The vids are very well produced & I think that you have that McQueen, hipster London aesthetic. But the more I watch, the more I get the impression that you are both really authentic, cool "normal" people trying to squeeze some enjoyment from life like everybody else. I hope you both keep going with this, as look like naturals and are very likable which is an x-factor which you probably can't fake.

Another great video. I guess I'm one of your older subscribers at 60, but having sold my sports bike around 18 months ago I miss riding so much. Your videos have confirmed that I need to get back into biking on a more 'sensible' bike, like the Enfield. Thank for making your thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable videos and I hope they continue when you move to Tenerife. I am so so jealous. Take care and have fun you two. 👍

Another entertaining vlog from you guys, I own an interceptor and wholeheartedly agree with your comments, one of my previous bikes was a T100 Black and apart from the name the interceptor has it beat with the price and no compromise with the build quality.
One of the many good things about your vlogs are the little giggles behind the camera from Monika, just this alone makes for a friendly place to be.

I read 'Catch Me If You Can' by Frank Abagnale about 30 years ago. I was fascinated by the idea of getting away with being someone else (just for fun in my case - nothing illegal). I had a few practice runs then made myself a fake press pass which I used to get myself an 'Access All Areas' pass at the 1993 Cannes film festival. I went to some fantastic parties and even had a photoshoot with Joan Collins. I doubt it would be possible nowadays, as security is much tighter.

Nice to hear about your bike history and great format. I've got a 1993 Suzuki RF600 and it is a pretty quick bike. Biggest thing I learned was to not care what other people think about what bike I have. I ride what bikes I want and enjoy them for what they are and on their own merit.

Ok so if this is Q&A I will ask myself a question too. Why do you like Freddie's channel? Hmmm, this is very easy to answer, 1. VERY good quality videos (however the music is sometimes...boring.. not to say annoying), 2. You guys always have the idea what you gonna say in the episode (yup, this is not so obvious stuff accordingly to some other youtubers) 3. An interesting part is the clothes you're wearing and presenting them in most of episodes. In short; keep up the good work guys :)

It’s good to see this type of honesty in a CZcams channel every question was answered with details and excitement to share your thoughts, there’s a lot of moto vloggers that often become a huge advertisement for companies instead of being themselves and speaking with authenticity, I can definitely see your channel growing in the next couple of years because of the overall vibes bro, you would definitely deserve the success I’ve been on the fence of starting a moto channel for the last year and your channel inspires me to actually start creating content, credits to your girlfriend for her cinematography and editing skills! If you guys ever find yourselves in California let’s ride, and catch a sunset 🌅🏍🤙🏼

Thanks for answering the questions Freddie. Very insightful into getting to know you both. Hopefully going to get out and take a look at a Fantic Cabellero this weekend. Also I’m a big Steve McQueen fan too. I have a number of books about his life, films, and of course his cars and bikes. Just going back to your Goodwood video, I saw an E-type today, but I think McQueen’s Jaguar XKSS might just be the most beautiful car ever, or his Porsche 356 Speedster!

Thanks Freddie and Monika - Loved that! It's great to see what makes you guys tick and I appreciated that you answered those questions unrehearsed. Poor Monika on the Mutt!
Thinking about it - perhaps the design of the throttle has been wrong all these years and you should roll it forward to accelerate? ;-)
Relocating to Teneriffe!? Wow, you sprung that on us!
Worst bike I ever owned was a Garrelli Tiger Cross. A 50cc two stroke "scrambler" moped. Being only 14 at the time I used to ride it on waste ground. I got quite good at wheelies on that bike - with the help of a hump. One day, As I lifted the front wheel off the ground the whole lower fork section (complete with front wheel) came off and rolled away. It was painful when I came back to earth!

