Granit Xhaka is proof, you always can turn your life around in any scenario.
Well said sir !
Nice one
That's a bit hyperbolic. He was and still is, a professional footballer.
@@Josh-xe3rv well it’s true, the truth hurts.
@@jaysenb if he went from a gangster to beloved footballer, then you can say he turned his life around. You can say he turned his relationship with Arsenal fans around, that's the truth. But not his entire life bcoz that's still the same
The key to Xhaka was getting him to play like he does for Switzerland. He was outstanding at the Euros. Big personality, good striker of the ball and a real threat going forward.
He’s playing free now which I love it. Zinchenko helped him a lot. Now he don’t don’t have to worry about nothing
Pretty much, you have to put a player in the right position and ensure the weakness are covered by other players...
Pirlo, Ozil, Torriera etc etc .. and once you play them in their right position confidence increases so expect better performances.
He never plays this role for Switzerland. Nonsense.
@@siberianTiger639 No you're right, but the role he played in Arsenal wasn't the same, he didn't have the protection .
Now his actually playing further up which is new and so much better.
@@tji7046- I confirm with your statement, but I also remember when Wenger used to play so many of our players out of position. Kudos to Mikel though, he's turning out to be a top coach, as he's revolutionised Arsenal inside out.
The media did always make him fault for every Arsenal loss but he never was terrible at Arsenal, he made some mistakes and got some red cards but these were consequences from having a poor team. Now suddenly they're saying that he's one of the biggest turnarounds in EPL history, just because he's playing now even better than before. Not to mention, he was one of the main men of Wenger, Emery and now Arteta.
Xhaka has always been one of the main men for real arsenal fans who see what his purpose is on the pitch
He has been terrible for a long time
Bro, his mistake literally cost us a champions league spot. I am glad he has reinvigorated himself but most of the criticism was warranted.
@Ghost protocol What do you mean by "major mistakes at pivotal moments"? Did he do major mistakes when Arsenal got knocked out by Bayern in the Champions League 2017 (10-2 on aggregate), when Arsenal lost in the Semi-Final of Europa League 2018, when Arsenal lost in Europa League final 2019, when Arsenal won the FA Cup 2020, when Arsenal bottled Top 4 last season (vs Tottenham and Newcastle), when Arsenal got knocked out by Liverpool in the Carabao Cup Semi-Final 2022 (he got a red card but it didn't really affect the game because they drew 0-0). These were the most pivotal moments for Arsenal since he joined and in none of them he did do any "major mistake". And often he did play positions he wasn't used to, like for example as a left back.
He was terrible 🤦🏾♂️
Xhaka is an inspiration to every MAN that Loves Football. He inspires me to never stop believing.
Salute to Xhaka
Arteta inherited a stable of below par players. Now he has kept the good guys and bought great players. Hats off to Arteta and Edu, we are now seeing their vision in practice.
Arsenal 2 Liverpool 1
The same below par players that won him a fa cup? Arsenal fans need to exercise humility NOTHING has been achieved yet
@@testcch6629 arteta won that fa cup for arsenal, it was his tactics against city and Chelsea that were absolutely spot on. The only person that needs to be humble is yourself
@@benwragg7990 last I checked it wasn’t Arteta on the pitch! where was this amazing tactics last season? I remember Arsenal getting dumped out in the 3rd round by a championship team and these where Arteta players. So while Arsenal are doing well right now it doesn’t mean we should start disrespecting previous players and kissing ass when nothing has been achieved yet
@@testcch6629 if you actually have some ball knowledge he played a lot of back 5 in his first one and a half season. This was because he knew the players were not good enough to play in a back 4, this was his tactics that won them the trophy. When he started bringing in his own players he started to adapt the 4231 they are playing now, still sidnt have good enough players, but it was heading in the right direction
It takes balls to stick it out at one of the world's biggest clubs despite most people writing you off and saying horrible things to you and about you on the daily. That fighting mentality is what we need at Arsenal and that's why he's the first name on the team sheet for every manager he's played under. Honestly, way to tell everyone to piss off and stand your ground, and then go on to have a really good couple of seasons.
