Blessing 3: Husk Edition plz 🙏
If it's a husk does that mean we'll get just the shell?
Super, I saw your review as well and I really see in the graph here where you were saying that the B3 was a bit lean. Did you ever try EQ on your own, not as part of review but just for personal use, and did that solve your issues with the sound? I am torn between the B2 and the B3.
@@PhoggHawk Yeah, EQ will address that type of critique. Played with it a bit but I'm not much of an EQ user.
@@SuperReview Do you find yourself reaching out for the B3 or do you still lean towards the B2?
@@edforshort I'mma be real, it's all about Supernova now.
Leaving this comment here in case there are others like me who struggle with iem impulse purchases.
DO NOT get this if you have the good iems already. Just Eq. Your set up is likely more than ENOUGH.
If you have the Variations, DON'T get tempted by these. It's just another flavour change in tuning. You do not need more than one blessing line iem and you do not need a blessing line iem if you already have the Variations.
If you are coming frm the budget scene ($10-80) these are likely an upgrade from yr iem set up already so buying these won't be a waste. But if you already own a good iem and you've only been using it for months and there's nothing wrong with them, DON'T get tempted by these unless you've done your research and you are absolutely sure you want the B3 as your LONG TERM upgrade.
Don't let the wasteful consumer in you win. It's a tough battle in the iem world but we can do it. And we can save our money. This message goes out for all iems not just the B3. Be grateful for the iems you already have. Enjoy it. Savour it. Make full use of it. Have a nice day everyone ❤
I bought the truthear hexa, how does the mb3 compare to them?
I love this comment ^-^ It’s so easy to be impulsive, but the majority of the time it’s best to save your money.
great comment, I stopped watching all audio reviews a 2+ish years ago cause I was happy with my iems (around 100 usd), but they cracked
I want to buy this because my Variations broke 4 months ago and i lost the warranty and all, feel like this is a great replacement as its more neutral compared to Variations and closer to Galaxy Buds 2 Pro tuning with a little more "umph~" to it.
Hey there! I am totally new to the IEM scene, I want to get some earbuds for myself for my at home entertainment use/gaming/school work. Would you recommend any thing to me I have no budget, but I just went from some those typical generic name brands samsung/logitech, and I went into this spiral of information about these moondrop series and I somehow ended up here, I did not know earbuds can go up to 400$ so I definitely would love some perspective and opinions on what to get for myself and why these buds cost this much? What was so innovative about the previous series moondrop blessing 2s ??
great review! by the time I watched it, I already listened to them, and they fit my music preference pretty well.
when I heard from other sources the technicality didn't improve much, I was very surprised to hear that the B3 did have technical improvements over the B2 when checking it out myself, though it might just be my lowered expectations...
Thanks for the review, mine are already on the way, should be arriving by end of this week.
I need more of your music, you have such good taste!
I got to try the B2 Dusk and compare it with the OG B2 during Canjam Singapore and found the bass profile of the Dusk, which is quite similar to the B3, not to my liking and I ended up liking the OG B2 more.
I'll definitely still find a way to demo these but knowing what I know now, I'll probably have reservations with how thin the presentation might be. In the meantime, I just got a Performer 5 and have been enjoying it immensely. Great video as always, guys
P.S. Variations owners, why are you even here? LOL go away and enjoy your $520 IEMs that are obviously better than these.
I used the Variation for a few months. Ended up selling them and keeping my OG B2s. I certainly enjoyed the improved subs on the Variations, but the timbre for the highs are just too thin and unrealistic.
The Variations are so lean, considerably leaner than the B2/B3.
Low synths easily got lost in the mix on the Variations for me. It’s part of the reason why I returned them. It was *so* close to being great for my library.
B2 original is the king.
Think I will stick with my KATO for a DD and my Hisenior Mega5p set for my hybrid set. I’ve got to have my mid-bass. Great review.
Thanks for the review! I think I will stick with my Blessing2.
Good choice. Denser tonality and more suited for a wider range of genres
Nicely Done.
