3dp_edc
      @3dp_edc Před 3 lety

      @@sharpcarco tie rod popped right on on the first swing idk this thing is stuck good. the aluminum is dented in pretty damn far already from whacking it so hard. dont think hitting harder is the key. im about to go buy a separator see if that works. the upper is recently replaced (april 2021) so trying not to damage it in the process either, or id just use a pickle fork on it

    • @sharpcarco
      @sharpcarco  Před 3 lety

      Yeah maybe so I’ve just never not been able to get them to come off the way I show you in the video but I guess it’s possible

      I’m sorry you had to do that but I’m glad it worked out for you brother
      The only reason I show that technique is so that if you’re not replacing the component you don’t destroy it if you replacing it it doesn’t matter if you destroy it but may be some people are doing other things and I’ve never seen it not work like I said before but it is certainly possible
