They will still keep Ash on the show no matter what they do. The Pokemon Company knows that if they just took Ash off of the show ratings will drop and they don't want that to happened. Its pretty complicated situation for both the company and fans. Its like you want to have a proper conclusion with Ash since he's been around so long and its like how will he finally become a Pokemon Master. Like we know what he has achieved goals in the past like becoming a Battle Frontier Brain but he declined that, then we won the Alola league which still wasn't enough for him. Then finally Ash wants to battle Leon because he's the world champion.
There are so many questions of what would happen if Ash either wins or loses against Leon. He really has to question why does he want to become a Pokemon Master and what will he do next? Its something that Alder from the Unova region asked him "If you become Champion then what are you going to do next" Its a question Ash has struggled with throughout the series and I think there come a time where he will have to figure that out. So whatever the writers decided to do with Ash we will just have to wait and see what happens going forward.
The best solution for TPC to solve this problem is basically to pull a Digimon Adventure 2020, but with Pokemon. In other words, a total reboot.
@@DuelmasterX3 they kinda already did that with the movies
This aged badly

Yay! Longer Gonge videos 👏🏽
I took your review of my channel to heart😂
Hi
When I initially heard that Ash's goal was to fight Leon, the world's strongest trainer, I was very interested.
My mind has been wandering recently with a lot of ways they could frame the climax of this series, but a lot of my ideas made me realize most of them have been done before, we already got an arc about Ash getting so focused on winning that he ignores the little things, and we've already had a conflict where Ash doesn't know what to do after finally winning, so I don't really know where they can go, from here.
Its just going to be the typical Ash loses a tournament, goes back home, finds out what the next region is, and then goes on yet another Journey. I mean what else is there for Ash to do? We've seen this so often that I feel like there needs to be a conclusion to his character if and only if they decide to let him go from the show. A Reboot does sound like a good idea, but its risky because its like do you want to redo the Pokemon series as a whole or continue with the same character that has been around for so long?
First of all Ash said that winning this competition is not enough to be a Pokèmon Master ... so even if he wins and becomes the World Champion he won't be a Pokèmon Master yet . He might win this since although there was several regional Pokèmon Leagues and even if Ash lost one there was another one where he could compete in , the world championships are a unique competiton , something that Ash must win in order to make a big step towards his dream and making him lose to do it again in another series seems ripetitive. Also after Ash lost the Kalos League the complaints were so high that the writers learned their lesson and i don't think Ash is gonna lose again anytime soon , i think he's gonna win this and then continue with something else on his quest to become a master!
Badly aged
@@nathanwhitehead6141 dammit I forgot I posted this comment
I don't regret them keeping Ash around since we got an amazing series and movies as well. But for one all good things have to come to an end and two the way I view Journeys as a final goodbye for Ash like a tribute to all the things he has done in his journey.Like of course I'm going to be sad because it's Ash,he has been mine and a lot of people's childhood icon but I feel like it's time to pass the torch to someone else.
Really Good Video :)
Pokemon Journeys will hopefully evolve the Series
Ash is such an icon and marketable character that I don't see him leaving the protagonist spot.
The title of Pokemon Master never really mattered in a objective sense, like, what exactly it is. It clearly exists, otherwise someone over the years would've told Ash it isn't an actual thing, so it's pretty clear Ash didn't make it up. But that really doesn't matter, because only Ash knows what being a Pokémon Master means to him. Only he knows when he gets there, and only he knows when he stops. And something tells me he won't ever want to stop, and so maybe he'll never consider himself one. Maybe he already is one in an objective sense, I mean, Jesus, when you take into account all he's been through and accomplished, it's hard to say he ISN'T a Pokémon Master, but again, what we think doesn't matter, only what Ash thinks. It's probably why this goal was so perfect for a character who the anime won't ever be able to let go. It can keep going forever, or end as soon as they want.
Maybe if he starts a new dream in the future, he could try for Pokemon Coordinator, that would be interesting to see again
Honestly I want Ash to finally beat Alain. It's been over 5 years and Ash has Mega evolution now. Surely they could bring him back. Right?
I hope they keep the anime going after our boi Ash is gone
Pull the Trigger and give us Ash Pikachu for a whole series. To become a Pokémon Master, one must truly understand the mind of a Pokémon.
Taken from episode 74 of the Indigo League anime.
"The contestants are competing to see which of them will rise to the rank of Pokemon Master."
The anime directly states that winning the league is what makes you a master.
Also from episode 13, Ash had the line "I want to become a Pokemon Master so my only goal is to make it to the league."
So you don't even have to become champion or beat the Elite Four to be a master. You only have to win the league tournament.
Who else wants lumiose trainer zac to do a world coronation series review
Ash leaving the series will feel... Different... The Pokemon anime will not and *never* be the same if Ash gets replaced. And with no confirmation of gen 9 yet, it does feel like Ash is leaving the anime, unless Pokemon Journeys is going to last for like 4 years just like DP. Personally, I don't want Ash to leave the series but once he becomes world champion, he won't have much else to do. Once gen 9 gets announced, it'll be easier to predict what they'll do with Ash. Though we'll just have to wait and see...
