Angel should've definitely been one of the mythics that could branch into Devil. Would've worked better than choosing Azata and failing to uphold that title in every aspect until you sign away your soul and butcher your hippie followers. Going from a paladin of Iomedae, into angel, into devil and then turning Galfery would've been awesome.
Shame Galfrey didn't became a Devil exclusive companion. Really wished she would wind up with an alternate class build, complete with a new portrait to reflect her fall-from-grace.
She can be your undead companion as a lich tho.

This week of content has convinced me to buy WOTR and all the DLC. I'm starting it tonight!
Sad that they didn't add another way to take the Mythic Class. Starting as Aeon means losing Camelia in Act V while starting as Azata means getting Aivu only to lose her in Act V. Either way you're gonna have to wait till Act V to play it.
Should have had another option for an LE player that doesn't wanna wait till Act V to get the Mythic Class...
Losing camelia as a lawful evil character actually makes perfect sense
There is always a price to be paid when dealing with devils
Camellia is possibly the biggest liability for a Lawful Evil Knight Commander. She acts all prim and proper but in truth she's batshit insane. All the other 'chaotic' companions on the other hand can just be dealt with, put up with or manipulated to suit your needs, but Camellia is just crazy.

I'm upset you can only access Devil through Azata or Aeon. I think Angel should offer the opportunity as well.
Yeah, or Demon, it would really make more sense than Azata of all damn Paths

Azata's are Chaotic Good/Neutral. Makes no sense that they would turn Devil. Ugh guess I'll go Lich for my Lawful Evil run
The GD thing is not a rumor anymore - on the stream before "dance of the mask" dlc release devs said they will expand on the GD in (probably the last) big free update but how much will depends on the players respons to the last dlc. (they even said that positive steam review and people mentioning devil mp etc. can affect how much they are allowed to add) Personally I wouldn't expect much - any free content they would add require money and people they could be spend on pathfinder crpg 3, starfinder or rogue trader 2 instead.

That location that is available for non-Devil characters should have been fixed as of patch 2.3.1 (15th of June). If it is not for you, better report it to Owlcat games, Morti. :)

My first playthrough i ended up going devil sort of by accident 😂... I went Aeon but when I realized I "failed" the Aeon path and saw how cool Mephistopheles looked, I just went for it.
While it wasn't that cool in general, I loved the ending I got.. sick ass ending

Man mort, you always provide such clear cut, well done content. And so rapidly that its wild. I may never end up trying this mythic path. Hell, I may never truly finish the game given my personal propensity for character hopping. But I'm always happy to get more content from you.

I love this so much, I hate "evil" when it's just "I want to kill everyone just because" this.... manipulative, secret evil is what makes evil playthru interesting and fun
Gold dragon revisions would be sick for sure. I would prefer some more revisions to the lich mythic path, not necessarily the story or powers but more so dialogue and interactions with characters.
Well, seeing as GD is considered to be the least interesting, both mechanically and narrative-wise, here's hoping! Now, all they have to do is make all the rest of the gimmicks (especially archetypes and Prestige Classes) a bit less pitiful.
One other thing to note is that they dont respec Galfrey in the fights, with the angels or at Threshold. In both she is still a paladin of Iomedae.

There wasn't originally, it was added when they updated the inventory with stuff like the search function/markers for scrolls you could learn etc I believe
Played all the paths - glad Devil got some more content. While it is late in the cycle for it is very needed.
I actually hold a similar opinion to you on the matter in relation to Galfrey joining you as part of the overall result of corrupting her. The condition of romancing her on top playing a good/lawful Path would have fallen in nicely for her alongside the fact you can rez for a Lich path.
That said, she as a character or rather her build more accurately, is not that good, as such it would be mostly for the flavor of it.
Don't know that I'll ever try the Devil mythic pass, but its fun to see this edition. I'd like to see a Gold Dragon expansion.

Theme wise I like the Devil Mythic path a lot, although it unlocks very very late indeed in the game. This extra quest sounds as an excellent addition though. Thanks for sharing!
Just did this quest today, it felt a bit rushed in terms of how fast the Queen goes from Heaven to Hell. But I like the idea.
The biggest problem with the Devil path is the fact that in order to get it you have to screw your original path completely. It is a bit more realistic for Aeon, as I did it the first time just naturally, but for Azata... oh boy, you have to be the worst possible Azata in history to get Mephistopheles to offer you a deal. To the point you should ask yourself, why did I pick this path, maybe it's better to reload an old save and go with something different.

