Is there a reason why you twist the wrap so that the color of the wrap is towards babys back? I did the same with my newborn but without the twisting of the fabric 🤔
It makes the wrap tighter and it is easier to keep baby’s airways clear. I sometimes twist on one side so it’s easier to see that baby can get air but it’s no necessary.
@@dfleischmanand the way she twists hers is a bit special, she puts the whole wrap on flat and then when she pulls it up over baby she grabs the underside of each sash, pulling it up inside out over baby. Does that particular way make it tighter over baby?? I just got a new Solly and I’ve got a newborn heavy boy, I live my Solly over my older wrap, but I need to figure out the best way to wear a quickly gaining heavy boy. He’s already passed 13lbs as a newborn. I’ve never looked at videos online for wrapping, can he recommend anything to me for my babies needs?? ❤🙏🏽
@@jaquirox6579 for a baby that heavy a stretchy wrap is going to loosen quite quickly with wear- you may have to invest in a structured carrier or woven wrap.
Depends on the stretchy, I would say. Most are good for the first year ✨️ but when your baby gets heavier you'll feel that the stretchy is giving less support or you might prefer wearing your baby in your back at some point, so you'd need a woven wrap which is more supportive.
There is a slower tutorial on my channel as well. And i offer online consultations too if you need any personal help. Search for PWDH ( pocket wrap double hammock) if you want to find a tutorial
It's a great tutorial because a lot of new moms don't realize how tight it needs to be and then they think it doesn't work because baby isn't secure or happy in it. Wrapping tighter Is what solves that for most people.
Finally a real baby and thank you so much!
Thank you! first time dad with a 3 week old, this will be so helpful!
Oo congratulations !!

Is it healthy to keep newborns setting this way? Its not dangerous for their spine?
Why do you think it might be dangerous? 🍀 because of the slightly rounded back?
@TinyN9ooor The spine should be round, the knees higher than the hips.
SO TIGHT 😶
