Great list but I'd put :
Plant on 2nd
Axl Rose on 3rd
Bono on 4th
Bowie on 5th
and Mick Jagger on 6th
I would also add Anthony Kiedis🤟
I love rhcp but Anthony kiedies is not that good
@@felipepoggi7901 In my opinion, he is very good. He's got definitely better voice than Paul McCartney...
@@atomicblonde966 in live doesnt
@@atomicblonde966 wtf? In what universe?
@@atomicblonde966 I’m sorry but McCartney was a power house bigger vocal range than Jagger Plant and Mercury
1. MERCURY
2.STEVEN TYLER
3.ROBERT PLANT
Elvis first and Axl 4th
@@burtonkephart6239 These clowns who make list deliberately leave Elvis out of the top position because the want clicks and controversy. I mean, duh, he is The King and greatest hero of the Age of Rock and bigger in '23 than he was during his life time (when he was the biggest superstar on Earth). Good call.
Bono, Axl and Bowie deserve higher places ...
I agree with Bowie, but Axl’s voice is extremely irritating when he sings high (which he does a lot).
@@TokyoBalletReprise u say.. axl rose is one of the best singers ever.. he s just the rock voice
@@francescounida5682 He’s definitely not, his voice just doesn’t sound good to the ear.
@@TokyoBalletReprise u don t have ears
@@francescounida5682 I do lol, go listen to your basic dad rock and cope.
Oh, yes, Freddie was the greatest ever for me!
Me too..we miss him don't we?
ME TOO! MAN! ME TOO!
I miss Liam Gallagher, Kurt Cobain, The Boss and Chester Bennington but the list is pretty good
I think liam gallagher in his prime is amazing. But his voice didnt age very good
Liam had a very distinct voice like no other but technically he’s not one one of the greatest singers in the world
Cobain was a great musician but for singing was on a high school level
@@charkieee7866 way better than Thom yorke
@@DerekDerekDerekDerekDerekDerek I agree
20.Bono
19.Chuck Berry
18.Axl Rose
17.Sting
16.Thom Yorke
15.John Lennon
14.David Bowie
13.Eddie Vedder
12.Steven Tyler
11.Roger Daltrey
10.Little Richard
9.Elvis Presley
8.Jim Morrison
7.Eric Burdon
6.Chris Cornell
5.Brad Delp
4.Paul McCartney
3.Robert Plamt
2.Mick Jagger
1.Freddie Mercury
Bruce Dickinson,Steve Perry,Van Morrison were some other great singers
Dio is missing! I would place him as the 2nd best singer after F. Mercury
Dio, Ian Gillan, Bruce Dickinson, David Coverdale and a lot more are better than a lot of these. David Bowie, Morrison and a few more did great but werent nothing special of a singers.
U r right, he sang such as incredible
Yes, you are right. And Rob Halford is also missing or Michael Kiske, the ex Helloween singer
Maybe they need different categories . Rock, hard rock , metal etc
First place, Ronnie was clearly most powerful and better vocalist than Freddie.
David bowie-Eddie vedder-chris cornell-Robert plant!!!!The best!!!⭐⚡⚡💫💫🔝
Thanks for respecting McCartney. How many singers have such incredible versatility and range that they can perfectly sing Oh, Darling. Here, There & Everywhere and Lady Madonna?
Listen to Kansas City! Didn't even recognize him!
Elvis should have been in this list. He is the greatest Rock singer of all time.
These ''list making clowns'' are all about the clicks. By not putting Elvis at number 1 (which is where Morrison, McCartney, Lennon, Bono, Jagger, et. al would have placed him), this clown wants to generate clicks, controversy, and comments. He did list Elvis at #9 (which is absurd). The greatness of Elvis is not limited to Rock, of course. I can only laugh with derision at the exclusion of Paul Rodgers, who, IMO, is the greatest Hard Rock singer (after Elvis Presley). And that this clown left out Roy Orbison is sheerest ignorance. Even Elvis never covered Orbison, because his respect for The Big O was so great. And I am dumbfounded that he left out Cobain, who left a mark that will not soon be forgotten (by anyone with any taste). And where is Hendrix? WTH?
Elvis is great but Freddie will always be the GOAT even if he was influenced by Elvis himself.
