More than that, they are BETTER live. Not that their studio work is bad (it’s amazing) but they are just totally made for performing live. Their energy & enthusiasm & pure joy just has no rival.

It is live but it has a ton of production behind it from keys/synth, guitars and baking vocals to fill this out, you could say this live version has half of what is actually on the studio version from the backing tracks. Still a killer song...

There's no question that these ladies, (Dany, guitar vocals, 24; Paulina (Pau) Drums, vocals, 22, and Alejandra, (Ale as in Ahleh) Bass, Vocals, 19; ) are the future of rock. They are the next generation that will bring it back. They have zero bad songs, throw a dart and pick a song, I'm betting after you hear it you'll claim it's your favorite. Until the next one. That's just how it works. While their Teatro Metropolitan concert can be viewed all in one it's also broken up song by song. I'd suggest Disciple. I'm certain you guys will love it. Paulina even sings half the song (while still drumming, of course,) Thanks for coming back to the best power trio of this century so far.

You are not wrong. To me the notes Ale doesn't play are just as important as the notes she does. Meaning she can pulse with Pau or riff with Dany. She is an icon of bass players, and has already mastered the craft! I say this as a bass player for over 30 years.

Let me tell you that I was in the Pepsi Center that night and it was totally f'n BADD ASS.
I really like The Warning's studio work. But when they play live it is on another level for me. I have seen them play in a number of US states and a couple of countries. I can't get enough of being in the room when they play.
Amazing how much noise can be made by only three people.
Crazy that the bass is so crunchy and big that you don't immediately notice that there is no guitar during the first two verses.
    This three-piece is:
    Daniela (Dany, 24yo, guitar)
Paulina (Pau, as in POW-er, 22yo, drums)
Alejandra (Ale, pronounced AH-lay, 19yo, bass)
All three sisters sing and all are classically trained on piano.

Yes, they're sisters. The bass player Alejandra (Ale pronounced Aleh) is 19, Paulina (Pau pronounced POW!) the drummer is 22 and was voted Drumeo Rock Drummer of the Year 2023. Daniella - Dany the guitarist and lead vocalist on most songs is 24. They all sing. They're all classically trained pianists. They celebrated 10 years as a band last year. They have their 4th album (Keep Me Fed) out on the 28th June 2024
Dust to Dust live at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX (the drummer Pau sings lead vocals on this) Brilliant!
Evolve live at MTV Video Music Awards 2023 - such a kick ass track, and they certainly woke up MTV - some have said MTV is still looking for their roof!!!
Enter Sandman live from Teatro Metropolitan CDMX - Metallica asked them to "reimagine" the song any way they like - just don't change the lyrics. They did, and it's superb and appears as the first track on Metallica's "Black List" album, celebrating 30 years since the release of the Black album. 🤘
To be honest any song from the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX show is a winner, you can't go wrong! Their recorded stuff is great, but they're much better live!

Best recorded concert of decade. The Warning live does sound a lot like their previous album Error. However, their upcoming album was recorded with a new producer and there is a lot more compression, synth effects...Sounds different. Most fans prefer it live...as is true in general.

  • @morthnadic1

Excellent 2nd reaction to The Warning guys!
The Villarreal-Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards.
Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards.
Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing.
Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage.
After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020.
They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track!
They are going to release their 4th studio album "KEEP ME FED" June 28th, 2024. And 4 singles off the new album have already been released: "MORE", "SICK", "HELL YOU CALL A DREAM", and "QUE` MA`S QUIERES".
The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock.
Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico.
They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old.
Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC.
When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 24, 22 and 19 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #50 original songs (not including the remaining songs from the upcoming 4th studio album).
Drummer Paulina writes around 75% of The Warning's songs. Most of her songs begin in rock ballad form; starting with a concept, then chord progression, melody and basic song structure on the piano. She may only have a verse and a chorus when she brings it before her sisters. Together they transpose each instrument's part and "rockify" the song. They complete any lyrics, bridges and any arranging, etc. making changes along the way. A 2/3 approval vote of each instrument's part and each vocal harmony before it becomes a completed song. Paulina has said if not for her sisters, her songs would be different. Both guitarist Daniela and bassist Alejandra write equally great songs; just not as many.
Drummer Paulina recently won Drumeo's 2023 Rock Drummer of the Year and won Best Up and Coming Artist in Modern Drummer Magazine's recent reader's poll.
I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 North American MAYDAY Tour and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR. I have talked with their parents on 2 occasions and have had many conversations with their manager Rudy.
Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans.
🗣 Thank you for sharing your TW discovery with us!
    👋☺️

