- Its difficult to feel longing or missing someone you once loved so deeply. However, it is valid to feel this, and there are many healthy ways to channel that energy. Love is beautiful and worth honoring, even if it's from the past. If it matters to you, then it matters.

As a bleeding heart artist most of my life some of the most intense music I've created has been out of heartbreak and at grasping at an impermanent love. Some lyrics seem melodramatic looking back, after growing a little and gaining a detached appreciation of it. But I still wouldn't change it for the world. It's a time capsule into what emotions I felt. I also believe that everyone's an artist as well.

Thank you, I've been told that since my ex has moved on and in a new relationship that it's not worth my energy to still mourn the lost of our relationship.. it's been tough because I keep telling myself I need to be over it and pretended to me when I am still not.. I love him and will love him for however long.. I don't know
I appreciate your honesty and your feelings are valid. I too am in a similar boat with a guy I dated. If you feel they are deserving in your own heart honor them if that’s what’s best for you. But it’s kinda sucky when people around us can makes us feel pressured to just “get over it”, cuz its was a deep thing, it’s not as simple as rationalizing it..
These things take time and it’s okay to take your time with them
My ex also has moved on to a new relationship… and it’s sad how quickly she changed her mind, people also tell me she’s not worth my time and yada yada… and tbh I even agree with them, she was really horrible to me at the end of it all, makes me feel like a bum to still feel sad about it from time to time… but now I’m starting to realize that it’s not something I can control, I can’t even properly understand it.
As I feel it is as I learn from it. Cuz tbh it was a really deep thing for me, and that’s the thing! For us it was, it our feelings.
Why not allow ourselves to explore them? Instead of rushing to get over them

When it comes to first love or love in general, I personally think that love is created by many traits like patience, ambition, self-control, honesty, punctuality, accountability, intelligence (both mental and emotional), and respect. But it’s also made of hope, health, and overall confidence. I say confidence, because confidence, like love, is social, mental, emotional, and creative freedom. Yes, the kind of freedom people talk about and want. All comes from not only love and the experiences of it, but the confidence- building with all of the traits read above. Insecurity and fear is bondage. It’s okay to feel fear and insecurity, but it’s not okay to be controlled by it. Point is: You HAVE this confidence and security already, we all do. It’s just a matter of building it by putting yourself in different situations. Action and experience will strengthen your ability to challenge your love, confidence, and fears. Leading to my next point, don’t isolate yourself just because you’re anxious or scared. Just like isolating an anxious animal isn’t healthy, and doesn’t heal them. Same with humans. It’s not desperate to experiment with your experiences. It’s healthy. Again, the point is: You have confidence, love, and fear. Challenge them, experiment with them. :)

I was going through a breakup, and I could relate to this video in so many ways. Not sure if anyone else does this, but I've always made an effort to incorporate the positive traits I admire in them as a way to honor the love. And now, life just seems even fuller