@@meetontheledge1380Hendrix, leave the drugs mate great guitarist but not even top 100 singers, his tech is awful
I miss Steve Perry on this list. Greatest voice ever
Great list, but I’d put this order:
Freddie
Robert Plant
Elvis
Bowie
Jagger
Axl Rose
Brad Delp
Jim Morrison
Steven Tyler
Cornell
Eric Burdon
Little Richard
McCartney
Lennon
Roger Daltrey
Eddie Vedder
Yorke
Sting
Chuck Berry
Bono
(Didn’t change the names of the list)
I considered the power of the voice in my opinion
Chris Cornell was light years ahead of Jim Morrison
Yeah dude but you forgot number one. Layne fucking Staley. And you talk about power
PAUL RODGERS
@@themaczter9024 and mick jagger . Elvis should be number one tho
Yea well Elvis really started it all as far as rock vocals . Probably have to have two categories one for regular Rock and one for hard rock. Hard rock would have Plant number one then maybe Axl, Chris C, S Tyler , Sebastian Bach, Freddie , etc
You miss:
Kurt Cobain
Chester Bennington
Phil Collins
Bruce Dickinson
James Hetfield
Ozzy Osbourne
Brian Johnson
Layne Staley
Layne Staley???
@@emanuelesardu1877 forgot, sorry
Jon Bon Jovi :)

i saw Chris Cornell i click. as simple as that
He had such an amazing voice
@@enbee6553 yes. i always enjoying my time listening to his songs. amazingly good. sadly he's gone now
Same
Another Cornell stand here.
For Me:
Jeff Buckley
Glenn Hughes
Matt Bellamy
Roger Taylor
Paul McCartney
Eric Martin
Brian May
Daniel Johns
Mili (Steel Heart)
Klaus Maine
Geddy Lee
Yeeewah, i agree with Roger, Matt and Paul:D
Wait so Roger and Brian but not Freddie?
@@charkieee7866 I Like Freddie but he is often cited in anything related to singing! little is said about the other singers. Perhaps, he is too out of place!
I need to show that it's not just Freddie who sings well! It's not just he who sang. There are others, but I particularly prefer Roger's tone, for me it's an amazing voice!
But that's not to say I don't like his voice...it's amazing! But it's not just him on Queen.
@@larissanascimento1035Respect for adding Daniel Johns and Klaus Meine. Fully agree with those
Layne staley should definitely make this list
Awesome video! Love the way you isolated the vocals so we can really hear the voices. I agree with Freddy as the top bit def would’ve put Bono higher on the list. Chris Cornell was a nice surprise - glad to see him on there . Love Pearl Jam but I don’t think I would’ve given Eddie Vedder that high a position - but I respect your choices
I would have swapped Eddie Vedder for Kevin Dubrow. One listen to "Bang Your Head (Metal Health)" and you'll see why. Kevin could hit some pretty respectable high notes and not crack, and of course he could do the metally low notes well too
@@BoredOuttaMySkullBoi Kevin was awesome. Quiet Riot=Kings Of Metal!!!
1)FREDDIE 2)Klaus Meine 3)Elvis 4) Matt Bellamy
Elvis first
Do you not grasp the absurdity of putting Elvis Presley at any but first place?
Glad to see Cornell on this list, he is my favorite of all time. Missing Layne Staley though. As much as I love the band Pearl Jam, I don’t think he should be in the top 20 singers.
Great list, but I feel like Ian Gillan (Deep Purple) is missing.
So funny that nobody even mentions him in the comments. I am not a fan of DP, but he is the only one who can argue with Freddie's top position
Ian Gillan is my 2nd or 3rd favorite rock singer tied with Plant and behind Freddie. I feel sad no one ever mentions him because he's not popular or mainstream enough. People know who Deep Purple is (or maybe known as the Smoke on the Water guys), but they don't know the members of them.
I'd put Plant in 2nd, McCartney in 3rd and Jagger in 4th
Jagger first
@@catarinacosta2431 Freddie sang better
@smokin cheerios McCartney is number 1 his vocal range was 4.7 much bigger than the others just listen to him on long tall sally oh! Darling and helter skelter
Yet McCartney, Jagger, and Plant (especially) would laugh in your face and speak the obvious: Elvis Presley is the greatest Rock singer.
Layne should be on the list
Best singer of grunge
Cornell is better but Layne is fire
Dio NEEDS to be here.
i believe the 80s was the best decade for rock vocalists: david lee roth, sammy hagar, joe elliott, steve perry, axl rose, david coverdale, klaus meine, billy squier, etc
Freddie, my dear, i miss you everyday
+) i love Sting's voice, i love it
Freddie Mercury might be one of my favorite people in the world.
nice
Top 3 for me:
1- Freddie Mercury
2- Jon Bon Jovi
3- Genne Simons
Hard disagree. Gene and JBJ wish they were as talented as Freddie.
