@@ps4nowwoot972 I mean, alternates kill through psychological warfare. It seems pretty inline for the alternates to be at least somewhat smart enough for a mind fuck like that.
The 911 call is *extremely* similar to the 911 call in Assessment Examination. Just in general, it seems like a bootleg of Assessment Examination. Starts with a test of you choosing between two images to decide which one is not a real person. Notes for future horror game developers: - If you put a knocking sound in only one direction, there's a pretty good chance that your players do not have a door on that side of their room. Put it on *both* channels, not just right or left. - Random images and weird text are not scary. - If I'm listening to a 911 call, and the _caller_ is as disaffected as the callers are here, the caller *is* the dangerous entity. - It is not illegal to keep to your home, even if you are witnessing a crime in progress. Obvious lack of research is obvious. - When creating a monster, "looks like humans with a slight disfigurement" is not that scary. Go big or go home.
The issue with the first point is that these games are using knocks recorded with those fancy ear-shaped mics. It's why they sound so realistic when you're wearing headphones. You can't really have those duplicated on both channels or it ruins the effect.

man these analogue horror devs need to start thinking of new formats to use cause i swear mark's played multiple games that are exactly like this before
Agree. I love uncanny Valley stuff. So instead of playing as the human busting alternate, there should be a game about an alternate trying to pass as human with similar gameplay as who's Lila. A game where someone tries to not look suspicious with his facial expression.
This is literally Assessment Examination, a game where Mark has played before but now there are two pictures instead, wow so unique It even has the part where a police officer talks with people who had come in contact with the creatures But at least it kinda expanded more on the cases, stories and the pictures and how scary they are. Some genuinely spooked me That voice acting though...
Analog horror is one of the only type of horror that actually scares the shit out of me. I have to watch it in the day or in a fully lit room cuz I will shit myself.

at this point its not even good. the dialogue was soo clunky, and at some points when they wanted to sound all ~uwu mysterious top secret government business oo all ominous~ it just came out as edgy. looked up some iffy pictures. i dont even think the voice actor did too bad, i think most of the failures here that just set this in with the rest of the boring cheap analogue horror attempts lie with the writer in terms of massive unoriginality with very little done to positively accent it.
13:37 omg, i cracked up so hard with this for those who aren't brazilians: the picture on the left is a shitass statue of michael jackson, and became a meme here called "rusbé" (has the same pronounciation of "who's bad") if i wasn't already taking this game seriously, now for sure i won't lol
I was literally about to comment about that shitass picture of Michael Jackson, thank you for also bringing attention to it so we can all have the fun of knowing the origin of one of these spooky images!
“Their face looks unnatural, they give off a bad smell, they cause feelings of anxiety, they are looking at you closely” For real that’s literally just me
This has happened with countless Internet things before though. Creepypastas, SCP Foundation, Backrooms. Analog Horror is just following that trend. I'm sure I'm missing some things (Siren Head, maybe?)
Analogue horror and backrooms got absolutely ruined by over saturation and the constant need to one up itself and completely lose any feat factor due to forcing it.
Specially considering the amount of times they said it 💀 didn't even finish the video yet and they already said that like 3-4 times, it's just starting to feel like they're trying to convert me into a christian
I honestly think this game has great potential, if they removed some of the unnecessary voiceover, only saving it for the 911 calls (and maybe hire better voice actors? They sound like they have an accent which is fine, but they speak with basically no emotion. I honestly think it might be creepy if the 911 operator had probably the same, low emotion voice actor, but the people calling sounded genuine and horrified. They’d have to re-write the dialogue too, to make it sound more authentic) a few of the ‘long face’ pictures are actually pretty unnerving, and I kinda like how at the beginning they say ‘if nothing seems wrong with this picture, leave,’ because it’s basically later revealed that these ‘creatures’ basically live among us and might not even realize it themselves (or maybe they do) It’s cool, 7/10 needs some improvement Edit: I knew the second I put the words ‘Among us’ in my comment it would be brought up in the replies lol 😂 also I agree with what some people are saying in the replies that the story is very similar to other analog horror games, and the voice acting is just a bit too off. However, I still see some potential in this game, and though they don’t blatantly say why the long-eyes are dangerous, I think the testers keeping it ambiguous adds to the creep factor. If they fledge out this game more, I think that most of the details we as the player learn about the long-eyes should be told through what the callers say during the 911 sequence. Also of course, better voice acting, and imo a more clear way of letting the player know if they made the wrong choice during those picture choosing things. When it felt like the decision between the pictures had zero stakes because both pictures were unsettling and the game gave no indication of a mistake, I started to feel kinda dissatisfied, because I did genuinely get the creeps looking at those pictures lol. So feeling like it was random and the choice didn’t matter made it kinda stale. Anyway, I’m no professional, and I see a whole conversation is goin on in the comments, so y’all can draw your own conclusion. I still maintain my7/10, tho idk if the developer will update the game or not. I tend to forgive the shorter games like this, because they are less trying to tell a huge story, and are usually just trying to give you an uneasy feeling. The game mechanics of simply choosing between pictures makes it clear that this is more of a ‘for the spooks’ kinda experience rather than ‘MATPAT 10 PART LORE SERIES’ kinda thing, and I think those games are always acceptable as long as they accomplish their job. Unfortunately this one just needs more work
I think we've all watched enough analogue horror to be able to say that sometimes you need to lay off on the direct 'warnings' as such mentioned at the start of this game. The goal is to cause discomfort, but crude comments like that are going to cause the player to become immediately grounded. Obviously there are many other problems with the game but just wanted to point this out.
I'm like halfway through the video and I feel like the longeyed are just using this test to find what makes them stand out as different from normal humans

