*'Terva salmiakki isn't it same thing put in roads and stuff'', nope. that's bitumen or asphalt, which comes from oil either natural deposits or refined product.
Terva is wood tar usually derived from the dry distillation from pine tree, which also produse charcoal in progress. or birch bark same method.

mixing your own Tyrkisk Peber liquor is really popular you get stornger alcohol % and taste is stronger salmiakki so you dont taste the liqour at all only the salmiakki

Wurdet ihr an der Kasse auch gefragt, ob ihr eine „pussi“ wollt? Das hat mich beim ersten Supermarkt-Einkauf in Finnland stark irritiert. Es handelt sich um eine harmlose „Tüte“ 😅 - vielleicht gibt es inzwischen aber auch keine Tüten mehr beim Einkaufen.