Really , no chester bennington
Yes. Man, I LOVE linkin park. But I understand that Ches is Not top 20. There is a lot of singers better than him
@@coldkroll7903 really
Ljtteraly thought the same
I was going to comment this but you already did
Not every great vocalist can make top 20- it’s so subjective - I love Thom Yorke and Bono’s voices and personally would’ve put them higher but it’s not my list . I love Chris Cornell and was pleasantly surprised to see him there
What about Dave Gahan from Depeche Mode? I like Radiohead, but I'd replace Thom Yorke with Dave - his voice is pure gold
Gonna pretend billy joel and jeff Buckley are in this
Freddie deserves #1 but personally plant is my favorite.
Elvis in his own category , then Plant first who fashioned himself after Elvis , the Freddie, then Axl, Tyler , etc
Brad Delp had the voice that actually made you wonder how someone could possibly sing like that!!
No Layne or Maynard?
Yessss, freddie mercury is best singer of all time, i love you forever king mercury😍❤❤
I'm just glad some of my favorite singers are here. I would've added Janis Joplin, but great list
It’s the top 20 male vocalists.
Micheal hutchence from INXS should be on here. INXS are criminally under rated outside of Australia
I cannot believe you didn’t include Steve Perry on that list 🤯
I think you could make the case that Eddie Vedder and David Bowie should have been in the top three. They both showed that they could do more than just belt.
delp will always be my favorite
Prince... Thank U Prince 4 PURPLE RAIN.
John Lennon and Elvis is so underrated
In what universe?😂
@@atomicblonde966 In this video.
@@user-Tlqkf Bowie and Axl as well
Nah, these ''list making'' clowns want clicks, controversy, and comments. That's why this joker ignores Paul Rodgers and deliberately gives number one to anyone but The King of them all. You must be very young (just saying!) to type the incomprehensible and patently false statement the Elvis and John Lennon are so underrated. Lennon was one of the biggest superstars of the latter half of the 20th Century, and , good Lord, Elvis (46 years after his death) is STILL the biggest international, multimedia superstar in history!
Bono from 1987-1993 deserves top 10 even top 5
If we were looking only on vocal skills, list should look like :
1. Freddie
2. Brad Delp
3. Steven Tyler
4. Little Richard
5. Eric Burdon
6. Plant
7. Roger Daltrey
8. Chris Cornell
9. Bowie / Bono
10. Axl Rose
Elvis had FAR greater vocal skills than any of them. NONE of them could have pulled off An American Trilogy, It's Now or Never, Hound Dog, Jailhouse Rock, nor ANY of Elvis' gospel recordings. Axl supposedly has a 6 octave range, but doesn't have the vocal presence (depth) nor the enunciation, or emotional maturity to do, for example, Suspicious Minds. Tyler is a MASTER of extended technique, but again, lacks the power, depth, and emotional focus to defeat, say, Eric Burdon in his prime. Since you didn't even rank Elvis, I'm not going to waste my time mentioning Roy Orbison, who could out sing them all (except Elvis), clean into his (very) old age.
Van Morrison in it's too late to stop now, he is among my favourites
im glad they put bowie on here
5. Oli Skyes (BMTH)
4. James Hetfield (Metallica)
3. Chester Bennington (Linkin Park)
2. Chris Cornell (Soundgarden and Audioslave)
1. Robert Plant (Zeppelin)

4. Jim Morrison
3. Freddie Mercury
2. Robert Plant
1. Elvis Presley
Where's Matthew Bellamy???
I came here looking for this comment!
Dude where’s Elton John?
I would change:
2.Robert Planta
3. Steven Tyler
Why no Kurt Cobain
Because he is bad.
@@ok4_ first of all, you can have an opinion without insulting someone and saying its a fact. If you dont like his music, just say; I personnally dont enjoy his music!! Is it that hard to be respectful😤
Honestly, I would put him in heavy metal not rock. He didnt have a large range and he's not one of the first person you think of when you think of the best rock vocalist!
@@izzyn9000 He is not a vocalist, he is a POET. The voice is insignificant in general, and this is not my opinion. Sings poorly, but cool lyrics fix it.
