Not going to happen...We have permitted the destruction of this economy; indeed, people applauded it so they could feel safe. 30 million unemployed with 10-15% more unable to even file. This economic collapse? We did it to ourselves through a pathetic display of fear and obeisance toward the "experts" and government tyrants.

You did the right thing by taking a voluntary leave this month. I work in a hospital and we're out of PPE. All of us are doing the best we can and I commend you for staying safe. 💙

Hi ! I was very lucky to have 2 careers that I just loved ! You would make an excellent Esthetician. You already get the work rules from flying, so you could actually do both! Look for schools while you are off in April. And check the rating of the school, because all you have to get on your state board tests is 75%!

You can go part time . Are all salons closed in DFW? I am in Ohio, Cleveland.... Avon Lake to be exact!
And bars, restaurants and all beauty shops are closed, have been for 3 weeks😳!

So we are all affected 😛! You can go the Texas state board and check on requirements that you will need. It is like learning all your FAR’s 😂 They usually have a list of schools that they recommend, as well. Just think 🤔 after you graduate you will have built in clients, your fellow FA’s 🥰! I have studied 20 + lines ... like learning 20 different aircraft , and I have used this one in my practice for 10 years 🥰! I also worked for 3 plastic surgeons for 7 years....done with that 😳😆😇! I make my own world 🤓! When you are a student, you can sign up with Image as a student and be ahead of the learning process. When in school, they teach you the bare bones, then after you pass state boards, then you start learning. See if any salons in your area carry Image, I know they do, many, many ! But you are a positive upbeat person. The last good book i read was Blackhawk Down. Which was my assigned unit in the Republic of Panama and Puerto Rico. Looking forward to the live feed tomorrow.

Because I love to travel but I hate packing and it seems like I have to have a million things to keep myself comfortable

Thanks for sharing your experience and perspective. Just know that things will get better. The few passengers that you see on your flights are traveling essentially to get home. The other passengers that you are “not seeing” in the empty seats are doing their “JOB” by isolating and they are protecting us all. Best wishes to you and many blessings.

I don’t like seeing the airports so empty 😔 but I understand everyone’s fears. All of my European trip was postponed until next year. I would like to take a side trip but I’m afraid it will get cancelled and my money will get tied up again, so I’ll sit and do nothing until it’s safe to go out and socialize again. Miss Luna, what can I say about your pup. She’s the most adorable pup ever! I just love seeing her, she’s so adorable. Hey, Eric! You, Julia, and Luna are great, thanks for being part of Julia’s vlog. The food from Taco Cabana looks delicious. We have one not far from me, now you have made me want this for dinner tonight. I just subscribed to Netflix so I’m going to look for The Stranger. I’m impressed with your handstand. I remember the days when I could do them, not anymore🤣! Glad you got you LOA for this month. Back in the 1990s I had a flight from JFK to CDG and it was a red eye flight. It was on a TWA 747, and when I woke up it was just over the gray line and one of the flight attendants stated “it would be so nice to waltz on the clouds” I never forgot that. Advance a couple of years only to learn that that flight attendant lost her life on flight 800. I am sure she would love it if another flight attendant liked sun rises. Be well Julia.

I've led a pretty active life myself. I am 66 now and have
been going to gyms for many years and eat healty. I've ridden motor cycles,
been backpacking in Glacier National Park and other wilderness, rough, and mountainous
areas for days at a time hiking with a 50lb backpack for six to eight miles a
day in rough terrain, skydived for a few years, snowmobiled to a top of a
mountain in Iceland, gone on a safari in Kenya, been to Alaska, Hawaii, slept
on the beaches of New Zealand, explored the pyramids of Egypt, worked for law
enforcement in Cleveland Ohio for nine years, Hollywood made a movie about
something I was involved with and the name of the movie is called “Kill The
Irishman”,…. And so much more. I was a teen-ager in the sixties and life was
good.
You might have guessed that I also worked for the airlines. I
worked in the industry for twenty years. Ten with American Airlines, two with
Airtran, and eight with Northwest Airlines. In those twenty years I worked as a
reservation agent at a call center, I also trained new hires, was an international
agent, a ramp agent, flight attendant, gate agent, ticket agent, and baggage
claim. Loved going to work every day.
BUT…. As fit and adventurist as I was. I… have… never been able to do what I just saw you do!
You have my respect.

Very similar to late 2008 - I was in Europe on business and had a flight from Milan to Rotterdam. Turned out the only passengers were myself and one other - there were more flight attendants than passengers. Very weird flying in an empty plane. Hopefully this ends sooner rather than later. What's even more eerie is when you have a major international airport that doesn't have any departing or arriving flights for an hour midday. That's what happened at CYVR yesterday.

