- Wandering around the Filipino Barangay (Tagalog for town or village) of Bagumbayan (translated means "New Town" or "New Country") we said Aira's Eatery, which sells a variety of affordably priced meals for customers on the go (trike drivers, students, passersby, etc).
We try four of their best sellers and tell you how they are! - Zábava
Some foreign content creators use the country to jump start their vlogging career but, did not even care to put effort to learn the language to truly connect with the people. I have a huge respect to you Kurt, you’re one of a kind. You really invested your time to learn, embrace and continue knowing the culture and the filipino true nature on its mother language. I truly recommend people to subscribe and follow you and watch your ads as well to say thank you for what you do.
I will always support Kuya Kurt cause he is highlighting local eateries and local people.
He also took time to learn and continue to improve his Tagalog.
Watch all videos from start to finish. Have him playing in background while I do chores or work
I like your style of vlogging Kuya Kurt, very genuine interaction mo sa locals
Thank you sir for loving our country Philippines take good care and be safe
Am I imagining things or has your Tagalog gotten even better since you're back in the Philippines?
This guy is really good. Im a Filipino Canadian and I like it that he embraces the filipino cultures. Not just him there is a bunch of them residing in the Philippines now. Its my wish to retire in the Philippines too with my Canadian wife.
WOW YOU SPEAK DARN GOOD FILIPINO, IM SHOCKED~~!!!!! I live in hawaii we get filipinos here too, very nice respectful people, i only know little filipino.
Your Tagalog is getting better each day, Kurt! 👍👍 Kuhang-kuha mo na ang puntong Tagalog at mga Tagalog expressions, pati Filipino time nagaya mo na rin! 🤪🤪😆😆
That was awesome and funny at the same time, you found a “katukayo!” (a person who shares your name).
We’re looking forward to seeing you cook Filipino dishes when you get back to Utah. That must be so interesting! Nandito lang kami palagi para manood at magbigay ng komento. ❤❤
Everything is cheaper in the Philippines but it depends if what you buy of course, thank you Pinoy Kurt Tagalog...take care of yourself always and God bless you ❤
Pagmamahal is like generic love, Pag-ibig is mostly used for romantic love.
Dinuguan is cooked this way: saute pork in garlic n onions, add salt, ground black pepper, vinegar and a little sugar. When tender, add blood and stir, continue cooking till sauce is lessened. Lastly, add long green chillies.
Sugar????????????????
When?😅
Baka adobong posit dol.
Authentic sisig is pig’s face called maskara and pigs ear.. but some people does it with just pork meat.. of course with the basic ingredients of garlic onion vinegar/ calamansi sometimes with bell pepper.. They boil the meat first then they grill it then chopped with the basic ingredients. And dinuguan normally is pig innards and little pork meat, with jalapeño pepper with pork blood of course sautéed and boiled.. And pork steak is bistek but pork instead of beef.. keep up the good work . Thanks for supporting the local business.. hats off to you buddy.. shout-out from Bay Area .
you have to try fiesta in local barangay, pilipinos welcome you.
For dinuguan: meat should be tender (pressure cook the meat) then sautee sa bawang, sibuyas, then pour in the blood (strained), then vinegar (wag halo until it already boiled) then put the tanglad (secret ingredient to avoid lansa) then last pour in the sliced pork ( innards would make it yummy to (boiled in ginger).Last lagyan mo ng magic sarap. Season to taste.
Huwag masyadong kumain ng maalat. inom ka ng maraming tubig. My dear you're amazing, Kurt..Have fun and be safe always.
Ang bait at sobra kang humble Kuya Kurt. Sana dito ka na forever
Always Present Kuya Kurt... thanks for Sharing Positive GoodVibes Stay Motivated kuya kurt... GOD BLESS take care always po ..
Always present po and God bless din kayo! 🙌💯❤️
Yummy 😊😊😊
Sikat na si kumag nag guest sa tictocclock! 😆
My sister wakes up 4am to go to the town market, home by 6am start cooking 10 kinds of dishes done by 11am. Fresh food every day sold by 1pm.
Thanks Kurt, I really like this vlog. Your interactions with the locals are so funny-and with their (the locals) good nature, they respond honestly.
"Anong lasa ng pork steak" you asked and she responded "masarap" haha 😂😅.
Kuya Kurt, Pork Steak is not a barbecue. It's pork chops marinated in a variety of seasonings then fried and then cooked in the marine you used and then lots of onion rings are added on top.
Bicol express - pork meat with coconut milk n chili
Dinuguan - sauteed pork meat with pork blood
pork steak - pork meat sauteed with Calamansi !!!!
