true but real life tigers were tougher than in game, plus you forgot that the one in the movie has extra tracks to protect its glacias.
The 76mm can pen frontal lower glacis. IRL but slight angles and nope
Wieldy Relic the tigers in warthunder are tougher than you give them credit for, the problem is no one angles their armor when fighting and just leave their frontal armor nice and flat which is easy to pen.
I angle my Armour and still get pend by shots that clearly shots bounce off it. The Tiger is all sorts of messed up in WT

Raenar Braun In arcade maybe, but now the Americans and Soviets dominate the realistic battles, usually the longest it takes to win a match that I play is around 9min

and the tiger should have stayed there and snipe the american tanks
Now a real life scenario: tiger is hidden on a hill, shoots, 1 Sherman blows up, shermans shoot but don't know exactly where he's at, tiger shoots again, 2nd Sherman blows up, tiger turns and angles armor, m4a3e8 moves up, comes dangerously close to the tiger, tiger does not stand still as it does in the movie, but turns the entire tank to increase turret traverse speed and angle it's armor, Sherman shoots the angled side of the tiger and bounces, tiger shoots the Sherman's side and it explodes. End of the story
Wrong. 76 armed shermans can penetrate a tiger through the front at normal combat ranges. also the tiger advanced on the shermans because they couldn't see through the smoke.

There where 4 to begin with it sniped one of them, so they fired smoke shells in its general direction forcing it out

Plus,76mm HVSS has only like 500m of effective range against Tiger 1 frontal armour.
And that log hit is the most bs i ever see. No way a log can stop an 8,8 shells to the side that only have 30mm.

They penetrated with M79 shot 109mm at 500 yards at a 30° angle. Mind you that tigers armor was near flat.
Also, some shermans with the 76 carried HVAP rounds. HVAP M-93 shot can penetrate 135mm of armor at the same 30° angle, from 1,000 yards.
The same HVAP ammunition penetrates 116mm of armor at 1,500 yards from the same angle.

the ww2 love and parody maker I have, and thoroughly studied it. It certainly requires reworking for the PaK 40 scene as well as the ambush for the Tiger scene, but it's not biased in most regards.

M4A1 Where the front and side armor on the tank on this scene meet, it is rounded, meaning that is an M4A1 hull. The Jumbo was not based on an M4A1 hull. Also, the Jumbo wasn’t given its nickname because of the gun, it’s because of the fact that it had heavier armor. And variants of the Jumbo with both the 76mm long and 75mm short barreled cannons existed
This is how it would have played out (with the full scene from the movie)
5 shermans (a tank platoon), including Fury, are moving along a road, accompanied by some infantry.
The Tiger is hidden in some bushes and is well camouflaged. They shoot Fury and destroy it first, for two reasons:
1. In the scene it was the leading tank, and destroying the leading tank confuses the column and prevents it from advancing
2. Fury is a Sherman tank, upgraded with a more powerful 76mm AT Cannon, instead of the regular 75mm one. This is because, in 1945, the Sherman tank was outdated, having been introduced in 1942. Also, the Sherman was designed as an infantry support tank, according to American doctrine.
AFTER the leading tank is destroyed, the trailing tank is shot and destroyed as well, in order to prevent the column from retreating. The Shermans haven't figures out where they are being shot from, as the Tiger is still in the bush, a highily advantageous position. The Tiger then picks off the three remaining Shermans with its the 8.8cm cannon, before gunning down the retreating infantry. The Tiger starts retreating, however its transmission breaks down, as the Tiger I and Tiger II both were less reliable than a can of tuna. At that point, it's spotted vy an allied recon plane and destroyed by a P-47 thunderbolt

Fun fact: the tiger had 82mm of armor on its sides and rear, the rear armor is technically more effective than the side armor, due to its angle, plus it's impossible for a Sherman to shoot through the engine block.
That's not really fun but okay.

But tigers engines were very prone to catching fire when hit.

Technically this movie is inaccurate. Nonpenetrations, inaccurate and dumb enemies etc. But historically it's one of the most accurate. It's tough to find a movie about western front which shows everything from Hitlerjugent with panzerfaust knocking out Shermans and fanatic SS to American soldiers looting and desperation among american tankers because of superiority of german tanks in terms of armor and guns, from local ambushes to hardcore last stands, committed by few in everyday war rutine. I totally loved it

Tiger 313? Fixed for the movie? Tiger 131 you mean, was the only working Tiger in the world... it has always been in working condition after it was captured in WW2. This Tiger in Fury was Tiger 131 and it's home is now in the Bovington Museum in England.

the Sherman 76 without the muzzle break isn't a Jumbo. its just an early M4A1 Hull.
Jumbo actually could penetrate tiger 1 from front but in this movie only this old shermans hited him on the front