Cool video dude. Btw, i just found out your channel from the AlexCND community. Nice to meet you.
I never thought the writers would even try to dive deeper into Ash's goal of becomimg a Pokemon Master and what it would mean to him. This show has been going so long, I don't even think *they* thought about it much at all. Ash has had subtle changes and even small arcs in the anime, but his goal and general character stayed relatively the same. That's not a bad thing perse but just something I never expected to change. Well I guess now is as great a time as any since in terms of Ash's goal, both he and the writers have brought themselves to a brick wall. Win or lose to Leon, what do you do with the now strongest or second strongest trainer in the world, there's not much higher you can go and not much more you can stretch the vague meaning of Pokemon Master.
This I suppose left them with 2 options. New protagonist or Ash getting a different more melleable goal. While option 1 sounds more interesting, it doesn't seem possible even with how much evidence there could be to this series being Ash's last. Ash is known worldwide, he's been here for nearly a quarter of a century. A new protagonist will bring them all the way back to square 1 in terms of everything, including watchers. We say we want something new for the anime but do we really. I know if Ash left, it would take me time to adjust. Some people might just drop it because Ash is just that familiar.
So they're ultimately left with option 2 which is to finally give a meaning (at least to Ash) on what it truly means to be a Pokemon Master. Something they can use to keep him around for the next quarter of a century. Now it might sound pretty dumb for us to get an explanation and change now but 1. This is Journeys where predictions and logic go to die (we got Pikachu's backstory as episode 1), 2. It might be interesting to see what Ash truly thinks being a Pokemon Master means and 3. It's kinda necessary now since, once again, we're at a brick wall here.
Needless to say I'm very interested to see development in Ash and Leon in the coming months and am now leaning more to the side of "yeah, Ash is never leaving, is he?"
I think there's a whole meaning about being a Pokémon Master
Like maybe it's not about being the strongest or how many battles you won or how many Pokémon you caught
This man never fails to put a smile on my face
I loved Pokemon since I was 8, and I hope Ash is never replaced, specially if they want Goh to be his replacement
You know; I would want a new protagonist. Maybe one that was inspired by Ash as a child, seeing him on tv. It’d be like Ash, but this kid would have to learn to find his own grove despite wanting to mimic Ash. This way, Ash can be more relevant, and perhaps take on a mentor role here and there.
I don't know how long Pokemon Journeys will be running for because it seems that they are still stuck in the Sword and Shield era. Pretty soon they will have to switch over to 9th Generation and maybe then that will be the last time we will see Ash. For all we know they maybe thinking about doing a complete reboot of the series with a new character.
THEY CAN REMAKE THE ENTIRE POKEMON SERIES IN NEW ANIMATION STYLE. That could be epic
What , I can't beleive this how good you explain all about Pokemon 👏I am a fan of you bro 👍
Someday Ash will have to pass the torch
Ash's kid
when i first watched pokemon i was like "what is a pokemon master
Poor ash, a beaten up character, I wanted to see him become powerful ngl
That question is so tough to answer bro!!! Man, there’s gotta be so much more mate!!! Hahaha
What if we get a new main character in the end of their series we get a cameo from ash that shows even though we have a new main character ash will be in the background still on his adventure.
Good video. Very interesting
I think what would be interesting
If Ash were to beat Leon then maybe
He would try some new stuff like fully compete in contest or showcases
Or do something else cause Ash has stated being a Pokemon Master is much more
Then being the worlds strongest trainer and also Ash has also said he wants to meet
Every Pokémon as well so yeah his journey probably won’t end anytime soon
Is been a minute since I watche One of your videos 8/10
I want like a new fan series of like someone reincarnating to the pokemon world and see his/her way of becoming stronger or see how they would live in that world. and ofc theres some things that someone would do differently if they have never heard of pokemon and someone who has played all the games to 100% and is a god of making combos with pokemon moves. Tho it would be interesting i dont think anyone is going to make that also the story kinda depends on who makes it. I would start the story by getting a starter pokemon and catching caterpie, weedle, pidgey and rattata or other kind of starter pokemon and train them. eventually they evolve then i would try to build a place where i can keep my pokemon that i dont need for my adventures and catch stronger and stronger pokemon while having my weaker pokemon at the house and start catching legendary pokemon starting with latios and latias (my fav pokemon) and maybe other legendary pokemon. But still i want a series like that.
Great vid
I like to have Ash's kids be new protagonists for the next series like in the Naruto spin off series Brouto
A deeper meaning to why ash is fighting along side his Pokémon could make an interesting plot twist :P though….how he is doing things now is already inspiring for me. Ash and his Pokémon are so tough and I just really like that about them. I am sensitive and cry over the littlest things, so Pokémon can be a bit of a fresh air breath in general for me. I am not sure if Ash should go a deeper route or not…..though, the very idea is interesting.