Good job he's not at one of the worlds biggest clubs
he's the first name on the team sheet for every manager he's played under and he's never finished in the top 4 with any of them
@@cluckingbell1772 visiting this comment at the end of the season next year. Looking forward to checking back in with you.

I'm a Liverpool fan but massive credit to Arteta for what he is doing he has done a fantastic job and bought great players
The story of xhaka from zero to hero is kind of inspirational to people like me who have done so many awful and embarrassing things and always running away from those memories.
Xhaka shows you don’t have to be defined by your mistakes. It’s about what you do after
We all make mistakes and sometimes do really stupid ones, but like the other reply, it's how you deal with it, learn from it and move forward. I'm a bit like you, I run away from some situations that are very uncomfortable etc... But I'm learning.
What awful things have you done? Anything illegal
@@jamorfati
So true. If you are not willing to learn, then you never will stop
Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future.
Mikel Arteta (March 2021): “I think in the future when everything comes to normality and we’re able to work the way that’s needed to work with some stability, I think this project is going to go bang. This is where we are but sometimes it’s difficult to see those moments now. I’m sure of what we’re doing.”
Granit Xhaka is going to be an Arsenal Coach in the nearest future
I reckon he would be a good coach just a feeling😃
Imagine him working with Arteta...what a sight
TIM GIVING ARSENAL PRAISE😭if you watch this man you know this is a Legendary Rare W from him
He's actually a good pundit and relatively unbiased. People (mainly Arsenal fans) like to hate on him bcoz of his Tottenham affiliation.
It's ironic that he was a childhood Arsenal fan.
The man who deserve a huge credit is the GAFA Arteta, he transformed the man big up to xhaka and Arteta ❤️💪
Am so impressed with Granit Xhaka who has turned his game around.
As an Arsenal fan, I was so doubtful about him, because of the consent red cards that Xhaka was receiving but he has changed into being our captain with our club and he isn’t afraid to score goals especially against Tottenham in the North London derby last Saturday at home.
Also, Xhaka has had injuries, but he’s still self determined.
He is the only player that is ready to play every game , I really like xhaka
Xhaka is really the fan favourite, documentary did help but it's really his form and love for the club which made arsenal a real team this season.
Xhaka has always been one of my favourites of the team for several years
Granit Xhaka has been our POTS so far so happy he is getting the credit he deserves
Could have took the easy way out and left but took the tough road to redemption. Speaks volumes about the man and his character.
His bank account was always cheering him on.
Xhaka knew he cant play the anchor role because of his inability to tackle which lead to more fouling and him being a liability. Arteta recognised this and changed up the system so Xhaka plays a more attacking role and Partey plays as the defensive mid who does all the tacking and winning the ball. When Xhaka pushes forward the left back tucks in to fill in the gap exposed. All credit to Arteta and his managing of the Xhaka.
Another plastic FIFA 98 non match going 'expert'
This is the first time I have heard this. It makes sense
@@cluckingbell1772 You're upset because I nailed the analysis I got all these likes and you're a dumba$$ who is alone and have no friends thats right keep crying and finish puberty lol.
100% Accurate.....
He do track back make great stops, blocks n press in.......
Its easy for him now bcz the defensive part of his duties are secondary now n not primary as before.
This analysis is absolutely spot-on
Media narrative finally changing on Xhaka? Never thought I'd see the day! 😅
Wouldn't really call it a "media narrative". Xhaka was criticised when he was playing poorly and now he's praised for playing great. That's not a narrative, that's reality.
Xhaka is is better player because of Partey and Saliba has really improved their defensive set up too, once upon time he wanted out
4:10 Tim finding it hard to give Arsenal praise 😂
You do know Tim is an arsenal fan
Jezza lynch with the insightful analysis
Xhaka's turnaround paints to who he is as a person. Character! He has this militant mindset. And we must admit that as Arsenal fans we weren't right to boo him when he got subbed against Crystal Palace. And even then he swore at us and that in itself is big statement to who he is.🗣 Gangster mettle!