Nirvana is grunge not Heavy Metal
Ronnie James Dio, Sebastian Bach, Steve Perry......
My personal favorite singer of all time is Geddy Lee.
I can’t believe that Roger Waters or David Gilmore didn’t make it
Top 20 Most liked rock songs all time please
How about a top 3 Performers! Here is mine...
1. Steven Tyler
2. Freddie Mercury
3. Mick Jagger
Where I'd Bruce Springsteen
All of the beach boys should here
Brad delp and eric burdon on here is fantastic
Anything from:
Miljenko Matijevic
Dino Jelusick
Cornell should make top 3 in any male rock vocalist list imo.
Also, should have used a peak Soundgarden iso vocal for him, rather than a far past his prime Audioslave vocals. (Which were still great, just not an example of his best)
Why is Axl so low???
Also, George Harrison is a criminally underrated singer.
Yesss Freddie for number one.
Brad Delp is amazing!!
The Lizard King is imo the best
But the Lizard King was a life long, obsessive Elvis fan, and would not have agreed with you.
You forget a few like Freddie Mercury, Joe Cocker, Steve Perry etc
Where's Phil Collins?
I think Rory Gallagher should be on this list....criminally underrated!!!!!!!
Yep, and where is James Dewar who sang for Trower? Damn, where is Hendrix?? And leaving out Cobain is RIDICULOUS.
@@meetontheledge1380 Totally agree......🎸🎸🎸🎸
Ian Giĺlan isn't on the list! WHY???????❤💋
And Ian Gillan, David Coverdale, Glenn Hughes, Ronnie James Dio!!!
I never understand how Ian Gillan is missed from so many of these lists
Where’s Kurt cobain and where is bon jovi
Where is Ringo
Well, ''you know it don't come easy''!
"20.- Bono" *closes video*
Where is kurt cobain
That’s I’m sayin
What I’m saying
Definitely doesnt have the best vocal, but he's still talented🙌🏾
@@izzyn9000 I personally think he’s ok.Objectively,he’s ok.As a highly educated persona, I’ve never understood half the crap he was singing. His lyrics are really questionable.Never had a huge vocal range such as Axl,Freddie,J.Bon Jovi,McCartney etc. but had a soul and was very influential. His voice was good for what he was doing but overall a decent vocalist.
Cobain never have good vocal. He is overrated by his death
Kurt?
YESSSSS FREDDIE👑❤ well deserved🙌🏾
•I'm glad to see Steven Tyler getting the recognition he deserves❤
•Isnt it amazing that 2 members (John Lennon, Paul McCartney) of the same band are on that list, that how iconic the BEATLES are!👑🔥But honestly I think John was a better vocalist that Paul, he has such a powerful voice (listen to DONT LET ME DOWN-THE BEATLES)
Paul has a stronger voice, listen to Helter Skelter.
Listen to Oh! Darling, Helter Skelter, Monkberry Moon Delight, Maybe I’m Amazed. Paul has such a wonderful and strong voice.
Bruce Springsteen and Bryan Adams missing
Agreed
Dio needs to be here
John Lennon must be higher
Layne Staley belongs at least on the bottom
this list is a joke. no layne staley, no kurt cobain and eddie veddar is ranked higher than axl rose.

Where the fuck is Ozzy Osbourne
Replace Bono with Bon Scott and the list would be better!
You miss me!:(
1. David Bowie
Kurt cobain?????
Mick deserves it
No. H wasn’t hard rock singer at all . No power compared to Freddie , plant , Axl , Tyler
Thom Yorke has my favorite voice ever
I always liked John Lennon vocal over Paul McCartney although Paul is great and technically a better singer!
Elvis had such an amazing distinct voice for sure!
Freddie is the GOAT of course!
Steven Pêrry Take me Beer
Which is the song that accompanied Brad Delp and David Bowie
Brad is singing Peace of mind..
How do you not have Paul Rogers on this list?
By the same lack of taste that has Elvis Presley at #9, and leaves out Orbison! Rodgers is, hands down, the greatest Hard Rock vocalist this side of Elvis Presley.
Robert plant Mick Jagger Freddie mercury
Jagger, Plant, Mercury, Jim morison.
Freedie Mercury is the best singer of all time
Not according to billions of Elvis Presley fans. Mercury would be the first to tell you this.
No is better than Dio, Franco Corelli and Del Monaco in opera in terms of power, control, technique proficiency and naturall consistency.