I played as Devil on my first playthrough shortly after launch. I realy liked the theme of the MP but was quite underwhelmed after seeing what the other paths got to play with.
But at this point i might as well give it another go
Not gonna lie, I'm not one to deviate from the comically high-road when it's present, but the presence of alternatives gives value to the decisions being made.

Didn’t see how to trigger this until after I finished Iz and killed Galfrey. Welp time to reload my last non quicksave back in act 4. Learn from my misery kids, don’t over rely on quick saves.
oh wow, i stopped by devil playthru halfway thru a couple years ago cuz i heard it wasnt very satisfying. glad to hear theres a new quest.
most of these paths i would never take so watching video of their craft gives me a chance to appreciate them without delving into them
Found this quest on the world map during a lich run pre-Iz. Was pretty lost on why some demons were talking to me and what was going on

possible vid idea. build guide for through the ashes, and lord of nothing default party.
I just started "through the ashes", and noticed, I couldn't find any build suggests for the default mercs. just "optimal parties" with custom mercs.
default mercs are, tower shield spec fighter, greatsword spec slayer ranger, and sun/good domain cleric.
the slayer and cleric are pretty easy to build... but I goofed trying to make the tower shield spec fighter useful. probably best to just ignore tower shield spec in hindsight. bardiche, long spear, glaive, or bow is probably a solid option. possibly dw/bash with just a heavy shield instead of tower shield. to make things worse, the char starts with a guard background and +1 to shortsword. which is piercing, and less useful versus all the skels/zombies with are dr5, except bludgeoning or slashing respectively.. I think maybe taking her dex, finesse, shortsword, possibly into dw bash.. but thats so many feats and slow to come online.

I don't think I'll get to devil any time soon. I don't like Aeon that much, and just can't get myself to do what needs to be done from Azata.
I had planned on doing another run with Devil, but when planning out my build I could find no reason from a gameplay perspective to take Devil over the last few levels of Azata or Aeon. Not only that, but it seems like all they have awful party buffs and a couple decent spells, meaning doing a martial playthrough (which was my plan with Monk -> Aeon -> Devil), is pointless.

Gold dragon is such a cool idea, but the class is weak and there is no content. The lategame MP were a cool idea, but obviously they ran out of time and kinda dropped the ball on it. Nice to see them fleshing it out a bit.

Maybe lawyers are just devils?
They're basically evil rules lawyers, yeah. They're the people who will gladly loophole, leonine contract, entrapment, and poison pill you to death (possibly literally) then say it's your fault for not reading the fine print. (While Abadar in turn represents the actual ethical lawyers.)
I couldn't play this path. I'll try out an evil route and go on a slaughter fest for fun, sure. But I just can't bring myself to gaslight characters I enjoy lol

You still unlock Devil far too late. The new quest is nice, but if the main appeal is to get corrupt her, well, other paths can still get rid of her.
And if you want to be evil, why would we pick Devil? Demon and Lich unlock much much earlier and are more involved by far.
It feels like it's a path for like the 8th playthrough and most people won't play it more than once. Data supports that.

You showed your Mythic Path screen as a devil and you still had enforcing gaze.

I didn't try but I would assume the contract she signs likely would give it back anyway

Yes. Any path except for Legend and Swarm can.
I thought she would become a companion, I'm a bit disapointed now.

In both Swarm and Demon you're the usurper.
Tbh I would rather they fix Gold Dragon than adding new content for Devil but cool, no complaints from me. Devil itself is a pretty barebone and uninteresting path that has very few content, and the fact you can only get it in Act 5... I would rather play Demon than Devil tbh, but atm ALL of them are more interesting than Gold Dragon including Swarm which is a pretty mediocre MP in the first place.

and yet you still can't choose no path in a game about extreme levels of choice.
You can choose Legend at the start of Act 5 which is the no path option. Narrative wouldn't make any sense if you did it any other way.
Question anyone. what settings need to be changed for PFWOTR to play like RT or BG3 combat wise? I'm not interested in real-time with pause.
I think T kry should do it. Otherwise it's in bottom left corner a rectangle icon.
activate turn based mode by clicking on the sand clock icon on bottom left
This game is both rtwp and turnbased, you dont even have to select which one when you start a game, you can transition between them even in the middle of combat if you wanted. When the game released sometimes characters would bug out and not move on their turn and youd need to do this to get things moving again, idk if this is fixed havent played in probs 1 1/2 years.
Though this game is "meant" to be played rtwp, i never have outside if a few instances. Theres no ai editor so rtwp is imo a bloody shit show with everyone running around like chickens with their head cutoff. Only useful in the absolute lowest stakes trash fight to save time.
Theres a button on screen and a keybind that can switch between these 2 modes.
