Recently rewatched this video. Do you know if the summit restrictor kit would work in a holley 4010 600 cfm carb? Ive got one on my truck.
@@kevinwestmoreland2099 I googled “Holley 4010 diagram” and I don’t see the same restrictor indicated under the booster, so I would assume you couldn’t. You could pop it off and double check, though.
@deadwaitdesigns thanks for the response. It was said that summit changed a design feature before using this type. According to holley, the 4010 / 4011 didn't sell well since they didn't look like a traditional holley carb. I've also heard there was a flaw in the design when built by holley. I happen to like the design. Thanks again.

Fighting same issue. Thanks for info
It seems all the problems in your Caddy are related to non-original changes. Keep your Caddy original and you`ll love it!
Are there also restriction bleeds for the accelerator pump shot?
@@BPattB not sure. I’d have to look at the schematic. They have it online if you go to the product page. I was just focused on the idle circuit.

From the real home of the Ford Falcon (Australia) ..This is gorgeous ..You did very well . We had the Falcon from 1960 to 2016 over 24 different iterations before Ford Australia ceased ..We built about four million of them . I currently have my 23 year old AU ll Futura and my 2008 FG XR6 ...Look up Australian Falcons and you will see our love affair with one of Ford's great cars..
I have a 66 coupe deville and my front and rear passenger signal isn't working changed bulb and still nothing, I noticed that my bulbs are very loose , could this be why they aren't working or possibly a bad signal switch or wiring issue?
@@nickspagnoletti2015 easy way to check if you have a multimeter is to take the bulb out, set the meter to 20v dc, and connect one prong to hot side of the socket and the other to a good ground, probably the bumper. If you’re getting 12 volts with the switch on, then it’s a bulb or connection issue. If you’re not getting anything, then you’d have to look further up the line.
I can relate to the "sentient"comment. I've had a few cars act "odd" right before I sold them off. Currently, I have a '68 CDV "Money Pit" I'm about to list which I'm hoping won't pull any shenanigans before I let her go. It'll be a relief once it's gone. I'm sure you'll feel the same.
I always thought it was only me with these kind of problems. Back in 2022 I bought a 1991 Mercedes 560SEL W126. When we were on the way to go see the car we got a flat tire on the highway which was already a sign that I should avoid buying the Mercedes. We bought it and it started with problems on day one. Every time I tried to take it to a mechanic, another thing would pop up so I would have to reschedule the trip to the mechanic. Anyway I never got to fix it. I sold the car a month ago, when I posted the car on marketplace, the car started falling apart all at once, starter went out, rear passenger window stopped working, car wouldn’t lock, I mean everything at once. I hope the new owner is happy with it now, the guy had four other W126’s so I am sure he knows what he’s doing.
I have a 66 coupe deville and I notice the seat bolts, bolt right through the floor, is that correct?
@@nickspagnoletti2015 yeah that’s how mine are, too.
I have a 1976 Cadillac Seville with bucket seats where the passenger side power seat works but the driver's side six way power seat doesn't work. It clicks when I operate the switch, but the motor will not move. The courtesy lights at night dim when I attempt to operate the power seat switch. I tried spraying penetrating oil on all four bolts and nuts I could see under the seat. It started to work intermittently. But, after spraying the front bolts and nuts which were rusty, it stopped working. The ground wire with the round end that is supposed to bolt on to the floor I couldn't find. Does this sound like a motor problem or relay problem? Or just a ground problem? Sincerely Yours, Duane Wong Somerset, PA.
@@duanewong sounds to me like a motor problem. It wouldn’t work at all if it was the relay. I don’t know exactly what the underside of a 76 looks like, but I would grease the tracks and any gears you can find. Cables maybe. Look for any frayed or loose wires, too.
I’ve been using a deck broom, and it’s too much work. I miss my hardwood floors, they were so much easier to take care of 😢. I love your video😊
Did the valve seals fix the smoking?? Great job she needed it..
They did! Thank you.
Wow..she's Beautiful..definitely stole thar one..guess the previous owner didn't know what he had or what he was doing..keep it..cruise it..she's a beauty..
These cars look sweet with torque thrust wheels and lowered a inch or two
Good video. Thanks for sharing. I bought a serp belt 'kit' off an old 92 camaro and will use it for my new SBC 383 build. Any chance you have a list of the bolts and hardware used? I have the brackets and components (tensioner, A/C, Alt., P/S pump) but not a single mounting hardware bolt. Any thing in this area? thanks again.
hey thanks! if you look at the "instructions" i linked in the description, the second page of that pdf has all the part numbers for the whole kit. with a little googling, and a little process of elimination, i've been able to find everything i was missing separately. good luck!
Ahhh...thanks boss!
I had a similar problem with one of the rear windows in my 1977 Olds 98 sedan. The motor was OK, but nothing moved. So, I covered every moving part I could reach with WAY too much grease; it was dripping out of the drain holes. I just left it for a week or two, and the next time I tried it, it freed up and from then on it was the fastest, smoothest, of the 4 windows. That door also stayed rust-free, unlike the driver's door. Sometimes, the quick, dirty fix is the best one.
Great Great Video- Thank you 4- the Information
I know this video is old AF but would you happen to have a part number for those better bulbs? Btw I love the content definitely helping me a lot with my 65 deville sedan
Oof no, best I can remember they were Sylvania 1157s… silver star or something?
@@deadwaitdesigns thank you love all this videos like I said before they have helped me with my car
Thanks for this!!!!!
How did the camber nut come out?
The beginning of your video is the reason I found your site!! 😆
On my passenger side head I only have one hole . Was yours the same way and what did you do to solve that issue ?
No, these vortec heads have all of the accessory holes drilled already.
Its is far quicker for large areas to use a clean broom and use floor cleaner and super hot water then mops over with fresh clean water to remove any residue left. Honestly its not hard to do with a broom
I pulled the bracket off a 2002 S10 thinking it would work no chance i actually want the alternator on that side in my 57 Chevy thanks for the detailed video cheers ! TrifiveGuy
My question is I am doing the reverse of what your doing. I took the serpentine belt off along with my ac. And all those bulky brackets. Just to have a PS pump and alternator. I am now finding out that the water pump when on the belt is a reverse pump. So are you also removing and replacing your water pump with a reverse pump?
Yes I replaced it. The pump on it was standard rotation.
I respect your patients and tenacity, sir !
I have a 63 Sprint with a 302, C4, and Mustang II front suspension (power discs & steering) installed by a previous owner. And it is Rangoon Red.

