Wow, thanks for this. I recently brought my Mid-2012 MacBook Pro in to a local Mac tech to replace a faulty keyboard; when I got it back, the keyboard was fine but the right speaker was dead and the keyboard light wasn't working. This video showed me where the connections were and it turns out the right speaker connection wasn't seated properly and the keyboard light wasn't connected at all! I was able to properly get those components re-connected without going beyond removing the bottom cover.

make sure to disconnect the keyboard and mousepad as well, i tried to replace thermal paste without disconnecting them and broke the trackpad wire

Is part # 923-0085 also compatible for macbook pro 15" mid 2012? I found this video and it is very helpful for my diy speaker replacement. Thank you

What type of screwdriver did you use to remove the Wi-Fi card bracket? I removed the big screw to the left but not the small one on the right? It won’t come out 😢

It's Mid-2012 model MD103LL/A. The one right before the retinas. I followed these instructions and got used right and left speakers off eBay ($15 delivered) after blowing out my speakers with Soundflower. Easy to do if you take your time with connectors AND keep all screws in exact order.
