Directed by Matt Tyrnauer, "Where's My Roy Cohn?" tells Cohn’s story from his birth in 1927 to his death in 1986, a picaresque journey that carries viewers from the Depression, through the Red Scare of the 50s, to the 70s and 80s New York high life of wealth, celebrity and Studio 54. By showing how America’s current divisions are rooted in dark areas of our past, the documentary offers an illuminating portrait of where we are today.

Having known the story, in my daily market analysis I have occasionally mentioned the 'mentoring' of DJT by Cohn for a number of years; even before the 2016 Election. And DJT is going down hard it seems.

I just watched an old movie about Cohen. Sorry I dont gave HBO. But I wanted to see something. What I see in him is narcissism. And Trump is very much alike. Whether it is something they are aware of it or not. Awesome commentary.
yes Lora.. as I wrote Cohn (not Cohen) mentored Trump. Originally Cohn knew Fred his father. I only met Cohn once or twice, and it was uninspiring.
It may have started as the Roy Coen playbook but at this point it’s probably closer to the American business model.

Monitoring the health decline, improvement and subsequent decline of an AIDS/HIV patient in the 80s surely contributed to further research. Whoever they were. Interesting to find out it was Cohn.
It's never fitting; but Roy indeed fought HIV to the end; and it was 'unacceptable' (fake news?). And yes it was the same Dr. Fauci who focused 'only' on vaccines in the early years of HIV, and not antibody therapeutics or cocktail drugs; which of course did turn HIV into a chronic rather than acute condition. The neglect this year of Covid 'cocktail funding is eerily reminiscent. Only now finally they recognize what needs to be done (like Sorrento is working on and got Defense Dept. funding; not OWS).

Watched the documentary until I had enough of the waste of time music behind it. The power behind this documentary has had to have viewed at least ten times before the next step in the process, but the non essential music was kept in?!? All I have to say is, next time hire someone with better ears and that understands it's a documentary not a dance class!