You should keep doing reactions to The Warning instead of going down the rabbit hole on your own. There is nothing The Warning Army (TWA) loves more than watching reactors discover how amazing these three talented young sisters are. Their story as a band from the time they were children is unlike anything you have ever seen, and their journey from the start to now is all documented and their songs are all live on CZcams. You guys are both funny and likable, so, If you continue to react to The Warning we will watch every reaction and you will hit 10,000 subs faster than you ever thought possible. My pick for your next reaction would be a double pick, first, their cover of Metallica's "Enter Sandman" from July 7, 2014, when they were very young, Dany, 14 years old (guitar, lead vocals), Pau, 12 years old (Drums, vocals), and Ale, 9 years old (bass, vocals), this cover is what really started their incredible journey, followed by their reimagined cover of "Enter Sandman" from Teatro Metropolitan Theatre on August 29, 2022. A recorded version of this with Alessia Cara is on Metallica's "Black List" Tribute album. But the live version of them by themselves is better. They do use Alessia Cara's background vocals on a backing track for their live version, but IMO it's far better than the studio recording.

TW has various styles of rock but they are invariably pure rock!!
With its structure, its breaks, transitions, rhythm changes, modulations, choruses, pre-choruses, drum attacks, its endings…
The great beauty of their art is in its simplicity but all this always seems to be at the right time and in the right way, bordering on perfection and predominating sophistication.
Each of its pieces can be very different, but always with all the TW flavor.
It’s very clear that these sisters have no limits.
They have that gift that only belongs to the geniuses that appear among us every certain long period of time.
They are the queens of the hook, the riff, the contagious rhythms, the catchy melodies, the sublime vocals, the unbeatable harmonies and the ambiguous but deep and powerful messages.
And this happens song after song... INCREDIBLE!!
    The new rock masters:
    The Warning.
In truth, both of you must react to the performance they had at the recent MTV VMAs, you will be able to fully attest to the power of the band and what exposes them as the best live band today.
Thanks and greetings from México!! 🇲🇽

@@johnnybender It was really nice of you to inform all those ignorant Mexicans that the US and especially Texas is right above them on the globe. 🤣🤣🤣
These sisters actually live quite near you in Monterrey, Mexico. For some info about them without the need to read a lot of text I can suggest a video made by a reactor in Portugal. Portugal is a country in Europe and Europe is a continent on your right if your nose face north.
Anyway, her video is named: *Top 5 Reasons for @TheWarning Hype* and I think you'll at least will enjoy looking at her. Humble regards from Sweden. It's a....Nevermind...

You know, I know one of pau's biggest influences is Neil Peart, I rarely see anybody. mention it, but I often wonder if she has listened to Skillet and if Jen Ledger is one of her drumming influences. Because there isn't a whole lot of female drummers, and really, for me, the only two that I have heard of is Jen Ledger and Paulina.

"When I'm Alone" live in teatro metropolitan 2022. That whole concert is amazing. You wanna see Dani shredding, check out "Z" same concert. Of course Disciples, error, choke, classic song "Dust to Dust" Pau is lead singer there. She also is lead on 23, Narcissta, revenant, and shares lead in disciples. All those and a lot more on that concert. You wanna see more of their catalogue, a lot of the best of it is there.