He was put in a defensive position in the mid which is hard. You need to be precise, have timing, be fast enough and have a cool head. He didn't have it in a poor team. I'm glad he's there because he does have balls which we need at times.
We were right. The team were chasing a goal desperately and he walked off slowly like he didn’t care and then his reacting to the initial jeers to hurry up were what created the boo’s. Both things can be true, he deserved to be booed then and deserves to have his name sung loudly now.
Theres a reason every manager rated him even when the fans didnt. Not to mention his national team.
Saliba is very early in his PL career but let's not act like VVD has been doing it for a decade 😂 he's had a great 3 year stretch and not been nearly as good since the injury 🤷🏽♂️
Man sed decade 😂😂
This
Why did Livepool pay the fee they did for Van Dijk from Southampton. He must have been somebody looked at and thought wow you have been great in the premiership . It's also obvious Livepool should have bought him from Celtic where he did well . He has been brilliant for many years
@Dragon Ball fans can't read he was at Groningen ten years ago, same age as Saliba now.
Totally agree,he has played for Southampton and Celtic !!! And he has only done it last 3 years not 15 years !!
I love the way you guys bring out football. Continue doing the good job
Xhaka really surprised me. I never liked him for his careless approach. He has really evolved, I think his new position has fit him. A professional friend of mine once told me Xhaka is great player if playing advance I never believed.
He was careless cause he was playing DM, he’s basically a Left CAM now and he’s been are best player this season, or Saliba
He was never careless, he was just too passionate and hot headed, he's just got a proper control over what he does now
It was that interview at the end of last season I believe after the spurs game or maybe thr Newcastle game can’t remember which where he called out his team mates for not being ready and scared and those who r should go home. That interview was the turning point showed how much it meant to him
Think it's mostly just down to the fact that he doesn't have to defend as much or in as desperate situations.
Looks an absolute revelation this season, his runs into the box have been huge.
What they don’t tell us.
How the Crowed booed him, how the media especially BT and Sky always blamed him for being a reckless and poor player, how some of the fan base during that period when the team played bad threatened his kids and family and abused him for every mistake even though it wasn’t his fault always.
Yes throwing the armband on the ground wasn’t ideal but Granit himself had enough from the supporters who abused his family but no one is talking about that. And about throwing Armband on the ground, Ronaldo has done that twice but no one is talking about it.
In that stadium situation the crowd was responding to him slowly walking off the pitch when we needed a goal. Xhaka was entirely wrong in that situation. But that’s okay, he made a mistake and has fought back to earn the trust and love of the fans
Thomas Partey's arrival has helped Xhaka improve. Partey is top draw.
Does Partey play for Switzerland?
No.
Does Partey play in every match that Xhaka has played well in (counting from last season)?
No.
Xhaka has improved because of being played in a position that he plays for Switzerland. And he has improved because of his character.
he is like a train at the moment Xhaka he didn't stop running his fitness levels are through the roof unbelievable at the moment, Liverpool's midfield couldn't compete with him
Xhaka has been outstanding. Looking forward to watching him in the world cup as well 👍

Xhaka was a rough diamond, in attitude and playing style, credit to Arteta for turning him into a better player again in attitude and playing.
If we win the League 2022/2023.... Its for Arteta, Edu and Xhaka
I remember the game where Xhaka kicked off. I would have been pissed too. Xhaka had actually had a decent game, the manager Emery was more to blame for Arsenal not playing well not Xhaka. But Emery decided to sub Xhaka and use him as like a lightning rod to deflect the angry fans away from him. Xhaka probably sensed this and was not happy at being subbed. Then when the fans turned on him as he predicted he lost it at them.
I respect Xhaka, he’s got balls he’s a man. He’s done dumb things on the pitch before but his a man. Always liked him
I have always known Xhaka as a good player but English Media is sometimes too much.
