Anthem of Algeria - "Qassaman"

The text is written by Mufdi Zakaria, the music is by Egyptian composer Mohammed Fawzi. The text of the anthem was written in 1956 by the “poet of the Algerian revolution” Moufdi Zakaria while he was in Serkadji Berbarousse prison. Seven years after Algeria gained independence, Kassaman became the national anthem.
