Olympics usually bankrupt countries or cities who donot even have corruption. Nothing good will come out of it
Why? All tv rights sponsorship rights of games are actually with IOC . These are only money making aspects of games . Rest donot even cover cost of hosting games. Forget abt all that infrastructure needed. Commonwealth games infra is already unutilised and dilapidated .
Instead of govt making infra for athletes . let ex sportspersons make it like sania mirza or pulela gopichand did. They will manage and keep it in better shape. As it will be their own business. Plus it will give them future employment after retirement. Badminton tennis are big in india without holding olympics because of such atheletes and their support infrastructure. Govt expenses are usually waste.
