North Canterbury Cycle Club Wednesday evening ride in Ashley Forest

One of the clubs regular Wednesday evening mountain bike ride early Jan 2014 was to the Ashley forest riding the forest roads and on some of the single tracks the club has built/building.
Access to the private forest is by permit only and restricted to evenings and weekends. Some areas are closed and out of bounds for recreational permit holders. Regular weekly emails are send out to permit holders with times excess is allowed which areas are closed to permit holders.

+kayden bourke Hi you can purchase the Forest permit from North Canterbury Cycle Club. www.sporty.co.nz/nccc Currently membership is $30 for individuals, $40 for couples, $50 for families. Forest permits are $5.00 and you can take up to 5 guest into the forest with 1 permit. Weekly email updates are sent to permit holders on Fridays by the club mtb captain on areas in the forest that are closed to recreational permit holders. Membership period runs from 1 August to 31 July the following year. The Permits expire on 31 August each year - allowing time for a new Permit to be issued after rejoining subs have been paid.
