Curse of La Llorona - Making the Worst Horror Film of All Time | Anatomy Of A Failure
Vložit
- čas přidán 1. 08. 2019
- Long story short, I randomly saw The Curse of La Llorona -- the newest entry to James Wan's Conjuring Franchise -- and it pissed me off to the point of having to make a video on it. Calling something "worst of all time" is always a lot, but if there is a movie that truly deserves the title, it might be this Weeping Woman one. So, in today's family friendly pg expensive house episode of Anatomy of a Failure, let's see what La Llorona does to pull that off.
Yes, I know Avengers Endgame is out -- a video on that coming next time.

@@garybrown2039 you're breaking my heart
I think the worst part of this movie is that it treats La Llorona as a mindless demon zombie that's hungry for flesh while in the story she is more of an eternally guilty spirit. La Llorona's main concern isn't to kill anybody, she is just in an eternal grief she just can't get over with.
It is true, it is also in The legend of La LIorona. I guess the film Makers haven't seen the legend
Yeah
Yeah, it's pretty sad, they could have made a much better film if they had followed the actual legend
@@LuisSierra42 there’s an amazing Spanish movie with the same name but it’s WAY better. Like a genuinely great horror drama, but compared to this shit heap it’s the greatest film ever made
That's what i was thinking. I feel like the film makers focused more on how La Llorona's scary physical appearance would look like and the amount of jumpscares. But after knowing about the original story, I just feel pity for her. A woman who married a rich man and have two kids, only to be cheated on by her own husband. And in a fit of rage, drowned her two kids and regrets it and drowns herself too. But because she committed two of the worst sins, she is forced to roam around the land of the living, wailing in grief, searching for her two kids.
Her main goal wasn't to kill, it was to find her kids.
From what I know, if you come across La Llorona or heard her cries, you better run. If you turn around to face her, and she realized you're not one of her kids, she will drown you out of irritation and frustration, spending eons trying to find her own kids and realizing she never succeeded.
When I first saw the movie's trailer, I didn't like it. I didn't like how the trailer made it look like a generic ghost story.

Yeah, be sure to put it on the fridge with magnets so the kids get used to chalk lines drenched in dark stains.
Why did the mother bring her kids to a crime scene? Okay, she's a single mom but doesn't have a family member, friend or neighbor to watch her kids? If she was already out driving at night with the kids after they came back from camping or something, and she happened on her way to the crime scene with the two dead boys, then I can buy that. I don't see why parents would bring their children to a crime scene.

This is a concept I would like to see on a horror/suspense movie, although I'm not a fan of the genre: an enemy/threat that isn't a sobrenatural entity, neither an alien, or something of the type, but instead is something real, normal and, sometimes, even present on our lives, but ignored. Still, the movie builds an atmosphere that makes the watchers to think that there is something supernatural happening there.

When you showed the Crucifix Stab Scene i was like, This movie needs to be relabeled the Curse of La Dumb and Dumber...
And you need go be renamed the crapman
☝💪🔥🔥🔥🚒🚑⚰
I always wonder... If in dumb horrors cros can stop any monster can I just hang cross on my doors, buy myself one on necklace and I will be 100% immune?
-Before watching: The worst horror film of all time? That's a tall order, man.
-After watching: Oh. Oh...
I actually really enjoyed this movie. It's one of the best horror films of the 2010's in my opinion.
D J What did you enjoyed exactly?
8:45 - and so the jump-laugh was invented
They should make a movie "La Chancla!" Scary!
Issou
your accent adds such a stunning musicality to your commentary, i love it! Keep it up
Filmetnto; "The boy is trying to get the doll for her sister."
Wait, I'm so confused. Is the boy a girl?
That's not what he said though. He was making a comment of how the tension would be better served if the brother were retrieving the doll rather than the sister. It would an act of heroism.
You thought that the lady going to her job in the middle of the night was dumb, but not her actually bringing her children to a crime scene in the middle of the night when they were already fast asleep? 😂😂 Or how she refused to tell anyone what was going on? 😂😂 Or how she was just the worst mom ever 😂😂
"I'll mark your kid RIGHT BY THIS POOL, but not to drown her, I-I need both for...that"
"la llorouna" I lost it. And I'm only 3 secconds in.
the intro for this video was pretty golden.
LA YORO UNA haha what a lame pronunciation
La io rown a
I really love this narrator, both his accent & his comments mix perfectly.Hilarious :)
Another brilliant vid - The Nun suffers the same issues as this movie - in fact, the whole Conduring universe, because they never explain (or ringfence, at least) the evil being's abilities.
Wait..... WAIT! You’re telling me that you’re from the fictional country created for the movie the Terminal??
He from finland
@@dansku6627 Is it his accent? I don't know the differences of accents between Nordic countries... I always thought he was from Sweden lmao
Yep i’m Swedish, our accents are the same thing. But finnish goes more at the russian side..
@@lastremainsoftheromanpire I'm russian, Filmento sounds nothing like russian accent. How he pronounces Кирилл while talking about Bourne Supremacy in one of the other videos is unnatural for a native speaker, the [р] is too spelled out and so are the vowels. Filmento might be a slavic, but he's not russian
I New he was finnish he sounds like the dudesons
Every time Filmento mentions Krakozhia, Tom Hanks smiles.
Ahh, this brings me joy
i had to look it up to make sure its not a real place
I loved that freaking movie. Do you think Filmento will talk about it???
This was recommended during the La llorona unit in my Spanish class. I can't think of more perfect timing.
Don't you just fucking love it when it's 2:57 AM and your browsing CZcams but suddenly this thumbnail shows up and it give syou goosebumps cuz you weren't expecting it.
When I saw her get stabbed I literally said outloud "What!?"
:(
Mourning ghosts are "killed" like that, I guess 🤔🤔😂😂 WTF!!??
I love how he is treating the fixes like it's hard when if he's able to come up with it then it should be easy
Love the videos keep 'em comin'
8:31 - 8:47 has got to be some of the best/most hilarious editing in youtube history! Too funny, dude!!!
IKR HAHAHA that's genuinely how that moment in the movie felt tho.
I'm pretty sure this movie is actually just a prequel/intro for Tuco Salamanca. Prior to becoming a drug kingpin, he was a priest. Then this shit happens, he discovers Methamphetamine and moves to the ABQ.
LOL
I WAS HOPING SOMEONE WOULD MAKE THAT JOKE YOU SIR ARE A HERO
AHH!!! TIGHT TIGHT TIGHT YEAH!!!
Tuco
@@landowner75 Well shit, I knew that was his name, and didn't bother proofreading. Shame on me. Anyway, good catch!
6:31 I’ve watched that part a bunch of times 🤣🤣🤣🤣
She was like weeeeeeee lol i wasnt expecting that.
"Krakozhia". Nice Terminal reference. And here I thought you were from Parador
I love how low key mad and insulted you are at this movie
Yeah he's cringe
@@ezekiel440 Do you just go around posting negative replies everywhere? What's the point lmao
@@ezekiel440 yea you're cringe
I gotta say, one of the most impressive things about your videos is the way you have mastered the subtle nuances of a language which is clearly not your first language. Idioms, inflections and contextual phrases all used perfectly and with a sly wit that many ESL speakers don't have or are unable to convey because of language limitations. Nicely done.
Every video I watch of Filmento briefly mentioning his home country of Krakozhia, I never realized it was a fictional country this whole time! Aparently it's from the movie The Terminal. So now I think Filmento is an undercover agent with a classified location and a secret life we don't know about
"With the mortgages at an all time low"
"Okay Ill be right there"
i died
Krakozhia is such a beautiful country though despite its troubled past.
truly
