This video would have been on seriously heavy MTV rotation back in the day. There are some real bangers on this new album for sure. A new one comes out later this week. The entire album to be released on June 28. Can't wait.

You must have missed our reaction to More from last year. And we have been in no way ignoring these talented ladies, there's just a lot of music in the world and time moves too fast.
Their first live performance of this at their X Anniversary show was truly "S!CK", the audience participation was amazing. Of course The Warning is always better live. I've missed your reactions to The Warning, but the bast thing about it is that it will be fun watching you catch up on everything you've missed.
The Warning is just going to put out more new music, so your top 5 will change all the time… check out Automatic Sun studio version.
WHAT LABELS DO TO BANDS - - So I've given The Warning's new music some listens and have formed an opinion. This new stuff is the result of contractual obligation - not always a bad thing. The girls who wrote QOTMS don't need writing help, but the label wanted them working with writers who produce "spins". The new album, from what I can tell isn't really rock, but instead something I would call "hard pop" - no to be confused with power pop, something I love. No one can deny that "More" or "Automatic Sun" are anything but pop songs about relationships(at least there's nothing about big booties - but "nails down my back" did not come from Pau!?). At least HYCAD alludes to the trials of touring, a topic most bands get to in their songs. Seems a far cry from the scathing critique of gen Z in "Kool-Aid Kids", or the terrifying aspect of AI for our future chronicled in "Error". Keep Me Fed promises to be a good album, but a watered down version of The Warning. Oh well, three more albums of pablum(5 ALBUM CONTRACT WITH LAVA) to get through before the warning can be the The Warning again.

Thematically The Warning alluded to wanting more out of a relationship in their previous single More, with the gradually widening aspect ratio of video together with references to multiplicity (or more) inspired by Matrix towards the end.
Here in Sick they have added the buzzing of a fly in a sonic expression of the song's theme. It starts in the background and then gets picked up by Dany on her guitar. The buzz keeps on alternating as a background track & Dany's guitar till the end. Intriguingly it keeps on buzzing even after the fly, that epitomizes ennui and everything mundane & rotting, gets squashed by Dany.
Artistic license, perhaps?
BTW music videos of their songs for the 4th album, Keep Me Fed, has captions for listeners to check the lyrics. So More & S!ck OMVs have that option.
I love the video it reminds me of QOTSA's "Go with the flow", and the song is so heavy. The Warning never disappoints. ⚡🤘

this absolutely takes me back to the early MTV days when they really played music videos and lived up to their name! 👍
i absolutely do want some official DPA/TW t-shirts and stuff with some still frames of the fly from the OMV! especially the splat... maybe have that on the back with a small frame of only the fly in the front maybe where a name tag might be placed... like a life size horsefly size, maybe...
with those random thoughts out of the way, what is *S!ck* about? what is it saying?
the current buzz seems to be that "violence" is a metaphor for "something exciting" and is used because it rhymes with "silence"... "silence" being a metaphor for "boredom" or "same old same old" type thing... "sick" is being used in today's positive form like how "cool", "slaps", and similar words have been ""twisted"" to mean something other than their normal meaning... the producer, Anton, was going around saying "that's sick!" about things he liked... the girls heard this so much, they said they could write a song with it... here we are singing along about wanting some excitement in our lives to remove the boredom and drudge of an every day existence 😜😹
basically, they are saying don't sit and rot away your life... take it by the horns and live it... kiss it, lick it, make it your own... even with any possible regrets... anything else is boring and death/rot... some are saying the fly represents the rot... others are saying the fly represents the haters... hummm 🤔
i kind of think their original song *Narcisista* speaks similarly... maybe...
BTW: this video was done completely in-house... Iban/Ivan (aka "Skinny Camera Boy") directed it... Dany has said it was something like "guerrilla video making at its best"... it was shot with iPhones! no fancy cameras or post-processing, either... low budget, solid impact!

This one is good, the other Hell you call a dream, is a banger and "Automatic Suns which they are releasing on this Friday is so evil it will stomp you through the ground. They now have released 4 songs from the new album and judging by them, the new album "keep me fed" is going to be a worthy successor to Error!

I like this video, but I have seen fan made videos of this live during the Mexico tour last year and it is much better live, as usual.
Like others have said they recently dropped a pro shot video of their new song Hell You Call A Dream from the Pepsi Center and it is pure fire.
They also just played their newest song called Automatic Sun live, that is coming out April 5, at the EL Tecate Pal Norte festival, in their hometown and it is a banger. 🤘🏻

This is a great video it's fun to watch the live versions I've seen on fan cams shows next level crowd participation and it is a banger.
