tayzel They gave a short look at the process, but if you listened they go through a rigorous training program to identify fakes vs authentic items.

It’s a Lebron. I doubt it’s easy to replicate the technology Nike used to make those things and not make it obvious. Especially to a dude who has seen the shoe hundreds of times. Plus you don’t want them to give everything away, rep makers will catch on.

eBay: spends 2-3 minutes making sure the shoe is real
StockX: smells it and looks if it’s clean in 30 seconds, and then sends it off
eBay and StockX both have a minute to fully authenticate a shoe.
@@TripleKmafia from what ive seen at sneaker con they take about 30 secs - 3 minutes depending on the shoe.
@@elliot12233 I should’ve been more clear. In their factories they’re given a minute. They have to be quicker at sneakercon. Cartel executions are no joke, btw. Insane stuff.
There should be a way to scan some barcode on the shoe and shoebox that can track it back to the origin of sale.

I don't really see how you can diffrienciate between fakes and real products anymore. In China, Vietnam, etc you get 1:1 reps. They're made with the exact same materials as the factory, the stores over here in Asia also are now including Stock X tags for some reason. I can go down the road and pick up any pair of Nike, Yeezy, designer shoes, etc for no more than $100. Yes there are some low quality fakes but the 1:1 reps are literally the same shoes, manufacturered in the same country and using the same materials. At what point does it even constitute as fake anymore...
Heavy Friends doesn't go through the nike/adidas etc quality check process, basically the difference, otherwise basically the same

Eugene Smith they actually are different because their prices are based on a fluctuating scale, so in all honesty it seems like a fairer system to resell and buy sneakers... lots of sneakers are even under retail
@@TheGabrielberki I have no problem with StockX business model. For someone to create a business for sneakers like a stock market is ingenious. However, their authentication of sneakers is fraudulent and not approved by the brands. The reject people's pairs and call them fake (when there aren't) just so they don't have to pay them. That's the part that I am talking about

Do not buy high-dollar shoes from StockX. Go to a actual store.... look at the shoes yourself before you buy them. Don’t be cheap and trying to save 50 dollars. If the high-dollar shoe is fake StockX will not be responsible and then you will lose hundreds of dollars.
No real proof and a lot of the resale prices is outrageous especially when people bid on a particular shoe and I’m not feeling when you see a shoe for a gd price but when you click on it and see if your size is available it’s a whole different price that’s marked up. I 1st thought that this was a place where you can get sneakers for a gd price for sneaker lovers like whole sale but realized it’s a place that just all about money getting items and in hopes of selling it double triple quadruple the price where most of sneakers is just not worth it

That first authentication looked rushed, not a real authentication doesn't look like a very good way of authenticating shoes or clothes especially when fakes are so much alike
