TransLink Expo Line SkyTrain - New Westminster to Production Way/University (2024)

It's about time for another SkyTrain ride! In this video, we board a Bombardier Innovia Metro 300 train (formed of cars 477-480) at New Westminster on a service to Production Way-University.
Interesting news afoot! Alternate trains on the Lougheed branch of the Expo Line are turning back at Braid instead, for the next couple of years. This is due to the outbound track being out of service on account of the construction project just beyond Braid station, for the new Operations and Maintenance centre. As such, we run on the 'wrong' track from Sapperton, all the way to Lougheed Town Centre. Then we proceed as normal to Production Way-University.

Will be interesting to see the revised final track configuration in that area after the work to build the new connection for the new maintenance center is finished.

Hey welwyn why don’t they add white mark 3? There are white mark 1 and 2, why not 3?

The white livery is no longer applied, TransLink has favoured the charcoal sweep ever since it was introduced to SkyTrain in 2009 with the second order of Mk2 trains.
