I teach a guitar class for free in my community. I started them off with open tuning their guitars and often talk about Larkin Poe.
The students vary in age but my goal is to get them to performance level and they have wonderfully surprised us!

Amazing. The slide guitar supported the acoustic, then at the end they soloed with each other. The vocals support each other as well. They took a great song, made it their own, and made it better within their own imitation of it, yet not taking from the songwriters themselves. Thank God for CZcams to be able to hear this music! Amazing!

one of my all time favorite songs; so a really high bar for a cover, for me. but they hit this out of the park. people often comment on the sibling harmony thing, but they took this to another level; those harmony notes Meg was holding perfectly, and the lap steel solo and the end solo, and Rebecca's emotional connection. so so good.
