Surprised that you didn't mention when talking about Commanders Palace, it's where both Paul Prudhomme and Emeril Lagasse got their start in the culinary world.
Great Video. Going to New Orleans soon. At :28 seconds into this video there is a pic of what appears to be Fried Pork Belly..... DELICIOUS! Was this from a location in New Orleans? Where can I get that great dish. Thanks.
Being from New Orleans seeing this list it makes me really miss K-Pauls . There are old world country Cajun restaurants outside of New Orleans that are even better than what you could find inside of it . Paul Prudhomme brought a lot of the Opelousas and Lafayette areas into New Orleans cooking and it was stellar .

As someone who’s been to NOLA over 20 times, this is a very solid list!
But do note, it is NEVER called “Nawlins” no one from there calls it that
I've been to Dat Dog's. The music was a little loud, but the food was phenomenal. Try a Rougaru!
Elizabeth's...the breakfast is amazing.
Commander palace is a must in Nola
The acme restaurant was a great restaurant to get raw oysters!
NO ONE FROM NOLA
CALLS IT NAWLINS..
Great research.
What? I'm born and raised here and we all call it Nawlins.
@Avtotar from lower 9th ward we have never called it nawlins
Take a shot every time he says "unique." See if you can walk.
