Wish it was tomorrow but I'm glad it's finally official.
Long time coming. The price range of this segment makes it one of the most consequential. As things currently stand, Nikon has an opportunity to bring more new uses into the brand than any time in recent memory. They have rightfully reclaimed their place on the top tier along side Canon,Sony, and Fuji. They have built mindshare with the performance of the Z9, Z8, Zf, and their top drawer lens ecosystem (in quality AND value). Many considering a Sony A7IV, Canon R6!!, or Lumix S5II will now consider the Nikon Z6III. Not to mention Z6/6II, D750, and Nikon ‘DSLR users who have been holding out for this camera. The Z6III release is going to be a great day for Nikon and their supporters. Oh…and long live the Gypsy Kings!. 🙂
The executives of Sony and Canon must be quite anxious, hoping and praying that Nikon doesn't incorporate Red software functions into the new Nikon Z6 III. This conclusion is not a bold statement as the Nikon Red marriage occurred much earlier than anticipated, allowing Nikon ample time to meticulously examine and test these software applications.
It would be good to be surprised with a Nikkor Z 35mm f/1.2 S, together with the Z6 III.

My take is it will be fast and have pre capture and autofocus will be what we would expect of a z 8 or close , the second hint I think is about the new Evf but maybe some type of internal ND filter ? . Lastly the focused on colours . Why ? New codec ? Maybe a red style codec ? Hmmm and hopefully open gate !!! Great video brother !! Thanks 🙏🏻

Almost sounds like no mechanical shutter in their cameras from now on 🤔 and possibly a stacked sensor for blackout free shooting?
That was my first impression - no mechanical shutter. That would also save battery for any kind of continuous precapture

There might be an internal ND to see in bright situations, if not, then yes, the EVF might be super bright or maybe it has some new tech for seeing better in bright situations
Remember when Thor (Rocket and Grut) arrived in Wakanda during Marvel’s Infinity War? This is THAT moment. In Nikon marketing parlance, the Z6III has assumed the role of Storm Breaker. As I recall Steve Rogers saying in Avengers (1), “Thor, Light the bastards up!”
This is what I think the video means. The first thing it talks about is pre-capture. The z8, z9 and zf all have that. The second thing is probably talking about a higher resolution EVF. It's supposed to have a 5 million dot resolution. It could be referring to having a 1/16,000 shutter speed which would let you open the aperture an extra stop by u think it's the EVF. I think on the lay party about the colors is referring to me video specs. Or possibly 16 bit raw files. I haven't heard any rumors about 16 but so it's probably the video specs.
how is pre capture a game changer when the z8 and z9 have it already.
It could be just a marketing term... OR there's another, updated kind of precapture... We'll see
Maybe pre capture in RAW? Currently Z8 and Z9 does jpg only.
I once got the Z5 on sale but I will continue to use my dslr's. I don't miss anything regarding the F mount.
Steve Perry and Rachel Bigsby, both wildlife photographers, have dropped videos saying they are testing the Z6iii so their reviews will drop on Monday. I think the wildlife stuff is sayig that the autofocus is now sufficient for birds in flight. If it has 33 megapixels and a flippy screen I will just keep my Zf and curse the flippy screen every time I go out (or just use the Z9, which I often do). I am liking the low light/high ISO performance of the Zf too much to give it up for cropping room.
I think 24.5mp, exspeeed 7, 10 bit internal 4k 120fps, better evf, better autofocus, precapture. I believe this will be a cross over from zf and z8.
I think it's an ok release. I wanted more MPs, and I hate the flippy-out screen. Still, this will be a hit with the video crowd. I'll pass and see if the Z7III comes out. If not, I’ll get a Z8.
I hope people get what they want. I hope it’s all that so I can get one used in 5 years to pair with my z9. I am just not excited until around 2030ish.
To be fully covered in terms of wildlife you also need a good low light camera. Most creatures in Madagascar and elsewhere come out after dusk, and they are swift. 45 mp with 25000 iso as upper limit is not good enough for that.. yes the highest. iso numbers are just numbers but low iso cameras tend not to be great low light performers.
Game changer? I wonder what camera was used on the opening drone shot? Can't wait to see specs because the Z7III isn't far behind.
V you make sense .........I am a stills guy wish the flippy could be the SONY Flippy and Tilty ......heat is a concern as you would know as videographer ........33mp would be cool but 24 is good however would love 40 mp as well ..........KEEP ROCKING DUDE as STEVE @ BACK COUNTRY GALLERY is testing it as well there must be some nature photog features in this all rounder of a camera ....we will see ....V ....WEWILL SEE

I think it’ll have an OLED EVF with a faster, refresh rate and better contrast than the previous Z6II EVF, hopefully will not be disappointed.
Feels like they are pushing speed of autofocus - Really hope it’s a stacked sensor…. Sony may have agreed to licence the a9 mk1 mk2 sensor??
If it has red code raw I will be selling my fx30 and buying immediately

If....if, Nikon make the Z6III a 24MP " stacked " sensor then it will be a gamechanger. I'd rather have a 24MP stacked super fast readout sensor than a 33MP BSI CMOS. If we only get 24MP BSI CMOS that will still be ok with me but I won't lie, I'll be just a tad disappointed. I'm sure I'll pre order one in any event just for the improved EVF and overall AF improvements. I'm not a video guy so not particularly interested in that aspect so much. If it does have a stacked sensor then it should be even faster than the one found in the Z8 and Z9 given its lower megapixel count. Very excited to see what we get next Monday! 😁

The trailer says basically e shutter faster fps ....better ibis for moving videos better af in video and better color depth which means 10 12 maybe 14 bit

The phrase "game changer" is so overused in marketing, as is "AI". They should mix it up with "epoch making", "raising the bar", "setting a new standard", etc. Der Bauer, a German PC vlogger, just visited CompDex in Europe and everything was AI-this and AI-that, including things that have nothing to do with AI like gaming chairs, monitors, pens, pencils. It's sickening. Actually it's about time Nikon put pre-capture in a mid range model. I suspect the EVF will be brighter with higher resolution. 24 vs 33 mp is a good question -- we'll see! BTW, Steve Perry, who is a wildlife/ BIF photographer and produces amazing images, is testing a pre-production Z6iii down in Florida - I have to check out his video next.
I hate to say it but in order to release a third generation camera in needs to be higher megapixels than the last. I would anticipate allot of Nikon shooters being disappointed with another 24MP sensor. Wildlife shooters use high megapixels in their cameras for a reason! ROCK ON V!!!
There's a market for 24mp cameras. Personally, I would rather have a great 24mp camera than an average 45mp one. Also, Nikon has 3 cameras that are 45mp so there's plenty to choose from.
Would not be surprised if this new camera has a new 24 megapixel stacked sensor with extremely fast read out.
I will keep my Z8 and my Z6ii, and keep the money to buy the 35mm 1.2…

@@castieldiallo2945 There's no doubt about that, but would they switch now if they knew that a great camera is comming? That's the purpose of these kind of announcements - letting people know what's coming soon. Even Canon had to make the R1 announcement, just to tell their users they're working on something big. They didn't even hint any kind of spec. So now, most pros who need a blazing-fast camera to work with will wait and see what Canon made, instead of contemplating switching to other brand(s).

Jared Polin's channel is terrible. I'm not sure why anyone would bother with his channel. His channel is mainly geared towards noobs anyway. The big three camera makers have achieved parity in AF, so AF should not be the determining factor when picking a camera.
