I've heard Durian is really good when at optimal ripeness. The problem is that it goes from ripe to rotten in a couple of days. The reason most CZcamsrs hate it is because it has to be imported, which makes it really hard to hit that window.
Thats correct, when its optimal It tastes like banana and gym, really tasty
I actually prefer it a bit on the unripe side. The flesh isn't as creamy and mushy, also it cleanly comes of the seed
What about other durian products like the candy or creme wafers they say taste like sewage?
@@The_Crucible714 I think those product use mostly overripe ones ,cause there are many durians in fruit season you can't sell all of them and the fruit will rot .People usually make dessert out of it. So those products usually have a super fowl smell.

@@ders972 It has an overbearing scent that isn't particularly bad, just annoying to smell when it lingers in the kitchen.
@@ders972 Growing up it was never anything i paid mind to but after moving to a foreign country where the fruit isnt as common and saw how people reacted to it i began noticing the smell more but its still nothing that bothers me. Im not sure how true it is but i think i read somewhere that its genetic if someone is bothered by the smell of the fruit or not which is interesting if true.

That durian definitely looked off. I've had durian before, it didn't smell as bad as people say, and to me it tasted like someone mixed onions with mango and caramel. It was weird.
