- Restored to its original 1987 condition down to the very last detail: Hans-Joachim Stuck has waited just short of 35 years to be reunited with his racecar. The silk cloth has finally been peeled back, so set your eyes on the vehicle's reveal at the Weissach Development Centre.

The 962 C is for me the most outstanding Vintage Racecar ever. 😍
Agree,but for me, there is still a more iconic and also a king of Zuffenhauzen and endurance motor racing , the 917´s K and LH in the early´s 70! Porsche for me is " Holy Graal" of motor racing and sportcars for racing and daily use since I had 6 years old and I had 68 now.

There's a store in LA that has one of these and it's genuinely the most breathtaking car I've ever seen. I spent at least 20 minutes just walking around staring at it.

I'm not a big fan of the Porsche streetcars, but for me it's stuff like this that makes Porsche a magical brand. It's like a big extended family.
You have to remember that, It is cars like these which bring to fruition, the innovations of Engine Technology, Aerodynamics, etc.. As it trickles down to road cars, or "Streetcars" as you put it.. Racecars, is what makes mainstream streetcars a thing. Not just for Porsche of course..

Amazing! Would have been even better if the restoration included the original PDK gearbox, but I assume there are no parts available for these.
Yeah no it was all custom but they could re-do it if they wanted. Its Porsche they can make anything. BUT like the 80s/90s groupb/c rally cars their fancy electronic differentials are so outdated it wouldnt be worth fixing. You can run modern mechanical stuff thats just as good. Plus back then they spent tons to find tenths. Something any modern owner of these cars wouldnt need

DANKE PORSCHE! Ich hoffe ja, dass ich das Auto nochmals dort sehen werde, wo ich es "damals" schon gesehen habe, am Nürburgring. Was ist denn aus dem weißen "T17" geworden, den H.J. Stuck damals im Training bewegt hat? Hatte er die gleiche Spezifikation gehabt wie das "Rennauto"? Ich muss mal schauen, ich glaube, ich habe noch Dia´s vom Rennen damals.