Falcon : One of the best cars ever built. I owned several , from 62 - 66.
Did the 62 have a padded dashboard? My mother had a falcon and I seem to remember it didn't have a padded dashboard. I think it was a 60,61 or 62.
So how long was the wait for delivery? I’ve been wanting to give them a shot myself.
Don’t know if you’ll reply but I’m in the middle of changing all my control arm bushings and ball joints on my 68. But after all this struggle and modification needed on the lower arm would you say you put the lower bushing in from the wrong side?? Hence why it stuck out so far and was so out of alignment?
No it was definitely bent. Especially when looking at it compared to the right side.

Thank You Grandpa ? Whats that supposed to mean? Shows your complete lack of respect for older people...
There’s a friend of mine who’s a teacher at a sixth form college here in London, who says there’s a kid who’s working on a 1950s Renault 4CV. This kid’s putting period speed parts on the little cutie, but he’s putting his own 8-port Crossflow head on it. That’s not all, it’s going to have a Shorrock supercharger, Suzuki Cappuccino intercooler, and fuel injection. It’s going to be a baby version of a 1940 Ford that appeared in Hot Rod back in the fifties.
How did you put the pulley back on the power steering pump?
It’s keyed, so it just slid on and was held with the nut. The key kept it in place. Some are pressed on though, but it’s not bad to get it on with the nut.
So just slid it on and tighten the nut on the end. I have a 1969 cadillac I''m trying to do it on but wondering if it's pressed on or just slide it on.
@@wazahh1 if the pump shaft has a slot in it that matches up with the pulley, then it’s keyed and should just slide on. You’ll need the key though. Otherwise, it’s a press on.
Looking great Ps Bungee cord works great on the flap
