    Nice one John. Good to see some original thought being put in to festive decorations in these trying times full of generic LED stuff from eBay. Cheers!

    This is so helpful!! I have been searching methods of soldering EL wire to EL wire. I am not familiar with AC so I didn't know if that is possible. Thank you.

    I made the guitar neck for this system, but there are noises induced by the controller for the pickups, how do I solve this problem?

    I saw a CZcams video titled LED vinyl depicting led's mounted in the middle of the letters following the shape. What do you think of this?

    EL Wire, sounds sort of Spanish. El Wiro.

    Does the EL wire come in larger outside diameters?

    • @jwflame
      @jwflame  Před 7 lety

      Not that I have seen. You can get flat EL panels in various shapes and sizes.

      I need to light up the lettering on a banner. I don't know wether to trace the letters with EL, use individual blinking LED bulbs in the middle of the letters or some other method. I need it to be visible from a distance by motorists and rugged enough to be taken down and placed into position daily and as inexpensive as possible. Any advice?

    • @jwflame
      @jwflame  Před 7 lety +1

      EL wire will not be bright enough. LED tape would be the easiest choice for lettering.

    So more importantly, what model is the Organ? I am guessing its a Hammond with the drawbars, but can't work out the model.

    • @jwflame
      @jwflame  Před 7 lety +2

      M102, which is functionally identical to all other M100 series, the 02 and other numbers just indicate different styles of cabinet. Made in 1965, and currently requires some minor repairs.

      Nice, I'm more of a theatre organ style fan than one, but can appreciate them none the less.

      LOL, you reminded me of an episode of "Keeping Up appearances " when Hyacinth and Richard were supposed to pick up "The commodore" at the rail station. and she was standing on the platform belting out "OH Danny Boy" and a passerby put a coin in Richard's hat.
      I miss that show we used to get it on PBS here in the US

    Hey, Mr John !! Very interesting your work as well as welding process. Can you estimate how many meters each module can feed from this wire, without the loss of efficiency? Again, congratulations on the video. Greetings from Brazil.

    • @jwflame
      @jwflame  Před 5 lety +1

      10 metres is about the limit for the modules in the video.