I thought he was already a Pokemon Master when he beat the Pokemon league in the SM anime
Good video but either way ash aint leaving. Not just imo but it wouldnt be the same and it would kinda lose viewers plus ash did say beating leon is one step closer and still wants to travel
Every time a series tries to replace iconic characters it get worse make you want too miss the old characters
we'll so ash himself said that defeating Leon will be one step closer to his dream(aka becoming a pokemon master) so i dont think it is time for ash to leave "yet"
Edit: if ash leaves I would like ash to meet serena and help her in making people smile or the next protagonist to be bonnie she was the only one with no goals in pokemon xy I would like to see what she does.
If they want to progress Ash's character into something more complex, the best way they can do that is by making Ash older(only need to go between 5-8 years maybe) which would remove any inherent taboo subjects that come with writing a 10-year-old character. Whatever they do, Ash will be there for as long as the anime goes on and the anime will go on for as long as The GameFreak keeps making new Pokemon and new Pokemon core games.
There is still lots of mysteries to be solved in pokemon
Welp if he becomes one the anime ends so they can focus os Red, fucking become one already ash
Its imo just sad that the battles aren’t that epic anymore as back then
He’s still got a distance to go
Will ash catch more Pokemon in this Pokemon master Series i would love to see ash catch some pokemons agian lr get some of the Old ones back
Let it be Pokemon trainer Ethan from Pokemon gold and silver. in the remake generation 2. in the Johto region
Honestly after this they could just go back to the other regions with new protags with missing a beat. Then just have ash cameo every once in awhile
Yeah potentially
A new season why ASH be a Pokemon marster
What if ash becomes world champion and then a new protagonist tries to stop him
I just realized how comically bad the lip syncing is for the original series lol
I think ash will still remain as the main charecter cuz he has to find and battle his father and. plus we know that ash is kinda related to the aura gurdian but dose'nt know, that he is related to the aura gurdian
How ash gonna battle his father when delia never said his father name in episode 2 of original series because of that so many pokemon fans think ash father is one of this three professor oak silver from pokemon chronicles or giovanni
Its going to be hard to replace Ash if they decide to let him go.
I remember when they drop an episode about the mystery dungeon game. The fact that this episode ever comes out showed me the endless journey the Pokémon franchise make all the time. Ash is not a person he is a symbol of a little naive kid make the journey once again in the Pokémon universe. I understand cause i played a lot of new generations. But After x/y the games seem boring to me.
If Ash is replaced with Goh m done with pokemon
Heck no! Winning one league does not make one a Pokemon master.
fitting title given he is in Pokemon Mastersex lol
Wait what how
Champion? Yeah I get that, it was a long time coming.
But, Pokémon... _master??_
I don't want ash to be change
In all honesty, they need to mature Ash to 21, where can he have some of the responsibilities of going to college and getting a degree while trying to find a right balance as a Kanto representative or Galar champion. Plus, we could age up Misty, Serena, Brock and Gary as well for a final season for Ash with another supporting ensemble - an older Max/Bonnie + one of Brock’s siblings take over as a new trio
But the problem ash is already mature characters act inconsistent with their age
Sounds like I didn’t miss anything then , I stopped watching in season 7 and now in 2022 started wondering if he ever won a league. Once I saw he lost in hoenn I shut the videos off 😂

Not just Ash the whole plot theme n all needs to change but I guess Pokemon ain't bout that life, kinda like adventure time maybe i don't really know 😅
PS I'm just sayin I feel like I used to really enjoy watching Pokemon as a kid but now it's as dull as a book on the closet
I'm so behind on the show. Part of me feels unmotivated to watch it. Never watched Pokemon in Japanese so maybe that's why?
Pokemon Master Bator! 😆
I don't think people want Pokémon to ever end. For an old gen 1 fan, meaning a person who watch the original anime before school every morning. We want Ash to finally be able to (Grow up), and if they want to keep Ash around have him be a mentor to a new generation. Like his children. Ash and Misty were supposed to have a daughter, when they were thinking of ending the series.
I think the best compromise is to introduce a new main protagonist but still feature Ash prominently in the show so they can put him in the marketing still. That way we can get a satisfying conclusion to Ash's journey and a fresh start without alienating old fans and while maintaining the brand.

Honestly? Despite how bittersweet it would be, I hope they retire Ash as a protagonist, to be honest. Or at least let the kid age a bit. It just feels like this series is the culmination of everything from before, bringing back all the old regions on a regular basis and giving him a really powerful team full of Pokémon fans have wanted him to have for years. I, personally, want so see him reunite with Greninja for at least an episode, and then this series has literally checked every box I wanted to see checked. Lucario and Dragonite, his first ghost type in. gengar, check. Meeting up with a ton of older characters and rematching them, check. Using gimmicks from previous regions to his advantage, check. While this series might not seem perfect, it honestly feels like a love letter to the fans.
I don’t like Goh