After a rather slow start to the year for IEMs, the last few weeks has been a special treat with the arrival of two sanely priced models, namely the Blessing 3 and the SA6 MkII. Here is hoping we see much more of the same for the rest of 2023! 🤞
I think moondrop have purposely tuned these the way they have to keep a bigger difference than these and the Dusks that will inevitably follow. It will make the choice much easier for people who love a warm bassy sound and people who like the opposite.
Well no Dusk yet and Eqing does the trick if need be
I clicked Like as soon as you deadpanned the "SLAM" acronym!
And still no filter on the nozzle. Still fantastic build quality for Moondrop I see.
Helpful review, thanks for sharing.
I'm wondering if it's worth trading in my oldish 7hz Timeless which I love. I find it comfortable and easy listening. However, it looses out to the sennheiser ie600 which handles complex tracks, classical etc far better than the Timeless (which I find pure fun for most tracks and great if I'm trying to do something else like work. The 7hz Timeless doesn't pull my attention so deeply into the music as the ie600.
Any other suggestions to try appreciated. Though at the moment I'm happy with what I have!
Thank you for the vid. I just got them last week. For me who mostly listen to J pop or K pop doesn’t feel much of the issue in the mid and the bass&sub bass is good ( I would say similar but a bit inferior to variation) for me who’s older listener the blessing 3 deliver a solid Great experience.
And I saw the leaked new which I’m hoping that it’s true.
Thanks for the review, especial for mentioning the sound after EQ tweeking, many other reviewers simply ignore 👍
happy I haven't bought them, that lower mid-bass was makig me doubt and you confirmed it... so I'll wait for the B3 Dusk to see what will change, I just heard they were announced in about 3 months, I hope it's real news! and thanks for the reveiw :) BTW, do you think the B2 Dusk have a better bass than the B3?
My biggest concern is the lack of notch on the nozzle, I've had tips be stuck deep in my ear requiring someone to carefully extract them, its never not a scary feeling.
I've dropped the tips countless time when i plug out the iem from my ear
Use tripple flange tips
I just use super glue to minimize the frequency of that occuring
This so much. Every now and then, the Eartips get stuck in my Ear when I pull out the B3's.
B3 Dusk would be nice IF the bass shelf isn't only sub-bass centric. That sounds nice for electronic music, but very much lacking for rock, metal and many acoustic genres.
Can you share the EQ profile that you suggested for the blessing 3?
I would really like electrostatic headphones and would love a video about the topic. I think electrostats are under represented on youtube.
Hello, I have been using premium true wireless earbuds (Sennheiser, B&O, Unique Melody etc.) for a few years but I would like to go one step further and buy a dac dongle for my iPhone and some wired earbuds. I'm looking for a crystal clear sound with dry and powerful bass (but not "artifacts" or overwhelming), incisive highs and above all very high volume, since I mostly listen to house/techno/minimal music. Documenting myself on CZcams I would have thought of this set: Luxury Precision W4/W4 EX (I would also like to understand the difference between the two, from the listening point of view that I have described and to know if they are "plug and play") and Moondrop Blessing 3 (I since these iems use a 3.5 mm jack and I wanted to understand the difference with the balanced 4.4 mm one and if it can be used with these iems) Do you think it's a good choice?! Do you have any other tips for me?! I am truly a beginner in the field and would gladly take advantage of your advice! I await a kind reply. Thank you. Paul Cermelli
People were complaining about the lack of mid bass in B.Dusk.They did again the same mistake ?WHY?
Thank you for the review!
B2 non-dusk is still the king, it appears like 👑
That's what a B2 owner would say.
Just admit defeat ...
@@justaemptymall
You'd be right. Had choice between Dusk and OG, picked OG because preference.
No problem in wanting some lift in the lows though, bro.
I rocked KZ CRN after Blessings and still had fun even though difference is obvious.
Today - HEXA's as dailies, B2's as monitors for production.
Don't foam eartips help with the issues mentioned?
For someone who wants to upgrade his iem´s from a lower price category (let´s say 50~120), should i pick these, or rather the B2 / B2:dusk? I listen to Metal (and a bunch of sub-genres) like 90% of the time, so i don´t need a Bass as deep as the Mariana Trench...
So if EQ can make the Blessing 3 better...can't you say the same thing about the previous blessing 2 with eq as well????
