  • Every once in awhile, I'm concerned with safety. This is one of those times. I'd rather not get rear ended if I can avoid it.

Just for future reference, a spring from a pen also works well in these applications! Great video!

I just purchased a 66 Coupe DeVille. I need to give it some TLC. Looking for those creators who work on these things.

I appreciate the video. While my (new to me) 1968 is probably a little different, I now have an idea of what I'm getting into. Thanks! I'm a new subscriber.

Dude, your videos rock! Owning a 65 Hardtop Sedan DeVille (same color) I am following closely. Hey, are the cornering lights working, too? Keep up the good work, man!

Hey thanks man! I really appreciate that. There just aren't many resources for these old Cadillac's, as I'm sure you know, so it's kinda learn as you go. My cornering lights are currently not working because the steering column has been replaced with an off the shelf unit, so there's no sensor or wire. I actually thinking about swapping them out to an amber bulb and hooking them up to the blinkers.

I know this video is old AF but would you happen to have a part number for those better bulbs?
Btw I love the content definitely helping me a lot with my 65 deville sedan

I have a 66 coupe deville and my front and rear passenger signal isn't working changed bulb and still nothing, I noticed that my bulbs are very loose , could this be why they aren't working or possibly a bad signal switch or wiring issue?

@@nickspagnoletti2015 easy way to check if you have a multimeter is to take the bulb out, set the meter to 20v dc, and connect one prong to hot side of the socket and the other to a good ground, probably the bumper. If you’re getting 12 volts with the switch on, then it’s a bulb or connection issue. If you’re not getting anything, then you’d have to look further up the line.
