I want to take a moment to thank you guys for the consistency of your content output. I recently unsubscribed from a whole bunch of channels due to their lack of new content. There is no reason why some of these channels have 200k+ subscribers and they only upload once or twice a year, if then. That is an insult to their subscribers and to hard working content creators like yourselves. I understand that couples break up. But some of them don't even bother to update or say goodbye to their followers before they abandon or shut down the channel.
I just wanted to thank you guys for appearing to have a standard and an ethic. 💛

As I’ve mentioned, I live in West Virginia, our accent is so different than most areas of the US. But I’ll say that, Alec, your words are easily understood ❤❤

Long time viewer, first time commenting. This was rather wholesome. Jamaican patois is so complex. Expressions of the language is based heavily in emotion. A phrase can mean something completely different just by how it is expressed, based on tone, feeling, pitch, inflection and even body language. All these have a huge influence on how it is interpreted. Great job Alec for providing context to those who are curious but may find the language difficult to comprehend. Kudos to Brian for being a trooper 😊

…excellently done Brian…I was born and raised in Jamaica, currently live mainly among other Jamaicans here in Toronto and regularly visit yet learned a lot from this video about Jamaican patois…appreciating even more the regional differences across the island “whey yuh wen deh go? weh part yuh deh/a go? weh yuh a go? etc.”…even Brian’s response of “picture” as opposed to “flim” for “film” resonated with me as we would say “picture” when referencing going to see a movie…which indicates less that anyone is speaking “really bad” so ease up on yuhself Alex…and Alex you got great teaching and coaching skills…please let us know the name of that book you were reading from so we can learn even more…de “patwaa” pronunciation though 😂🤣…a fun watch, big up unnuaelves and thank you 🙏🏿👊🏿