Big love from Nigeria 💓💯
He’s got great determination and has always been a top professional
He’s shown a great amount of character to stick around and 100% deserves every bit of praise he’s getting now. It’s also testament to the atmosphere that Arteta has created at the club and to his tactical brain. He’s tweaked the attacking shape to allow Xhaka to get forward which is where he’s at his best
Panda1 thank you, i thought i was on an island by myself where Granit is concerned, he is a player i HV ALWAYS ALWAYS LIKED HE IS AND HAS BEE ONE OF MY FAVOURITE ARSENAL PLAYERS AND AS U SO BRILLIANTLY POINTED OUT HE WAS THE FALL GUY FOR OUR PAST SHORTCOMINGS AND THE PRESS USED HIM AS THEIR WHIPPING BOY AND NOW HE HAS BEEN VINDICATED AND IS THE PLAYER WE ALL KNEW HE WAS CAPABLE OF BEING HAVING CLEANED UP HIS ACT SO GOOD ON HIM
Arsenal are brave attacking and fast playing team. They will have all good success this season minimum top four and try to challenge Man City & Liverpool and think about winning all cups which they participate.
Loving Arteta's Arsenal, this is the football and desire from the players we have wanted for ages.
It's weird hearing the media being so positive about arsenal but I can feel that after one little slip they will go right back to what they were before
Yes, my thoughts exactly. That's why I don't give too much credence into what they say; whether positive or negative
Think of it as a journey and bad things happen and it's for a good reason❤️Love Xhaka
It’s amazing when you play a player in his proper position 🫢
I think Arteta really believed in him and gave him the motivation to come back and be supported by the fans again.
Credit and respect at last for Arteta and Arsenal.. Arteta deserves much more respect, he was a genius at coaching Man City and he is again now. I give Arsenal a great chance of winning the league this season.
Respect for your subtle nod to men's cancer support guys! Haven't seen it publicised as much on a TV panel in years!

Mikel Arteta deserves every ounce of respect for Granit Xhaka success now 💯💯💯

"Run towards embarrassment, not away from it."
He always been good, I feel like his head wasn’t in the right place during those dark Arsenal times but he definitely has turned it around
Xhaka getting the credit he deserves. Utter class.
It’s because he was given licence to attack instead of being made to drop deep like Wenger, Emery, and Arteta made him
Patience has paid off in many ways.
Tim Sherwood hates it😂😂😂
Yes , as an arsenal fan I was angry with xhaka last few seasons..and now I just like him..he gives us confidence
Jesus, Zinchenco and Saliba are the season changers!!! As a Man U fan its pretty cool to see Arsenal's turnaround
The majority of Xhaka haters haven't understood why he's in the team, and first choice for every manager at Arsenal. He's been one of the most important players for Arsenal for years. We didn't have a way to play him further forward where he can do the most damage, and he's not a great defensive player.
Arsenal players are really doing well, but we forget someone who is not always in the news for his exceptional performance, even changing his position, Ben white
What a story. Imagine gettin a title w top of that or europa cup.. amazing goosebump movie stuff
Greatest man management in history right up there! The guy was never a CDM more like a Henderson type. You can see what Wenger saw in him but never understord how to use him.
Saliba is the best cb in the history of mankind,he is the 🐐
Credit to Arteta lol. People management at God level. He gets rid of who hurts Arsenal and keeps those who have the potential to take Arsenal back to glory. I agree with VVD opinion but for sure VVD is declining but Saliba is developing.
He's not the same player since having that big injury. He's lost a bit of pace aggression. The same (worse, actually) happened to Bellerin, who is not the same player at all to before his knee injuries.
8, 8, 5.
We will see together our minds because it's All of us not only one can understand
In fairness to Saliba Van dijk wasn’t as good at 21. He was 26 nearly 27 when he moved to Liverpool. Saliba has got a lot of time to develop and I think he will be just as good in his peak years 🤞
Xhaka ! The heart a my team....
I hope arsenal can pull off one of the second biggest upset in winning the league right behind Leicester one in 2016
We will do it this season by stopping City
😂 can't see that coming but arsenal this season is lit. Respect xhaka and whole arsenal team ❤️
Y you oh can live in hope but not a chance City are relentless and now with Haaland more dangerous
The pain in aunty sherwood eyes it pains him just say good things about us🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love Xhaka but I believe the role he is given by Arteta plays a big part in his current form.
