Several years ago, the NHL replaced the NFL as my favorite league/sport. Just can’t beat it!
I was a hockey fan growing up, then got into basketball and became huge on the nba. This year I’ve been watching a lot of nhl games and it completely ruined nba games to me. NHL is so fast and tough. While everybody in the NBA is a whiney little bitch. Never going back
Welcome. Of course now the NHL is working overtime to get their officiating to be as bad as the NFL.
@@NmDPlm31 At least its not the AHL....every Amerks home game is just blood boilingly bad calls against us... Some of them are actually fine, but there are comically bad or blatantly missed calls literally every game. Why have 4 officials out there if they're still going to miss every hold, every cross check, etc that the visiting team throws? Some games are so badly officiated that I wonder how the refs leave the arena
I was at that oilers game and at the 300’s there are 2 non emergency exits and I have Sabres season tickets and whenever games end we usually leave early because we take the Buffalo subway system home because we live very close to one of the stations and the arena is very close to one and I found out everything from text messages after the game and we ended up watching the end of the game on the subway with like 40 other people watching on their phones. The guy sitting next to me said do we get 4 points because we won twice.

I can't believe how much better all of the really good teams got. The Pathners, Avs, Golden Knights, Jets, Canes, and the Oilers all got better.
An underrated team that got better was The Leafs. They got a lot of guys who are mid players vut are absolute psychopaths when it comes to assaulting other players.
And then there’s the Canucks… I feel like missing out on toffoli and guentzel is going to bite them in the ass
The Tanev move to goes under the radar somewhat bc it happened early but an already stacked Dallas team got better too.
@@J-jizzy_It would have been nice to get one more player like that but I don't care that they didn't. They've had no shortage of O all year. When Joshua gets back the third line will get going again and that will stabilize the top two lines. They've got plenty of depth and guys like Bains and even Podkolzin have had really good recent runs with the team.
The canucks simply need to stick with their discipline and systems play and they can beat any team in the league. If they don't, then they won't.
In the playoffs all the top teams are virtually the same so it just becomes a mental game.

Canucks ruined Winnipegs night
Not to take anything away from The Nucks... they played their game, and deserved their W. Bones isn't wrong though that is the worst game I have seen the Jets play all year. I hope they all all had a different type of trots or something. It was a back to back but Seattle isn't exactly a long flight from Van. Both teams at 100% come playoffs would be one heck of a series.
@@AndrewAung1992Kraken are not Central Canada, they are in Seattle and the same time zone and pretty much directly south of Vancouver. They don't really have jet lag as an excuse.
@@mikem9536My mistake I thought they were in Winnipeg. Funny how they won 3 to 0 and lost to Van 5 to 0, karma is real. Still though back to back games, while the other team is rested is still an advantage, that is why post season games both teams usually have the same days off during a series.

Can someone explain the controversy with Vegas "cheating" with trades? I don't fully understand how trades work
Basically, there is no salary cap in the playoffs. So, Vegas puts their highest paid guy (mark stone) on LTIR which takes away his part of the salary cap and makes it so they can make bigger moves at the deadline. Mark stone seemingly gets injured at the same time every year (before the deadline so Vegas can make big trades) and then comes back at the same time every year (game 1 of the playoffs). This is completely legal, but the NHL should be doing something about it.

The Lightning are a big disappointment this season. Fortunately, the Red Wings are falling thru the ice. Vasy has not been as sharp and the defense has been terrible. Now with Sergy and Cernak out, they are playing alot of rookies. We got Dumba, which will help. But they have not been scoring as much this year either. They will get a Wild card and lose in the first round. Like Pittsburgh, they are getting old. It may be time to offload Stamkos.
