I have the utmost respect for how you two covered well over a hundred songs and in every one of them pay respect to the original creator(s) while also making it your own. The ability to strip down songs/styles/genres and adapt it to two voices, a guitar and lap is amazing. Megan must have covered at least half an orchestra by now I think!
When you cover a tune you give it a total new life.
I'm from Manchester originally (now residing in Scotland at the foothills of the Scottish Highlands in a coastal prior fishing village) and many of my family live in Liverpool. To say that I have a connection to this song that reaches way back to my earliest years would be an understatement.
I just want to congratulate you both on your awesome rendition and version of this beautiful, crazy, trippy Beatles song. Bravo, Larkin Poe! You never fail to surprise and impress!!

I can remember the original Beatles video of this on the Ed Sullivan show in 1967(?). I was 14, and I thought "What is that?". I still do. Great cover... great lap-steel.

It’s hard to know what to make of this. No one can really cover this song-it’s a sacred totem of Rock’n’Roll. Perfect in itself.
But somehow it feels like they blew it away. Not sure quite how this was recorded, but it should be on a record. Not a cleaned up studio version. This.
The build at 1:36, the lap steel slide at 1:42, and the harmony at 1:59. Bravo!
In the early Tip O' The Hat days it was a USB mic, a lap top with Garage Band and an I Phone. They've recently added a 1000 dollar mic and improved production with effects on the vocals, if the amps are miced up I don't know. They still record, just the two of them, in spare rooms in their respective houses. LP will tell you that they don't do these covers to copy the original, but to learn and be inspired by it, hence the term Tip O' The Hat.