It’s tough to see any good coming at such a high cost of human lives. Imagine you father or mother dying and you not being able to even visit them in the hospital. And you think it will never happen to me, well I’ve known four people that have died of it in Seattle, one week they were alive and well, and the next day dead, happens that fast. The door that opens is whatever your beliefs are of the Afterlife for those that passed. This is worse than 911, and our Reality will never be the same.
I hear some police are stopping people asking them why they are on the road...our rights are being taken away from us for our good, nevertheless they are. Our families can’t even hug one another. My Mother in Law and Uncle are in a Senior Care Centers and we cannot see them, hold them...we go and visit them and they are on the other side of the wall, and we talk to them on our cell phones as if they are prisioners.
The door that opens...is the government taking away our freedoms, and that is a scary situation. They are seperating us...and if they can do it now, they can do it again. If you think that possibly coming together in times of need are what is good, well we’ve always done that....Boston Bombing, Katrina, Twin Towers, are all Catastophies that United Us, but this one....seperates us. Now the true hero’s are the Medical Field, putting themselves at Dangers and it’s tragic so many of them are dying.

Hey Julia. Glad to see you are safe and healthy. I was really surprised that AA would fly such a large capacity plane with so few passengers instead of subbing it out for say a 737. Maybe you can comment on how AA makes those decisions. I use to fly a red eye from Seattle to ORD to PHL 4 - 5 times a year. The first leg was on a DC-10 and we maybe had 30 passengers on the flight since it was a repositioning flight. What I loved about it was just about all of us would get a seat in the center section, which was 5 seats wide, flip up the armrests, lay done, buckle in and go to sleep. Oh for the gold ol days. Thx for posting. Continue to stay safe and healthy. God bless. Oh btw, was digging those plaid (flannel?) PJs you had on at the drive through. Also nice to see you supporting the hospitality industry by using takeout. We are doing a once a week takeout from a variety of restaurants in our area to lend support.
Hi John I was a bit surprised too we took a 787 on a domestic route but we will do that occasionally! Often times we also carry cargo or medical equipment. We've been trying to do take out lately too! :)
It was emotional that I had to leave my training as well due to this severe virus. My heart goes out to all of you beautiful people out there that are still working during this difficult time, this will pass and hopefully see you all in the skies in the future

It would be wonderful, if you could make a video of a stretching exercises that can do in your seat during a flight. Stretching that wouldn't be alarming to flight attendants or would cause problems with other passengers.

It is eerie out there. I’m a truck driver and being able to go through all the big cities during rush hour without slowing down is something else. I want to get out of trucking to try and become a flight attendant but that’ll have to wait a while. Stay safe and healthy.

Chill Encounters Same here. These airlines treat their staff like garbage. They don’t deserve a bailout. I’m all for being positive, but if we’re told to have an emergency savings fund for rainy days then airlines should have done the same. They can eat the consequences of their stock buy backs and enjoy sending out empty planes.

Hey :) I'm a Delta Flight Attendant. I just started my voluntary leave of 3 months and I feel just like you, I miss flying already. It did feel weird and crazy to see empty airports and empty planes for a while. This is a time I will never forget because we get to see what other people can't.

My friend's son just left the airforce and was hired by United to train fling the Boeing 777. He has been put on furlough. We will get pass this pandemic and things will get back to normal. Having many friends that are retired, they had to cancel trips, there will be a big pent-up demand for travel and hotels. Love watching and learning about your job Julia. Stay safe.

I watch your Channel and other channels like yours because if you work, I work. So, In April I think 🤔 you could do Book Reviews videos ( I’m the same when come to books and series. check out the book/series 11/22/63) and keep up doing the fitness videos and incorporate Luna as much as possible together with other video or as a stand alone dog 🐶 video. Hi Julia, you will look back to this experience one day of flying on empty....😃 at least you still get flights! You certainly have a lot of legroom on such flights! Don't worry the airlines are getting bailed out & will be back to capacity soon. I really like the b787-9 but would really love to try the other side too! The new Airbus A350-900. Your still operating internal flights in the US ... We're all grounded here in the UK ... Airlines here have halted and stored their aircraft ... The only flights going out of airports at the moment are Cargo flights ... ??? Stay Safe !!!
We've grounded A TON of flights, no sure about total percentage but I know it's been a massive reduction. A lot of our flights are also transporting cargo and medical equipment. Hope you stay safe as well!

If the planes are flying empty, why are the flights still so expensive. I was going to fly later this week and the prices shocked me so I am going to drive.

So Miss Luna's exercise routine consists of plenty of cardio and agility. I love seeing such a happy dog!

Surprisingly we take the 787 on some domestic routes, I also know a lot of our larger aircrafts are transporting cargo at the moment too!
The bigger planes usually have more senior pilots. Since there is no international trips, and they aren't rated for flying 737, domestic trips are the only way to get some hours for them.
I hope we get back to being able to fly soon, I was supposed to fly today, but cancelled.
AA’s first 787 flight was from ORD-DFW. I am guessing they use those planes to go on to Latin America, Europe and Asia.
Another example of management mismanaging the airline. For some crazy reason AA is still flying twice as many flights then DL and UA. I believe they want to run through their cash to speed the trip up to the courthouse. Why send a 787 when a 175 could have done it that trip for a fraction of the cost.