Dany, Pau and Ale are taking rock to new heights. Look I've been around music my whole life (including being a musician), and in my late 40s I have NEVER seen a band kick such ass on a level like this. The Warning are what it means to be driven by music. I love Pau's smile when she beats the crap out of her drums. You know instantly that the music is running through her like a freight train. Dany is VERY animated with all manner of "rock star face" and that's why we have a new queen of rock! Ale is a beast on bass, period! She is a driver and just punches you right in the nuts with that thunder. I've been watching these girls for just over 2 years now, but you REALLY need to go back in time with them. Songs like XXI Century Blood, Survive, Queen of the Murder Scene, Crimson Queen etc. are just so blistering. The girls harmonies are so gorgeous and is such ear candy.
Women like Lita Ford, Joan Jett, Lzzy Hale, Janis Joplin, Doro Pesch, and so on were the foundations. The Warning are the structure and the new torch bearers for rock. Metallica and Iron Maiden were already adults when they had their first albums, these girls were kids when their first record dropped. This is why I firmly and truly believe The Warning will be bigger than both of those bands. To me The Warning have reached legendary status (it doesn't take 40 years to accomplish that when you can write so brilliantly) and are on the way to becoming rock icons. LONG LIVE THE WARNING!!! #GetWarned #DanielaVillarreal #PaulinaVillarreal #AlejandraVillarreal⚡⚡⚡🤘🤘🤘💛💓💙

It's that bossy, punky, badass swagger that is so hard to capture while laying down isolated tracks in a studio. Even if you don't squeeze out the range and dynamics in production, they don't have the crowd to feed off of. So yes, the live CDMX videos are epic. Look for Dust to Dust, Disciple, Animocity, When Im Alone, or Marterio from CDMX/2022 Teatro Metro.

This Band is as good live as their recordings. I actually like them even better live. They really know how to ROCK. Great Performers. All of them. Pau is the Best Rock Drummer of the Year 2023, by Drumeo Mag. There's a great playlist of their Mexico City Concert in 2022. Probably the best live rock concert I've seen in my 74 years. I've seen them all, believe me. This is the tightest Rock Band ever. They all grew up together playing and learning from each other. They are a single Unit. A Machine.

Alejandra aka Ale 19 (pronounced Ah-lay) on the custom Spector Bass (Ale's inferno) and last but most certainly not least weighing in at 110 pounds soaking wet and 4 foot 11 inches tall.... Paulina aka Pau 22 (pronounced POW) on the drums. It's just so fitting that her nickname is POW. It certainly fits her style.

They have already got about 50 originals and besides songs like Sick and HYCAD the drummer Pau is adept at pulling ones heart out when she does a ballad on the piano such as Black Holes or Breathe. Of course she can also do their more normal rock songs while drumming as 23 or Dust to Dust from their 2022 Metropolitan Theater concert. They are dropping their 4th studio album on June 28.

    *Hell You Call A Dream*
from Blabbermouth, Dany notes, " *Hell You Call A Dream* tries to express a feeling most musicians find hard to express. When you're touring, you experience the positives, the negatives, and the whole spectrum of emotion all at once. It's about how something you love so much can be something that also weighs you down, but you continue to do it out of love. It's fulfilling, but it's tiring."
in the 3point5 interview on twitch, Pau commented about this upcoming album, _"Keep Me Fed"_ (due out Jun 28, 2024) being the closest they've gotten to the type of music that she would listen to every day... it is their art and their form of expression (TEDx 2017)...
for me, the hard, full industrial sound and lyrics of HYCAD are quite expressive of the feelings and emotions one gets at times... considering what HYCAD is talking about, think about when you are involved in a project that you are excited and living for... when being close to completing it, how hectic and chaotic things can get during its assembly... the chaos, apprehension, and anxiety you may feel when many things must absolutely come together... feelings so strong and maybe to the point of overwhelming you where you panic, get lost, feel sick, cannot eat, and need a minute, just one freaking minute, by yourself, to breathe... but you cannot due to the timeline and demands of the mantle you are wearing... a mantle of your own choosing but one that seems to be getting heavier and heavier over time... yeah...