EQ can't account for technical ability unfortunately. The blessing 3 is better in that area
Seems like they tuned the Blessing 3 to be more like the Variations with the greater mid-bass - lower-midrange cut and the improved treble extension.
Curious which one is technically more advanced. Price difference indicates that the variations has more potential..
MMM, A TECHNICAL IMPROVEMENT WITH SOME NEW TUNING ISSUES YOU SAY? If only a dusk retuning was in the works. That would be crazy
/s
The tuning is too agressively toned down in the upper bass to be a good all round iem.
I guess my Performer5 is still a better experience on a daily use that the niche sound of this B3.
But what about blessing 2 dusk comparison? This is where the price bracket is more deciding.
Guys, wouldn't be (kind of) standard to present graphs with 5 dB major steps? This graph, with 2 dB major steps seems deceiving. The midbass dip of 2 dB it's ok, at least not so noticeable as the one in Variations. Also, the 3k peak is from Moondrop's VSDF, no so far from the common targets, just the standard moondrop midrange.
How about comparison with Variations?
I might just buy the B3 Dusk when it's inevitably released
Do you think there will be one?
Many IEM's have slopy bass. That gets into everything and results in poor separation. The blessing 3 is really clean and tight bass and hence provides amazing seperation.
Agreed, allot of people talk about the staging on these things but I honestly can't really hear much staging from these but I do think something that make the blessing 3 shine is how amazing the layer capabilities of the blessing 3's are, you tune the B3 to the dusk tuning then you get a nice fun V shaped tunning with very nicely detailed bass which thumps but is also very nicely layered with the rest of the music

is there a tuning profile out there that fixes the tuning issues already?
Crinicle came out with the blessing 3 dusk tuning on his site that tuning fixes the issue's with the b3 to my ears
@@nuwang2381where on the site is that?
Will there be a Dusk version?
According to crin yes he won’t be making a review on it because their will be a dusk edition
The big guestion: these vs Variations when EQ'd to same target?
@moneypots ?
Dont know about the 3 dusk, but I can't say it's a worthy successor (for me). If you already have b2 no need to rush to upgrade
If I have P5 is it worth an upgrade?
@@dragonousbrokenus69420 it's according to your target preferences.. Blessing 3's detail is awesome, but I can say the bass region is not for everyone. It is almost flat. The bass is really tight and fast thanks to the flat line and hoddus orientation, but still I can say not for everyone.
Technicality, Imaging and soundstage-wise, I can confidently say it's an upgrade tho to aful p5. The overall region especially in mid is thicker, soundstage and imaging felt a little bit wider but still below such like heyday, but the detail is not so different I think. Is it worth the money? For me is a no (my target preferences is similar to BGGAR's to harman) and aful p5 is already a good IEM indeed. Maybe better to invest in source like DAC/AMP/DAP or even proper cable (no need extremely expensive, 50-100$ is already the best deal)
Golden Sound smiles when Andrew (Resolve) did not ❤
His name is Golden Sound???
Guessing Blessing 3 out of stock indicating 4 release
Love the content. Would these be good for gaming/hearing enemies?
i add bass to my dusks already so no issue eqing these but ill probably wait for the b3 dusks
GA - perfect as always.
No EQ good for me.
Will wait for my SA6 mk2
for anyone who thinks that these don't have enough bass/sub-bass - I thought so too, until they were properly broken in. break them in and it fixes this issue
what is this thumbnail brother
Lol, this has nothing to do with the review, but is that a picture of the my type single back there???
That mid bass dip is junk imo. I would have really liked it much closer to target especially for metal. I'll just stick to my blessing 2 I guess since I find the tuning on that nearly perfect
IEF target has been updated. It is more like Harman
Coming from Beyer T1 eq'd, blessing 3 is quite bassy. Iem bass is... I'm not a fan of it tbh. Kinda fake since it's more direct (directly in your eardrum only), headphone bass is decent tho it, at least it gives you some spatial effect (or whatever it call). I can never accustom myself to ear audio bass idk, speaker is waaay better at this (even if mine is not the best, peerless hds 830883 + vifa xt25g30-04 combo)

God, yet another mid-bass/lower-mids cut. How original. To the bin of "don't care" this goes, hopefully there's a retune coming.