Eep on going Kuya Kurt in what you're doing giving a positive impact on Filipino cuisine and inborn Pilipino hospitality I'm wishing you all the best and thank you for showing to the world that Philippines is one of the great country to stay or visit, a million thanks Tagalog Kuya Kurt 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Great content and awesome how you met another Kurt! Keep up the great work and God bless! 🤙🏾
Your Tagalog is getting better and better
Its nice that you tried different kinds of viands and show the world you like it. I love how you do it.
I hope you see some Sinigang na Isda or Baboy, Kinilaw, or Pinakbet in your future adventures.
Getting rice into your throat is actually inhaling it, getting it in your air passage. Could be food, or drink, or even your own saliva at times.
In Tagalog you say "Nasamid ako." and your body's defense is to cough it out uncontrollably.
I really like listening to all your conversations in Tagalog. I can listen to it in the background while I work and at least it allows my ears to get used to Tagalog again. I swear it's helped me when conversing with my relatives since I'm in an English speaking household.
if you want you can go to water festival ni cavite city in june 24 morning 6am to 12noon,its Saint john the baptism festival
karinderya makes the food to sell they adjust the taste and ingredients to the people buying them.. like that sisig yeah you are right! it's made from pig's face and ears but for karinderya they change it to meat to make it easy to eat and will pair with rice better.. bicol express suppossed to be really spicy not sweet, dinuguan are blood and innards, and the pork steak will taste like light brandy..
Thanks kuya kurt for promoting Filipino food and culture. 👍👍
for dinuguan the meat and ingredients are sauteed first until meat is tender..the blood is the last to be added so as not to overcook it..
Ey silent viewer here! Lagi kitang pinapanood bossing!!
Kurt, you are a rockstar for eating the dinuguan 👊🏻.
Traditional sisig is made of pork face skin, ears, onion, mayo(adds sweetness), green pepper, egg. Usually cooked in sizzling plate.
Bistek is shortcut of beef steak. Bistek is actually made of pork, white onion, soysauce. Marinated in calamnsi.
Bicol express is pork cooked in coconut milk, lots of chili pepper. It's called bicol express since you need to eat it quick due to its spiciness.
Dinuguan is pork blood stew.
Walang mayo sa traditional sisig.
mayo on meat is gross. I have to return my order everytime I try sisig. because when i tell the waitress, no egg or mayo. They always forget.
If they or you ask where in america/state you are from, ask them where filipino nba player Jordan Clarkson plays. utah Jazz
Ang bilis ni kurt maka adop galing po ingat palagi
Lumalaki na po Ang subscriber's nyo Kuya Kurt Sana dumami pa Lalo .. ingat po palagi .. 👍💪
kuya kurt, tama ka ears and cheeks ang usually ginagamit sa sisig. but in carinderias they usually use lechon kwali or pork belly because of the easier availability of ingredients and easier preparation.
Love how you laugh.
first time I see you take out the food. it mean it's really good 👍👍👍👍
You forgot to tell which one you prefer first.
O.3 for Kurt
Just discovered your youtube channel Kurt and I'm hooked immediately just after watching 2 episodes. I'll support your channel because you are promoting our local cuisines and our local people and not to mention your funny and bubbly way of presenting your videos. And for this, count me as you new subscriber. Kudos to you and may your channel strive. Keep it up, Kurt!
the difference between pagmamahal and pag ibig is spelling😂
Yeah, you ordered ulam for 4 people. Filipinos are very conservative when it comes to ulam. One kind of ulam is just enough for one. anyway I'm so glad you like Filipino foods, and you take the rest of your order, home for a snack later. You're a happy guy and I'm amazed that you speak good Tagalog.
Attendance ✅… Nagutom tuloy ako! 😋
Looks so yummy! Yung food mukhang ok din naman.
kuya kapag kapangalan mo ang tawag don katukayo kaya kung tatawagin mo siya pwede mong sabihin tukayo for example tukayo san ka pupunta?.tukayo is one of the many tagalog words that are traced to nahuatl which is the precolonial language of Mexico . other tagalog words that have Nahuatl roots are nanay tatay pitaka palengke tiangge and many more . these words arrived in Manila through the 250 year Manila Acapulco galleon trade

You are plain hilarious and your interactions with the locals--excellent.
Pagibig is a feeling, pagmamahal is an action?😊😅
You should have paper cards so when someone ask for your channel you just give the card with all of your social media account. 😊
@tagalogkurt , hi kuya kurt, i heard you wanna know the difference between "pagmamahal and pag ibig". Well, its as simple as pagmamahal is the act of giving love to a person or something. While pag ibig is created or the result of that act..Analogously, if someone is transmitting a virus (pagmamahal), that virus (pag ibig) will reside inside the heart and body of that person..
Kuya kurt, you're such a nice and funny person.
Btw, im from taguig city,philippines😁
Galing nyo nman po magtagalog ,pinapanuo ko kyo now sa tiktok clock😊