If anyone saw, in the description you can choose between option A and B for the characters they show at the end of each video, however, there's something I only realised after getting it wrong almost every time.
The correct option is the one that you think is NOT the longeyed, I assumed it was you choosing which one IS the longeyed, but if you choose the longeyed then it kills you.
I'm glad i'm not the only one who thinks the voice acting sounds like everyone's on Xanax
It would make sense for it to be a slavic game, with all the ukraine stuff and the accents.
@@DemsW I assure you, Slavic people experience other emotional states than "vaguely bored neutral" too. :p
man these analogue horror devs need to start thinking of new formats to use cause i swear mark's played multiple games that are exactly like this before
This does directly rip off several others down to even the lines, so...
you can tell when it is ripping something off when the grammar stops being bad
Agree. I love uncanny Valley stuff. So instead of playing as the human busting alternate, there should be a game about an alternate trying to pass as human with similar gameplay as who's Lila. A game where someone tries to not look suspicious with his facial expression.
This is literally Assessment Examination, a game where Mark has played before but now there are two pictures instead, wow so unique
It even has the part where a police officer talks with people who had come in contact with the creatures
But at least it kinda expanded more on the cases, stories and the pictures and how scary they are. Some genuinely spooked me

And for the part two, I'm pretty sure the dialogue is from another analog game. Particularly the one about the child. I want to say the Mandela Catalogs?
I feel the exact same. It feels like they just wanna cash in on the whole Mandela catalogue trend, and phoned it in.

Glad I’m not the only one that noticed that..
at this point its not even good. the dialogue was soo clunky, and at some points when they wanted to sound all ~uwu mysterious top secret government business oo all ominous~ it just came out as edgy. looked up some iffy pictures. i dont even think the voice actor did too bad, i think most of the failures here that just set this in with the rest of the boring cheap analogue horror attempts lie with the writer in terms of massive unoriginality with very little done to positively accent it.

I've never went from loving a genre to hating it as fast as I have with Analog horror
It's one of those things where good analog horror is really good, but bad analog horror is really, *really* bad.
Kinda like the Slenderverse tbh

I honestly think this game has great potential, if they removed some of the unnecessary voiceover, only saving it for the 911 calls (and maybe hire better voice actors? They sound like they have an accent which is fine, but they speak with basically no emotion. I honestly think it might be creepy if the 911 operator had probably the same, low emotion voice actor, but the people calling sounded genuine and horrified. They’d have to re-write the dialogue too, to make it sound more authentic) a few of the ‘long face’ pictures are actually pretty unnerving, and I kinda like how at the beginning they say ‘if nothing seems wrong with this picture, leave,’ because it’s basically later revealed that these ‘creatures’ basically live among us and might not even realize it themselves (or maybe they do)
It’s cool, 7/10 needs some improvement
Edit: I knew the second I put the words ‘Among us’ in my comment it would be brought up in the replies lol 😂
also I agree with what some people are saying in the replies that the story is very similar to other analog horror games, and the voice acting is just a bit too off.

I also didn't really like how often the narrator would come back just to say 'they're coming for you!!!' Like damn, leave some ambiguity in, wouldja?
just imagine those cursed images peeking through ur door while sleeping 😭
How is mark so good at acting?!! When he says “what’s that behind you..?” I felt really fucking uneasy. It is awesome!
I think the dev just gave up in the second part. “Aaaah, fuck it! Put every scary picture from 2010-2012 into the game, whatever!”
My favorite part was when he asked "Why the long face?" and everyone cheered
It's longeyin time.
