The largest mountain in the world is probably known to everyone, i.e., Mount Everest, at more than 29 thousand feet. 1% of the people that attempt to climb it die. But did you know that there’s another mountain where 20% of the climbers always end up dead? Yes, K2 is the second-tallest mountain in the world. Today, we'll discuss a terrible disaster from 2008 on this "Savage" Mountain in light of Wilco Van Rooijen's story.

There is a tremendous documentary about this tragedy by Storyville called 'K2: The Killer Summit'. I recommend it to anyone interested in this episode or mountaineering in general.
Your videos are quite nicely done! However, it would be beneficial to put on screen the name of the mountainer or others; esp. with some of the more exotic names are said.
Life is so precious, I can't comprehend risking a 20% chance of death without a good reason. Life is about relationships and friendships, music.
Life is about greed,corruption, ignorance,malfeasance,cruelty,criminal negligence and then you get to decide who you really are?
Armchair enthusiasts have a much better chance of surviving.
People climbing beyond their skill level deserve what they get. I feel sorry for the families that mourn them.