    • @FreddieDobbs

Great chat Fredster. You have brought back a very old memory talking about one of Monica’s first riding experiences. I was 11 years old and my dad bought me a 50cc Italjet scrambler. A proper little motorbike with three gears and a clutch. First ride I lent back, throttle opened whoosh I was straight off the back . Scared 😱 me big time. I eventually mastered the art of not falling off (to often!) 😂

I totally agree about the Royal Enfields, I am a new rider myself and got a Classic 500 as my first bike, have ridden it 3700km in two months and I love it. I live in Cost Rica where the roads aren’t the best and don’t allow for high speeds anyway, so the ruggedness of the Royal Enfield comes in handy. Greetings, love your videos!

Enjoyed that, some good advice and for giving a mention to the RnineT. I have a similar story to the Monika Mutt incident, I let my mate have a go on my new 1979 Honda CB100N, he had a KH125 on order but had never ridden before. No CBT in those days! He set off and panicked, pulled a massive wheelie and almost slid off the seat. There was no harm done but I was rather ashamed of myself as my instructions were clearly inadequate 🇬🇧🏍

@@FreddieDobbs Will do Freddie. My plan would be to keep both until I can't manage the size and weight of the Deluxe any longer. I was out on it today and it was manageable for a good few hours. Going from the Deluxe to a Speedmaster is like going from a Speedmaster to a bicycle, such is the difference in size and weight between your legs. Both are wonderful motorcycles. If you find a late Twin-cam Deluxe (circa 2017) buy it as HD perfected that model after nearly 20 years of making the Twin-cam engine. In fact, I preferred it to the newer M8 model, having ridden both. Its hard to believe its one finger braking as they used Brembos in the last TC version. The Twin-cam Deluxe really is a stunning motorcycle. 👍

Speedmaster? Of course! Why don't you have one yet?! Hehe. Mine is *still* not with me! Argh! Delayed for some reason!... Suez blockage? Chip shortage? Covid? Who knows. SO frustrating! The wait is torture.
Totally agree re. Royal Enfield, though the 'lesser' models would be fine for new riders. A classic experience is much cooler these days and safer too, for a new rider. I'm tempted to get a classic 500 if I stumble over a cheap one, even though the Speedmaster will be my main ride.
What's this about Tenerife?! Don't go, guys!! Hehe. Sounds like a great adventure! We'll miss your thoroughly English day out vids, though!

A very candid Q&A sharing your life events and future plans. Quite cathartic listening.
Not really into cruisers myself, but I do, like you, have a soft spot for the Speedmaster. It does look good although my only concern with it would be ground clearance. Maybe it is a non issue. I can't imagine riding it through twisties at a great speed and lean angle like a sports bike. I've not ridden one. I rode a Thruxton R a few years ago and quite liked that.
Given your apparent ease in front of a camera, I would have thought you were either a model or an aspiring actor.

Interesting and very honest insights. Very enjoyable and entertaining. In my opinion the enjoyment of biking outweighs the risks of biking compared to driving. However, there are still inherent risks and I am always looking to improve and hone my skills. Have you ever considered doing some advanced training and documenting the process? I know the Metropolitan Police do biker training days and there are longer and great valuecourses with charity driving organisations such as ROSPA and IAM.

Stumbled onto your channel and I love the content! I'm thinking of getting my first bike, the contenders so far are: BMW R Ninet scrambler, Yamaha XSR 700, Husq Svartpilen or a T120. I'm looking for something that I can take on mild trails and adventures throughout the US. The Husqy is considerably cheaper, but I'm willing to spend the difference to get a life long companion. Leaning towards the BMW simply because its more aggressive in its stance and capability. Good logic or am I missing some factors? Anything I should consider that checks the same boxes? Keep up the great work, thanks for sharing!

If you love the modern retro classics, might I suggest you give the Kawasaki W800 a try. I picked one up in April and I really like it. Has the old school looks and feel thanks to the 360 degree firing order it’s very reminiscent of a BSA. But you get modern reliability, a gear driven cam so no chains or belts to replace or adjust, and it just looks and feels the part.
