    I have decided to tell you guys how long does it take me to record, edit, and upload each video. And also I will tell you that if the video has a copyright claim on it or not. Because when a video has a Copyright claim, then I cannot make money from the ads on my video.
    Recording: 1:50 I have recorded the intro for a million times :)))
    Editing: 4:30
    Uploading (designing the thumbnail and selecting proper hashtags and tags of the video): 1:30
    Total time spent on the video: 7:50
    The video has a copyright claim on it and I have to fill a dispute to get the right of the video. At this moment the video is totally blocked :(
    The result of the dispute: The owner of the video, INA - Institut National de l'Audiovisuel, has blocked my video for now and I have to fill a dispute to get permission of making the video visible to the public.

    Daniel Balavoine played a "rebel" character in starmania. Michel Berger and his wife France Gall (who also played in starmania) were really good friends of Daniel. Michel composed the music to match with his unconventional voice.
    Starmania is more than 40 years old but all the original topics are pretty actual. (power of money, nature destruction, human destruction despair and violence...
    In S. O. S. D'un terrien en détresse, the character loosed his love. She died and with her, his little light in the darkness, so he wanted to die . The song started at that point.

    • @LilyApak
      @LilyApak Před 8 měsíci

      Just a small correction. This aria was not a death aria in the 1979 show. It was in the middle of the show, representing the existential reflections of Johnny Rockfort. It was moved towards the end in 1980, the second production of Starmania (Quebec) where it was performed by Johnny Rockfort (Robert Leroux) over the dead body of Cristal. It has been like that since as we have seen in the theatrical performances by Norman Groulx (86, 88), Bruno Pelletier (93), Etienne Dupuis (opera), and even the current one. ✨

    Cette chanson interprétée par Groulx dans starmania est la meilleure interprétation à mon sens. Dimash est un vocaliste, un technicien qui arime ses organes. Mais le sentiment, l'âme, l'émotion sont moins bien transmis. Balavoine est très bon dans son interprétation et Groulx est sublime sur les planches mêmes pour lesquelles cette chanson a été écrite. C'est pourquoi jamais 2 sans 3. Groulx fait une interprétation exceptionnelle de SOS d'un Terrien en Détresse pour sa prestation dans la comédie musicale Starmania. Ca vaut le coup!

    Hello Ijay, I have just discovered your channel. Daniel Balavoine brought me here, I am glad you liked his voice and his performance. Thank you for adding subtitles to your videos, it is essential for those who do not understand the French language. And congratulations on getting started in French yourself, your pronunciation is really good. Here are a few suggestions for learning French while singing (try those in order, they get progressively more ‘difficult’ although they are beginners’ level):
    Philippe Katerine ‘Les premiers seront les derniers’
    Amadou et Mariam ‘Je pense à toi’
    Clara Luciani ‘La baie’
    Nino Ferrer ‘Les cornichons’ (for when you get around to learning the names of food stuff)
    Marc Lavoine ‘Dis-moi que l’amour’
    Françoise Hardy ‘Tous les garçons et les filles’
    Zazie ‘20 ans’
    France Gall ‘La déclaration d’amour’
    Rita Mitsouko ‘Andy’
    Étienne Daho et Charlotte Gainsbourg ‘If’
    Francis Cabrel ‘Répondez-moi’
    Different times, different styles. I hope you will enjoy your journey with a new language. Bonne route !

    Nice reaction 😃. To add more context to the song, in the show Daniel's character "Johnny Rockfort" (Johnny Hardrock in EN), about to let himself arrested, holds in his arms the dead body of his loved one who just got shot by fascist militians. So with all respects due to Dimash awesome technical talent, I don't think how he (probably was told to) sang it in such a watch-me-how-I-can-sing-with-cool-twists-and-effects way was very appropriate, and I totally understand why only the people who don't know the song aren't pissed 😂 Maybe he didn't know any context about the song, I'm not blaming him that much, if someone was to blame it would be his coach for misdirecting him.

    Hello from france and thank you for this reaction.
    If you like great songs with epic musicians, deep lyrics and goosebump-inducing vocals, you should try the band Nightwish. They have a "holy trilogy" of songs : Ghost Love Score / The Poet and the Pendulum / The Greatest Show on Earth, but it's better to start with other songs and know the band first, to fully understand the lyrics of those (especially for Poet). A good starting point would be their covers of Phantom of the Opera or High Hopes but any other song is ok, they nave NO bad song, just be sure to find official live videos (with subtitles if possible).
    Just a personnal advice, as Scar said to the hyenas : BE PREPARED ;) because this band is a rabbit hole, when you experience their music, there is no turning back, and the Nightwish Army (of fans) will invade your channel. Once you post your first reaction, our general Gabriel will find you and send you all the information you need. I hope you'll enjoy the ride :)

      @@IJayReaction C'est pas tellement qu'un étranger chante une chanson française, c'est plus d'utiliser une chanson uniquement pour faire une performance vocale. Dimash n'est pas le seul étranger à avoir reprit cette chanson ni même le seul Kazakh (kairat tuntekov l'a fait) et pourtant personne ne l'a transformé en démonstration de force.

    • @MissKittyKatify
      @MissKittyKatify Před 3 lety +3

      It’s about emotions and subject matter. I have absolutely nothing against Dimash. First, I wish I could sing half as well at him. Second, thanks to him it seems that people are discovering French classics. Now, a lot of French songs are story based. So technically speaking, Dimash’s voice is amazing; on the other hand, his pronunciation is not great and as the song goes on entire phrases sound like scrambled eggs so you lose the story and it’s meaning and the emotional connection( and it’s not a dig. I’ve lived in England for nearly 30 years now and although I speak clearly and fluently, I still have my French accent). This song is about a young man contemplating suicide. The text, the metaphors are not just beautiful and melodic, they convey deep turmoil. If they are inaudible, it just becomes a ( beautiful) technical exercise. Lara Fabian is not a French national but she speaks French so she understands each word she’s singing. So when she sings Serge Lama’s “Je suis malade” it’s just stunning and deeply moving. Perfect vocal technique meets storytelling. She breathes and modulates her voice according to the text. Serge Lama wrote it about the end of his own secret, impossible relationship (the song is 47 years old now!). Yet it looks like Lara is sharing her own story. And most listeners assume so. If you look closely, at the end of the live performance that seems to be circulating the most, when the songs end and people are clapping, she remains in the moment.

      @@IJayReaction Don't be sorry, I'm happy to help you to get it right. BTW French language is quite tricky in the way many consonants at the end of words are silent, and also the fact there are a lot of exceptions on grammatical rules too.
      A fast way to get a (more or less) accurate pronunciation of a French name or word is to type it on google translate and listen to it.

Another nice possibility is to watch French videos from youtubers with subtitles. There are also some French practice channels where people talk slowly in order to get used to the pronunciation and flow, like Learn French with FrenchPod101, Easy French, Comme une Française, Français avec Pierre or Inner French.