Xhaka has never been bad actually just red cards and couple mistakes which the whole team were responsible but since he was a captain of a bad side he was the one everyone blamed
Xhaka was right to give finger to abusive fans. But I thought he was finished and his red cards and penalties etc got me annoyed. He also didn't seem to do enough. But much was down to frustration in dysfunctional team. He has been good for 2 seasons and has been improving like a good wine. No doubt he will have a blip but he has shown so much mental fortitude to ride it out.
Xhaka 😍
Many pundits are praising this young arsenal team, this will develop the confidence of the players, I won't be surprised seeing these team turning world class
Michael Dawson giving a masterclass in cramming as many cliches as possible into a single video.
He didn’t throw the captains armband on the floor nor did he throw his shirt onto the floor. Sorry it doesn’t suit the narrative
We love xhaka bom 🥰💪
Never loose hope and and never give up brave talent player Kevin like
There should be a movie about him
Never was a bad player. Sure, it never felt like he would win you any games on his own but he was always performing
I've never said a bad word about him. He hasn't always been as good as he is now, but he has never been as bad as he has been made out to be, he was made a scapegoat by so many of our fans, and it used to infuriate me. We had a poor team and he had a reputation for having mistakes in him and so he was always being singled out as our worst player and he never was that at all. The main difference is that with a better team, and with better players around him, he's now playing with the sort of freedom he never had before, and thanks to Arteta's relentless support he's also now playing with confidence.
Saka been outstanding for few years, his game to a different level??? Can’t be the same saka we all been watching…these pundits are clueless
Xhaka is a god of a man ❤
The media need to forget about us ..let us do our thing in peace
🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
Tbf to Xhaka he was never really that poor for Arsenal. He was given a role of defending players like Mustafi, Sokratis, David Luiz and Kolasinac, not to discredit them they are good players but we're not that goodin an Arsenal shirt, so with that Xhaka always tried his best to help them out but he misjudged a lot of tackles and made silly mistakes because he's not the best defensively but Arteta bringing in Partey who allows Xhaka to play an attacking role was master class managing I must say.
Long way to go yet. Shows the level Liverpool on even though struggling at the mo they still gave Arsenal who are on top of there game a good game. All I can say is judge when the season is done. Its so early in the season to be getting gassed up
This statement made me rofl, shows how clueless the public sits are, what we are seeing now from xhaka has always been there but he has been surrounded by mediocrity, he is a CM that sits deep and connects the defence to midfield and then helps the midfield move the ball into the channels and up also to the strikers, he has always done this and been good at work it but now he has got the players around him to showcase his real worth...
Cant sky sports show highlights in their youtube vids?

Back here after beating Liverpool, really promising to see us beat Spurs and Liverpool two weekends in a row.
Mikel Arteta has given Arsenal a lot more to believe in with the confidence and courage.
Flashback to the start of this year with Roma only offering £10 million for Xhaka when Arsenal wanted £20 million. Thank goodness he stayed.
I think I can finally say without getting mocked that I trust the process!!
Xhakas turnaround sun up arsenal and their fans tbh… very volatile and toxic but when things go well, they’re so hyped and think nothing is better than them
So he hasn't been playing well, from a neutral standpoint?
@@dre8463 he's been decent, which I've eluded too, things are going well for him and arsenal atm
@@dilan4123 okay then. This is new territory for Xhaka at Arsenal, so it's being acknowledged. I don't think it would be any different for any other fans if it happened. Man Utd fans would forgive Maguire if he started look like a competent defender again.....

Fair play to Xhaka. The dude was criticised for YEARS could have gone to Roma to escape but stuck it out and is now playing really well and he's earned the praise he's getting. As for Arsenal they won't win the league but a top 3 finish is DEFINITELY on the cards. It would be amazing to see Arsenal back in the UCL.
