    One of the very nicest boats you've showcased from anyone. Not plastered in sunloungers, designed and built to be sailed. Woodwork any English cabinet maker would kill for, below decks feels like a 21st century pirate ship! Practical, but at the same time, utterly beautiful. Well done Sabre for a masterclass in boatbuilding.

    Never been a big fan of the Down East New England style boat, but this one is a beauty. Thanks for sharing!

    Nicely done! I reviewed the same boat at the Ft Lauderdale Boat Show for my own CZcams channel and was very impressed. Even the smaller Sabre 45, and Back Cove 39O showed the same high quality finish.

    Hi Elliot. Old school classic design meets 21st century tech and power. The carpentry is stunning, a practical boat with good size cabins. Great walkthrough video thanks

    That is a lot of boat for the size. It's amazing how the Volvo IPS propulsion frees up interior space. I would have liked to see access to the engines to understand how much space is available for routine maintenance.

    • @thebritishboatguy3130
      @thebritishboatguy3130 Před 2 lety +3

      Not something I do at a boat show unless the boat is being kept clear. Just takes a child to jump on board and fall down into the engines. There are always young enthusiasts around.

    • @thebritishboatguy3130

      Sorry Duncan forgot to mention, two good size hatches for access port and stbd for daily checks, a huge centre hatch for access inboard and to the tops of the pods.

    How does it compare to the obvious high-end same-sized downeast 'lobster' styled coupé sports cruiser... the Zeelander Z72 ??
    The Sabre "58" has an actual LOA of 66 feet, exactly the same length as the Zeelander Z72 (it's only 72' with the swim platform deployed).

    • @thebritishboatguy3130
      @thebritishboatguy3130 Před 2 lety +2

      Your spot on, similar lobster concept. The Zeelander Has a more contemporary and smaller interior. It has a clever midship side entry garage though. I would suggest the Palm Beach GT60 is a nearer competitor. Or the new GB Eastbay 60 as the one to watch for.

      @@thebritishboatguy3130 aye, the US has a lot of these lobster boats. I really like the "Lobster meets 1950s classic car" variant, the Solaris Power Lobster. All of them are a style of boat I much prefer to standard/popular "slice of wedding cake" sports coupés.

    So when did MB&Y become a part of the marketing department of Sabre Yachts? Just a joke of a review - I remember when boat reviews were independent and serious. This is simply taken from the boat brochure. Sad…..

    • @thebritishboatguy3130
      @thebritishboatguy3130 Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks for commenting, this is the first time I have ever been on a Sabre, and the nearest I have been to one. I don’t think there are many in Europe either. Certainly never seen one in the UK and have never seen the brochure. I did need to read the specs off the chest sheet to br correct however.

    Can't you read, do not open drawers and lockers sign in all accommodation. After acknowledging it in master cabin you continued to take no notice in bathroom. Show some respect please. What is this obsession anyway, once you've seen inside one drawer, you've seen them all.

  • @SalmanTheFoodie

    This boat is probably meant for people in their 60's and 70's old school design .. The yachts of today are so different from these .. The use of wood is way too much .. I still feel that the European yacht and boat manufacturers are offering way better boats in this price range ..

    • @rtbinc2273
      @rtbinc2273 Před 2 lety +3

      Most of the European Boats look like plastic from Ikea to me. The newest Fairlines are beginning to have something interesting in their builds. To each their own.

    • @SalmanTheFoodie
      @SalmanTheFoodie Před 2 lety +1

      @@rtbinc2273 I would agree with you on the quality of the new Fairline boats , but the only brand that stands out in the American yacht builders is Hatteras in terms of quality . As for your comment on the IKEA quality , some of the best builders are from Europe .. but then each to his own ..

      @@SalmanTheFoodie Watching a review of a 2020 Sunseeker 76 on Aquaholic, and it is "contemporary" design. It could be Ikea. That is the problem with "modern" design. A thousand dollar item looks the same as a ten dollar item. That allows a cheap item to look expensive, but it also makes expensive things look cheap. It doesn't look lux - it looks like a run of the mill hotel. There is also nothing that says Sunseeker. It could be anybody.
