  • Wandering around the Filipino Barangay (Tagalog for town or village) of Bagumbayan (translated means "New Town" or "New Country") we said Aira's Eatery, which sells a variety of affordably priced meals for customers on the go (trike drivers, students, passersby, etc).
We try four of their best sellers and tell you how they are!

Some foreign content creators use the country to jump start their vlogging career but, did not even care to put effort to learn the language to truly connect with the people. I have a huge respect to you Kurt, you’re one of a kind. You really invested your time to learn, embrace and continue knowing the culture and the filipino true nature on its mother language. I truly recommend people to subscribe and follow you and watch your ads as well to say thank you for what you do.

Dinuguan is cooked this way: saute pork in garlic n onions, add salt, ground black pepper, vinegar and a little sugar. When tender, add blood and stir, continue cooking till sauce is lessened. Lastly, add long green chillies.

Authentic sisig is pig’s face called maskara and pigs ear.. but some people does it with just pork meat.. of course with the basic ingredients of garlic onion vinegar/ calamansi sometimes with bell pepper.. They boil the meat first then they grill it then chopped with the basic ingredients. And dinuguan normally is pig innards and little pork meat, with jalapeño pepper with pork blood of course sautéed and boiled.. And pork steak is bistek but pork instead of beef.. keep up the good work . Thanks for supporting the local business.. hats off to you buddy.. shout-out from Bay Area .

For dinuguan: meat should be tender (pressure cook the meat) then sautee sa bawang, sibuyas, then pour in the blood (strained), then vinegar (wag halo until it already boiled) then put the tanglad (secret ingredient to avoid lansa) then last pour in the sliced pork ( innards would make it yummy to (boiled in ginger).Last lagyan mo ng magic sarap. Season to taste.

Getting rice into your throat is actually inhaling it, getting it in your air passage. Could be food, or drink, or even your own saliva at times.

karinderya makes the food to sell they adjust the taste and ingredients to the people buying them.. like that sisig yeah you are right! it's made from pig's face and ears but for karinderya they change it to meat to make it easy to eat and will pair with rice better.. bicol express suppossed to be really spicy not sweet, dinuguan are blood and innards, and the pork steak will taste like light brandy..

Traditional sisig is made of pork face skin, ears, onion, mayo(adds sweetness), green pepper, egg. Usually cooked in sizzling plate.
Bistek is shortcut of beef steak. Bistek is actually made of pork, white onion, soysauce. Marinated in calamnsi.
Bicol express is pork cooked in coconut milk, lots of chili pepper. It's called bicol express since you need to eat it quick due to its spiciness.
    Dinuguan is pork blood stew.

@tagalogkurt , hi kuya kurt, i heard you wanna know the difference between "pagmamahal and pag ibig". Well, its as simple as pagmamahal is the act of giving love to a person or something. While pag ibig is created or the result of that act..Analogously, if someone is transmitting a virus (pagmamahal), that virus (pag ibig) will reside inside the heart and body of that person..
Kuya kurt, you're such a nice and funny person.
